Nunez went 0-for-3 with a stolen base in Monday's extra-innings loss to the Mets.

The speedy infielder began the night on the bench but still wound up seeing a nearly full allotment of plate appearances after pinch-running for Brady House in the seventh inning of a game that wound up going 12 frames. Nunez's steal was his 20th of the season, tying him with Jose Ramirez for the major-league lead, but he's been a fairly one-dimensional fantasy asset in 2026, slashing .187/.299/.209 in 45 games with zero homers, 14 RBI and 18 runs.

Morales is slashing a stunning .404/.472/.697 over his last 31 games for Triple-A Rochester with eight doubles, eight homers, 19 RBI and a 13:28 BB:K.

The 40th overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Miami, Morales struggled to make any kind of impact at the plate or find a defensive home during his first few years in the Nationals' system. After another sluggish start to 2026, however, things have suddenly clicked for the 24-year-old, and after fanning 30.3 percent of the time over 95 games for Rochester last season, he's shaved that down to 22.4 percent during his month-long heater. Morales has mainly played third base in 2026 after being used primarily at first base the two prior years, and with the Nats having demoted Brady House on Monday, the door would seem to be open for Morales to make his big-league debut in the coming weeks.

Atlanta recalled Mederos from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Mederos will give Atlanta some length in the bullpen following Monday's blowout loss in Miami. The 24-year-old holds a 4.81 ERA and 1.48 WHIP with 21 strikeouts across 24.1 innings this season with Gwinnett.

Atlanta reinstated Dodd (back) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

The left-hander has been on the shelf nearly a month due to left thoracic spine inflammation, but he's ready to rejoin the active roster after a three-appearance rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett. Dodd allowed one earned run with a 4:1 K:BB over four innings for Atlanta prior to the injury and should work as a middle reliever that can also provide some length out of the bullpen.

Atlanta selected Tromp's contract from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Tromp is set to share catching duties with Sandy Leon while Drake Baldwin (oblique) and Sean Murphy (finger) recuperate. The 31-year-old backstop is a career .221/.230/.390 hitter over parts of six big-league seasons.

Soto went 2-for-5 with two walks, a run scored and two RBI in Monday's extra-innings win over the Nationals.

Facing the team he made his big-league debut with in 2018, Soto was a constant presence on the basepaths as he extended his streak of games with at least one run to five. The 27-year-old superstar has found his rhythm in May, collecting multiple hits in four of the last seven contests while delivering a .357/.455/.571 slash line with two homers, three steals, six RBI and seven runs.

Atlanta optioned Ritchie to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Ritchie was tagged for six runs over four innings in Monday's loss to the Marlins. He was terrific in his major-league debut last month but wound up posting a 4.91 ERA and 21:16 K:BB over 25.2 innings in his five starts for Atlanta. With Ritchie back in the minors, Martin Perez should settle into a rotation spot for Atlanta.

Baty went 2-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Monday's extra-innings win over the Nationals.

The 26-year-old launched a solo shot off Jake Irvin in the fourth inning before getting in on the fun during the Mets' 10-run eruption in the top of the 12th with a two-run single. Baty's long ball was just his third of the season, but two of them have come during his current seven-game hitting streak, a stretch that has seen him hit .345 (10-for-29) with a double, four runs and seven RBI.

Atlanta placed Baldwin on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right oblique strain.

Baldwin evidently suffered the injury during Monday's loss to the Marlins. It's unclear what the severity of the strain is, but oblique injuries often result in a longer-than-minimum stay on the IL. With Sean Murphy (finger) also sidelined, Atlanta will use Sandy Leon and Chadwick Tromp as its catching duo.

Raley gave up a run on a hit and two walks in two-thirds of an inning Monday but still recorded his seventh hold of the season in an extra-innings win over the Nationals.

Entering the game to begin the seventh inning with the Mets ahead 5-3, Raley gave up a leadoff double to James Wood and then walked the next two batters to load the bases, but the damage ended up being limited to a CJ Abrams sacrifice fly. Raley's seven holds leads the team, and he's delivered a strong 1.47 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 21:8 K:BB through 18.1 innings this season.
