Lowe went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Cubs on Saturday.

Coming into Saturday, Lowe had remarkably failed to plate a run over his past 28 games dating back to May 31. He finally ended that skid when he launched a solo blast to right field in the fourth inning Saturday. Lowe posted a paltry .544 OPS during the RBI drought and struck out at a 33.3 percent clip, which has cost him playing time -- he's started just twice over the Reds' past six contests.

Pfaadt (3-1) allowed two runs on six hits and struck out two without walking a batter over 5.1 innings to earn the win over the Dodgers on Saturday.

Pfaadt threw 55 of 77 pitches for strikes to keep a dangerous lineup in check. He's allowed just three runs over 15.2 innings across three starts since rejoining the Diamondbacks' rotation in late June. Pfaadt also looks to have some extra security in the rotation since Zac Gallen (elbow) is likely headed to the injured list. Pfaadt is at a 4.70 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 41:18 K:BB through 53.2 innings over 16 games (six starts) this season, but he appears to have made a breakthrough during his most recent stint in the minors.

Yamamoto (9-6) allowed six runs on five hits and four walks while striking out six over six innings to take the loss versus the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Yamamoto's run of five straight quality starts came to a crashing halt when Arizona put up five runs in the sixth inning, capped by James McCann's three-run home run. The four walks matched a season high for Yamamoto, while the six runs were a season high as well. He now has a 2.85 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 106:25 K:BB through 110.2 innings over 17 starts this season.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said after Saturday's 9-2 win over the Dodgers that Troy is day-to-day and won't require imaging on his bruised right shoulder, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Troy exited in the fifth inning after crashing into the center-field wall following a catch. The rookie said he felt a "sharp pain" in his right shoulder and indicated that he will see how he feels Sunday before the Diamondbacks decide on his availability for the series finale with the Dodgers. Ryan Waldschmidt (hand) is slated to start in center field in Sunday's contest, so Troy probably won't be included in the lineup even if he's feeling capable of playing.

Waldschmidt was removed from Friday's matchup after being hit on his right hand by a pitch, but it appears he's dodged a serious injury. Tommy Troy started in center field Saturday but exited early with a shoulder issue, so Waldschmidt's quick return will be a boost to the Diamondbacks' lineup. Waldschmidt is slashing .254/.309/.351 with no homers, nine doubles, a triple, 11 runs, eight RBI and five stolen bases through 34 contests so far in his rookie campaign.

Clement went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Padres.

Clement extended his hitting streak to six games with the effort. This was also his first steal since May 22 and his first attempt since June 18, which suggests the hip injury that bothered him at times in June is no longer a concern. Clement is not a huge speed threat -- he's just 3-for-4 on steal attempts this year and totaled just six during the regular season in 2025 -- but he's been solid all around with a .297 average, .748 OPS, seven home runs, 30 RBI, 41 runs scored, 23 doubles and one triple over 92 contests.

Thornton recorded a save against the Reds on Saturday, retiring the only batter he faced on a groundout.

Ryan Rolison was handed the ball in the ninth inning with Chicago up 5-3, but he was lifted with two outs after putting runners on second and third base. Thornton was summoned to go head-to-head with Sal Stewart, and the game ended when Stewart grounded out to second. Thornton thus logged his third save of the season and notched his ninth scoreless appearance across his past 10 outings. Since Daniel Palencia (elbow) landed on the injured list June 16, four different Cubs relievers have notched a save, and three (including Thornton) have posted multiple saves. One of those three pitchers (Jordan Wicks) has since been sent down to the minors, so it appears Thornton and Jacob Webb are sharing closer duties for the time being.

Clase went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run, two walks and a second run scored in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Padres.

Clase has two homers among his four hits over five games since joining the Blue Jays' big-league roster at the start of July, and he's added five RBI. Clase looks to be getting a chance at a starting role in left field -- he's started four straight games there, pushing Myles Straw into more of a reserve role. Clase is a switch hitter, so as long as his bat is hot, he should be able to avoid getting platooned, at least until Jesus Sanchez (ankle) is healthy again.

Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Padres.

Guerrero has now homered twice over his last three contests following a 17-game power drought. This was also his first multi-hit effort since June 26 versus the Rangers. The first baseman is enduring a down year, batting .265 with a .709 OPS, six homers, 41 RBI, 51 runs scored and 14 doubles over 90 contests, though he's also at seven steals, one shy of matching his career high from 2022.

Yesavage allowed four runs on one hit and seven walks while striking out one over 1.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Saturday.

Yesavage threw just 20 of 59 pitches for strikes. While he did plenty of damage over the first two innings, the Blue Jays were able to initially keep pace with the Padres to spare the right-hander from taking a loss. Even before Saturday's performance, Yesavage had allowed 19 runs (18 earned) over his previous six starts spanning 36.1 innings, and his 29:15 K:BB in that span shows some warning signs. Overall this year, the 22-year-old is at a 3.72 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 69:39 K:BB through 75 innings over 14 starts this season.
