Patrick (1-0) notched the win Saturday against the Royals, allowing no runs on four hits and three walks in five innings. He struck out four.

Patrick's control wasn't the sharpest Saturday, but he managed to keep Kansas City pretty quiet in the hit column. Although two of the hits allowed went for extra bases, the right-hander was able to leave both of those runners stranded to continue a strong start to his campaign in terms of run prevention. Patrick has surrendered a lone run across his first 9.1 innings, though his 7:4 K:BB isn't nearly as impressive. Even so, he should continue to carry streaming appeal in his next scheduled start versus the Nationals.

Freeman went 2-for-5 with two doubles and four RBI in Saturday's win over the Nationals.

The All-Star first baseman has now totaled four bases in three straight games to begin April. Freeman has four extra-base hits over that span and has also collected seven RBI. He'd gone a quiet 4-for-20 in March, so Freeman is certainly starting to pick things up this month.

Pages went 3-for-5 with a home run, a stolen base, three RBI and an additional run scored in Saturday's 10-5 win over the Nationals.

Pages is heating up a big way of late. He's now delivered five straight multi-hit games, going deep twice over that span while racking up five RBI as well. Additionally, Pages stole his first base of the campaign Saturday, and he's now batting an even .500 with three home runs and 10 RBI over 31 plate appearances.

Irvin (1-1) took the loss Saturday against the Dodgers, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks in four innings. He struck out four.

Facing a vaunted Dodgers lineup, Irvin appeared to be overmatched Saturday. The right-hander was never quite able to settle in, throwing just one scoreless frame in the fourth inning to provide something of a silver lining to finish off an otherwise poor outing. Irvin has surrendered eight runs over his first nine frames of 2026, so he'll be looking steady the ship a bit in another fairly tough assignment against the Brewers in Milwaukee next weekend.

Mlodzinski did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks over 4.2 innings in a 3-2 victory over Baltimore. He struck out five.

The right-hander started off strong with just two baserunners allowed through three scoreless frames, but he gave up two runs on four hits and a walk in the fourth inning and was unable to make it through the fifth. Mlodzinski's 4.00 ERA and 13 strikeouts through his first two starts of the season are decent, but his 1.56 WHIP and nine combined innings are less encouraging. A road matchup with the Cubs likely awaits next weekend.

Glasnow (1-0) earned the win Saturday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out nine.

That's now back-to-back outings with six innings of two-run ball to begin the season for Glasnow, who fired 101 pitches Saturday. The right-hander was granted plenty of cushion, with the Dodgers mounting an early 6-0 lead, and he managed to hold Washington to just two runs despite yielding three extra-base hits. Glasnow owns a sharp 15:3 K:BB so far, and he'll be looking for similar results in next weekend's scheduled start at home versus the Rangers.

Sewald struck out two to record the save after tossing a scoreless and hitless inning in Saturday's 2-1 win over Atlanta.

The veteran right-hander retired the side in order, but Atlanta made him work for it with a pair of eight-pitch at-bats and a total of 21 pitches (14 strikes) Sewald is 3-for-3 in save chances this season and has posted four scoreless outings in five appearances, with the lone exception being Friday's game against Atlanta, when he allowed two runs on two homers over two-thirds of an inning.

Elder (1-1) was tagged with the loss Saturday against the Diamondbacks after allowing two unearned runs on four hits and a walk while fanning eight across seven innings.

Elder was dominant on the mound after tossing 61 of his 89 pitches for strikes, but unfortunately, a throwing error following a bunt in the second inning allowed the Diamondbacks to score their two runs of the game. Elder has pitched much better than his 1-1 record indicates, though. He has posted a 0.00 ERA over 13 innings with a 13:2 K:BB in his first two outings. His next start should come against the Guardians at home next weekend.

Soroka (2-0) earned the win Saturday against Atlanta after giving up one run on four hits and three walks while fanning three across five innings.

Soroka went five innings for a second straight start to begin the campaign, though he didn't showcase the strikeout stuff that saw him rack up 10 punchouts in his season debut. Through his first two starts with the Diamondbacks, the right-hander has allowed just one run while posting a 13:4 K:BB. Soroka lines up for a road matchup against the Phillies his next time out.

The Brewers don't believe Frelick suffered an oblique strain, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Frelick was grimacing in pain after his fourth-inning single in the second game of Saturday's twin bill, and after a visit from the training staff, he exited the contest with what was described as left side tightness. However, the Brewers don't seem to think it's a new injury; Frelick had been dealing with pain in that area coming into Saturday. Testing will likely be needed to confirm the extent of the issue, but he should be considered day-to-day for now.
