Alzolay (elbow) has struck out four batters and allowed two earned runs on four hits and three walks across three innings in three appearances for Triple-A Syracuse since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list June 4.

Alzolay was on the shelf for the first two months of the minor-league season, presumably because he was still working to regain command and velocity following his August 2024 Tommy John surgery. After making six rehab appearances across three different lower-level affiliates, Alzolay received the green light to join Syracuse earlier this month, but he's looked rusty in his initial opportunities at the Triple-A level. Though Alzolay is only three seasons removed from saving 22 games for the Cubs, he'll probably need to return to dominant form over a prolonged period at Syracuse before getting another look in the majors.

Triple-A Syracuse placed Lambert on the 7-day injured list June 4 due to an unspecified injury.

Lambert, 23, has struck out one-third of the batters he's faced this season, but a bloated 18.7 percent walk rate played a big part in him submitting an inflated 6.19 ERA and 1.62 over 16 innings at Triple-A. He's without a clear timeline to return to action for Syracuse.

Torres left Monday's game against the Astros with an apparent left side injury, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Torres looked to suffer the injury on a swing during the top of the second inning, and he was unable to finish the at-bat. The 29-year-old was activated from the injured list at the beginning of the month after previously down with a left oblique strain, so this is a concerning sight for fantasy managers. The Tigers should have an update on Torres' status shortly.

Zobac (knee) was activated from the 7-day injured list Friday.

Zobac began the season on the minor-league IL due to a knee injury. He looked sharp in the Arizona Complex League while ramping back up, cruising to a 3.18 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with a 14:3 K:BB across 11.1 frames. Zobac was activated over the weekend and made his first appearance at Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Saturday, allowing one run on one hit and three walks while striking out two over 2.1 innings.

Hampton (elbow) was activated from the 7-day injured list Friday.

Hampton made six rehab appearances in the lower levels of the minors while working his way back from Tommy John surgery, and while the results weren't sparkling, he's been activated from the IL. The right-hander received mixed results in his first action this year at Double-A Somerset, as he surrendered three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three over three frames.

Kessinger (hamstring) has gone 2-for-19 (.105 average) with five RBI in five games since Triple-A Syracuse reinstated him from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Kessinger is back in action for Syracuse after completing his recovery from the significant left hamstring injury he sustained early in spring training. Before reporting to Triple-A, Kessinger slashed .172/.442/.414 with one home run, one stolen base and a 11:12 BB:K in 10 games between the rookie-level Florida Complex League and High-A Brooklyn.

Francisca (shoulder) has gone 4-for-27 (.148 average) with a 0:8 BB:K, one stolen base, three RBI and one run in seven games for High-A Lake County since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list June 3.

Francisca began the 2026 campaign on Single-A Hill City's IL due to the shoulder issue, but after playing in nine rehab games in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League from May 11 through June 2, he was activated and assigned to the Guardians' Midwest League affiliate. The 20-year-old has gotten off to a slow start at Lake County, which is to be expected following an extended absence to begin the season.

Meckler (head) is starting in left field and batting third Monday against the Diamondbacks, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Meckler was lifted from Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay after he ran into the wall in center field during the fourth inning. However, he managed to avoid a significant injury and will be right back in the lineup for Monday's series opener. Meckler is 2-for-14 with one double, two RBI and three runs scored over his last five appearances.

Glasnow (back) has yet to resume throwing, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.

It was reported over the weekend that Glasnow could throw in the near future, but he's yet to make any progress. He's been on the injured list since suffering a back injury May 6 in his start against the Astros, and until he can gain clearance to resume throwing, a return date will be difficult to estimate.

Verlander (hip) threw 66 pitches during a four-inning simulated game Monday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Verlander went up against the likes of Hao-Yu Lee, Jake Rogers and Wenceel Perez during Monday's sim game, per Petzold. Petzold also notes that it seems as though the Tigers aren't confident the veteran right-hander is ready to face major-league competition, despite being given a clean bill of health. It's not yet clear as to when Verlander will be activated from the 60-day injured list, though Saturday against the White Sox appears to be the next possibility.
