Ruiz went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, one stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 2-1 win over the Mets.

Ruiz doubled in the bottom of the second inning and manufactured the Marlins' first run of the game by stealing third base before scoring on a groundout. It was Ruiz's eighth stolen base of the season. He then tripled and scored in the fourth, accounting for both of Miami's runs in the low-scoring affair. The speedy outfielder is hitting just .216 with a .231 on-base percentage but has a team-high .514 slugging percentage in 39 trips to the plate this season. He has three doubles, one triple and two homers to go with five RBI, 10 runs scored and the eight steals.

Duran (1-2) took the loss Friday, giving up a run on two hits in the ninth inning of a 1-0 loss to the Guardians. He struck out one.

Called in to protect a 0-0 tie, Duran instead served up a game-winning solo shot to Kyle Manzardo on a first-pitch splitter that caught too much of the plate. It was the first home run Duran has allowed this season, and while he does have two losses, the Phillies closer is a perfect 8-for-8 in converting save chances while posting a 1.98 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 22:5 K:BB through 13.2 innings.

Fairbanks picked up the save in Friday's 2-1 win over the Mets, issuing one walk with two strikeouts in a hitless and scoreless ninth inning.

It's been a rough start to the season for Miami's closer, as he entered Friday having allowed at least one run in three straight outings and at least three runs in three of nine appearances since the beginning of April. Fairbanks struck out the first two batters he faced Friday and closed it with a flyout from Bo Bichette. It was Fairbanks' sixth save of the season to go with an 8.25 ERA and 19:6 K:BB across 12 innings.

Perez (3-6) earned the win Friday against the Mets, allowing one run on two hits and no walks with five strikeouts across 6.1 innings.

Perez's lone blemish was a first-inning solo homer allowed to Juan Soto. The right-hander faced the minimum the rest of the way before being pulled with one out in the seventh. It was the first time Perez recorded more than 18 outs in a start since Opening Day, and it was just his third quality start of the season. Perez has undeniably electric stuff, but he's been hurt by walks and homers this season, and he came into Friday having lost five straight starts. Friday was his first start of 2026 without issuing a free pass. With the strong outing, Perez lowered his ERA to 4.91 with a 63:28 K:BB across 58.2 innings this season. The 23-year-old will look to build on the performance with a road date in Toronto next week.

Sanchez didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Guardians, scattering four hits and two walks over eight scoreless innings. He struck out six.

Cleveland couldn't even get a runner into scoring position against Sanchez, but the southpaw was matched by an equally outstanding performance from Gavin Williams, and the game was still tied 0-0 heading into the ninth inning. Sanchez got lifted after 96 pitches (60 strikes) and had to watch as Jhoan Duran served up the game-winning homer to Kyle Manzardo. Sanchez didn't get the win, but he did extend his scoreless streak to a stunning 37.2 innings -- the second-longest streak ever by a Phillie, behind only Hall of Famer Grover Cleveland Alexander's 41-inning streak in 1911. He'll look to make franchise history in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next week in San Diego.

Muncy was removed from Friday's game against the Brewers after getting hit on the wrist by a pitch, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Muncy was taken out of the game immediately after taking a 95.5 mph sinker off his hand/wrist in the eighth inning. He'll likely be sent in for X-rays to determine whether he suffered a fracture, and the Dodgers may have more information on his status after the game. If the 35-year-old veteran ends up needing to miss time, Santiago Espinal and Miguel Rojas would be in play to start at the hot corner.

Taillon (2-4) took the loss Friday as the Cubs fell 4-2 to the Astros, giving up four runs on eight hits and a walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out five.

Only one of the hits off Taillon went for extra bases, but it was a solo shot by Christian Vazquez in the third inning. It was the MLB-leading 17th homer served up by the veteran righty, and Friday's outing was the first time Taillon has failed to last at least five innings since his first start of the season March 31. He's lost three straight starts, and Taillon will carry a 5.20 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 47:18 K:BB through 55.1 innings into his next trip to the mound, which is set to come on the road next week in Pittsburgh.

Karros isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Arizona.

Karros will get a day to reset Friday after going 0-for-10 with a walk and three strikeouts over his last three games. His absence will allow Chad Stevens to start at third base and bat ninth.

Julien isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Arizona.

Julien will miss out on the starting nine for a second consecutive game after going 0-for-25 with nine strikeouts across his last nine games. Willi Castro will draw the start at second base, and Sterlin Thompson will work as Colorado's designated hitter.

Susac isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Susac has reached base six times and driven in two runs across his last three games, but the Giants will keep him on the bench to begin Friday's contest. Jesus Rodriguez will get the nod at catcher and bat seventh.
