Wednesday's game snapped Fairchild's lengthy hitting slump, as he came into the contest just 1-for-20 on the year.

Crews snapped out of a slump at the plate, logging his first multi-hit game since April 26 (17 games) on a pair of singles. Crews attempted to steal second base both times he reached, going 1-for-2 on the attempts. Through 159 plate appearances, Crews is slashing .189/.245/.317 with five home runs, 22 runs and 11 RBI.

Abrams got on base in four of his five plate appearances, tallying a pair of singles and a pair of walks for his 10th multi-hit performance of the year. The 24-year-old shortstop has been exceptional this season, slashing .311/.375/.525 across 137 plate appearances to go along with five home runs, 18 runs, 15 RBI and eight stolen bases.

Ramirez notched a pair of extra-base hits, including a home run off Jameson Taillon. The 23-year-old rookie has been off to a strong start in 2025. In 82 plate appearances, Ramirez is slashing .260/.305/.571 with five homers, nine doubles and 10 RBI.

Stowers went 3-for-4 with two solo home runs and a triple during Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Cubs.
Stowers tagged Cubs starter Jameson Taillon for a pair of solo homers, one in the second inning and one in the fourth, bringing the Marlins back into the win column to snap a three-game losing streak. It was the 27-year-old outfielder's third multi-homer game in his last 13 appearances. Stowers has gone 15-for-48 (.313) with eight home runs and 14 RBI during that stretch.

Finnegan picked up the save in Wednesday's 5-4 win over Atlanta, allowing one hit with one strikeout over a scoreless ninth inning.
Washington came back from a 4-1 deficit in the seventh inning, thrusting Finnegan into a save opportunity. The 33-year-old collected his 13th save of the campaign, retiring three straight batters after allowing a leadoff single to convert his fourth straight save. Through 15.2 innings, Finnegan owns a 1.40 ERA and a 16:7 K:BB.

Marlins' Jesus Tinoco: Bounces back with perfect inning
Tinoco picked up the save in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Cubs, throwing a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout.
Tinoco blew a save Tuesday night, but he retook the mound Wednesday for the ninth frame with the Marlins leading 3-1 and fired a perfect inning. He retired Carson Kelly, Pete Crow-Armstrong and Nico Hoerner in order. In 14 appearances, Tinoco has a 4.61 ERA and a 9:6 K:BB over 13.2 innings while leading the Marlins with four saves, though Calvin Faucher is also in the mix at closer.

Cubs' Jameson Taillon: Yields three homers to Marlins
Taillon (2-3) took the loss Wednesday against the Marlins, allowing three runs on four hits and no walks with seven strikeouts over six innings.
Taillon surrendered four home runs in his previous start and couldn't keep the ball inside the park once again Wednesday. Three of the four hits he allowed to the Marlins were long balls, with Kyle Stowers hitting two and Agustin Ramirez accounting for one. Though Taillon hadn't yielded multiple home runs since his season debut before this stretch, he's been tagged for a homer in all but two starts this year. Over 49.2 innings, he owns a 4.53 ERA and a 42:9 K:BB. Taillon will look to get back on track in his next start, which is scheduled to be a rematch with Miami next week.

Weathers (1-0) picked up the win Wednesday against the Cubs, allowing one run on two hits and one walk with five strikeouts across five innings.
Miami activated Weathers off the injured list for Wednesday's start after a forearm injury kept the 25-year-old sidelined since the beginning of the season. While he threw only 76 pitches -- an expected outcome after maxing out at 57 pitches during his rehab assignment -- Weathers worked with efficiency versus a potent Cubs offense. His lone blemish came in the fourth inning when Seiya Suzuki lifted a solo homer. His next start is scheduled for next week in a rematch with the Cubs.

Reds' Nick Lodolo: Yields three runs in loss
Lodolo (3-4) took the loss Wednesday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 5.1 innings.
Lodolo failed to complete six innings for the fourth time in his last six starts, getting pulled midway through the sixth frame after yielding a solo home run to Lenyn Sosa. During that six-start stretch, Lodolo is 1-3 with a 4.76 ERA and 34 strikeouts across 34.0 innings. He's tentatively expected to make his next start Monday at Pittsburgh.
