Karros went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Marlins.

Karros saw a brief dip in playing time in late June, but he has rebounded by going 9-for-24 (.375) with two homers, four doubles and six RBI over his last nine games. The third baseman is batting .258 with a .765 OPS, six homers, 26 RBI, 40 runs scored, 16 doubles, one triple and two stolen bases over 82 games this season. Karros will likely need to continue this hot stretch of play to keep Willi Castro from infringing on his playing time at the hot corner.

Goodman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Marlins.

Goodman has now homered six times over his last six games, racking up 11 RBI in that span. The catcher is enjoying quite the breakout year in the power department. With 27 homers through 81 contests, he's just four shy of matching his total from last year. Goodman is batting .243 with an .853 OPS, 50 RBI, 54 runs scored, 13 doubles and five stolen bases on the year.

Moniak went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a triple, a double, three total RBI and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Marlins.

Moniak had a chance at the cycle, but he flew out in the seventh inning and didn't get another at-bat. This was his first multi-hit effort since May 13, when he also came up a single shy of the cycle versus the Pirates. He's batting .271 with a .922 OPS, 14 homers, three triples, 10 doubles, 35 RBI, 25 runs scored and a stolen base over 52 contests this season. Moniak has gone just 6-for-27 over nine games since returning from ankle tendinitis, but he has homered in each of the last two contests.

Bernardino struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Marlins.

The Rockies had a relatively fresh bullpen in this game after utilizing just one reliever Tuesday, so it's a bit of a surprise Bernardino got the save chance. Both Victor Vodnik and Antonio Senzatela went unused while Juan Mejia and Jimmy Herget pitched earlier in the contest to preserve the lead. Bernardino has had a decent season with one save, five holds and two blown saves while pitching to a 3.48 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 26:10 K:BB across 33.2 innings. Bernardino is the lone left-hander in Colorado's bullpen, so he may be called upon for some save chances when a string of left-handed hitters is due up. Still, chasing saves with any Colorado reliever is risky business in fantasy.

Freeland (2-7) allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out seven over five innings to earn the win over the Marlins on Wednesday.

Freeland put together a decent showing and exited at 85 pitches (55 strikes). The Rockies' bullpen managed to hold the lead, allowing Freeland to come away with his first win since April 7 versus the Astros. He posted a 6.67 ERA over 29.2 innings in June, which was actually an improvement compared to May. Overall, the veteran left-hander has a 7.25 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 68:18 K:BB through 77 innings over 15 starts this season. Freeland's next outing is projected to be a tough one on the road versus the Dodgers early next week.

The Dodgers will recall Gervase from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Gervase will be welcomed back into the Dodgers' bullpen after firing nine consecutive scoreless innings with Oklahoma City. He'll replace Charlie Barnes, who threw seven innings out of the pen during Wednesday's loss to the Athletics.

The Dodgers will option Barnes to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The Dodgers were expected to have a bullpen game Wednesday, but Barnes derailed those plans by pitching seven innings in a loss to the A's, during which he served up seven runs on 12 hits and two walks while striking out two batters. Rather than keeping a taxed arm in the bullpen, the Dodgers will now send the 30-year-old southpaw back to Triple-A and call up Paul Gervase to fill the open spot.

Mitchell went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple, an RBI and a run scored Wednesday in a 4-2 win against Cincinnati.

The Reds could not get Mitchell out as he notched his second straight multi-hit game and fourth outing this season with more than one extra-base hit. Mitchell started July on a strong note after finishing June with a .293/.346/.507 slash line in 24 games. The 27-year-old has been a major contributor all season for the Brewers with an .800 OPS while working as the club's primary center fielder.

Megill earned the save Wednesday against the Reds, allowing a hit with one strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.

Megill allowed a double in the ninth but struck out the slumping JJ Bleday with a runner on third to give the Brewers the series win. The right-hander has converted his last four save opportunities and hasn't allowed a run in his last 10 trips to the mound, striking out 15 and allowing only four hits over 10 innings during that stretch. The 32-year-old has solidified himself as Milwaukee's closer after a nervy start to the season, as he now has a 3.27 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 44:9 K:BB across 33 innings while going 12-for-14 in save chances.

Marte went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Brewers.

Marte tied the game with a homer in the second inning off of Shane Drohan that just stayed fair down the left-field line. This was Marte's second time going yard in his last six games, and all five of his home runs this season have come since the Reds recalled him from Triple-A Louisville in early June. Since getting called back up to the majors, the 24-year-old has a .225/.286/.493 slash line with nine extra-base hits, three steals, eight RBI and 11 runs in 22 games.
