Liberatore began the game well, opening with four scoreless frames. However, he lost steam in the fifth, giving up four runs on four hits and two walks before being pulled. While that soured Liberatore's outing significantly, a positive takeaway is that he racked up 13 whiffs and a season-high nine punchouts after previously not striking out more than six batters in any appearance. Liberatore will carry a mediocre 4.70 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 43:20 K:BB across 51.2 innings into his next start, which is lined up to be a road matchup against Cincinnati.

Lopez went 3-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 8-4 loss to Atlanta.

The shortstop racked up his 10th multi-hit performance in 18 games this month, boosting his May batting average to a blistering .384 (28-for-73). The surge has lifted Lopez's slash line on the season to .346/.377/.497 with four homers, eight steals, 21 RBI and 30 runs in 48 contests.

Edwards went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-4 loss to Atlanta.

Edwards opened the scoring for Miami by taking Martin Perez deep to lead off the bottom of the first inning. It was his second straight game with a homer, and over his last 12 games the typically light-hitting second baseman is batting .304 (14-for-46) with four homers, two steals, seven RBI and 12 runs.

Acuna went 1-for-4 with two walks, a double and three runs scored in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Marlins.

Returning from a hamstring strain that sidelined him May 2, Acuna got the start at DH and made an impact as the leadoff hitter. The superstar outfielder had been showing signs of heating up prior to getting hurt, slashing .276/.394/.397 over his prior 16 games with four doubles and a homer, but with Drake Baldwin (oblique) now on the shelf, Atlanta may need Acuna to find his power stroke quickly.

Harris went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Marlins.

The center fielder took Andrew Nardi deep in the sixth inning for a solo shot that tied the game at 4-4, before Atlanta broke it open late. The long ball was Harris' ninth of the season while the steal was his third, and through 46 contests he's slashing .291/.319/.494 with 19 runs and 26 RBI.

Olson went 2-for-3 with two walks, a double and three RBI in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Marlins.

The first baseman helped break the game open with a two-run single in the eighth inning. It was Olson's first multi-hit, multi-RBI performance since May 9, and on the season he's slashing .283/.364/.594 with 14 homers, 36 runs and 41 RBI. Olson ranks third in the majors in RBI behind the Dodgers' Andy Pages and the Marlins' Liam Hicks.

Thornton will start Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

He'll be filling the opening left in New York's rotation by Clay Holmes (leg) and should receive several opportunities to make an impression with the big club before Kodai Senga (back) returns from the IL in a few weeks.

Even with Ha-Seong Kim back in action as the starting shortstop as well, Dubon could retain a near-everyday role given his defensive versatility.

Lovelady earned the save in the Nationals' 9-6 win over the Mets on Tuesday after striking out one batter in a scoreless ninth.

With both Gus Varland and PJ Poulin being deployed in Monday's extra-inning loss, Nationals manager Blake Butera turned to Lovelady to protect the team's three-run lead. Lovelady answered the call, needing just 10 pitches (eight strikes) to close out Tuesday's game, and capped things off by striking out Carson Benge. Lovelady has a 2.61 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 20:14 K:BB across 20.2 innings this season.

Perez didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Marlins, giving up four runs on five hits and two walks over five innings, He struck out 10.

Moving back into the rotation after JR Ritchie was sent back down to Triple-A Gwinnett, Perez got ambushed by Miami for three runs in the bottom of the first inning, but he kept his focus and wound up setting a new career high in strikeouts while firing 55 of 78 pitches for strikes. The veteran southpaw sports a 2.85 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 38:13 K:BB through 41 innings over 10 appearances (six starts), and he'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Nationals.
