Pirates' Thomas Harrington: Back in Indy
The Pirates optioned Harrington to Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday.
Just a day after joining the active roster, Harrington will now be sent back to the minor leagues without making an appearance for the big club. The 24-year-old has amassed a 6.38 ERA and 1.60 WHIP through 55 innings at Triple-A this season and will likely spend the remainder of the year working as organizational depth.

Jacob Gonzalez SS | PIT
Pirates' Jacob Gonzalez: Added to active roster
The Pirates activated Gonzalez to the major-league roster Saturday.
Gonzalez had been at Triple-A when the White Sox traded him to Pittsburgh on Friday, but he'll officially return to the majors to begin his tenure with the Pirates. He won't be in the lineup for the final game of Saturday's doubleheader, though Injuries to Spencer Horwitz (hamstring) and Konnor Griffin (finger) could open up opportunities for Gonzalez to get starting reps with Pittsburgh.
-
Justin Crawford CF | PHI
Phillies' Justin Crawford: Sitting again Saturday
Crawford (knee) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Tigers.
Crawford will miss a second consecutive start after being scratched from the lineup ahead of Friday's game due to left knee soreness. Derek Hill will pick up another start in center field as a result and bat ninth.
-
Vinnie Pasquantino 1B | KC
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Back in action Saturday
Pasquantino (hand) will start at first base and bat fifth Saturday against the Orioles.
Pasquantino was activated from the injured list Friday after spending nearly a month on the shelf with a hamate fracture, but Saturday will mark his return to the starting nine. The 28-year-old was slashing .298/.365/.426 across his last 12 games before getting injured, and he went 4-for-11 with three walks, an RBI and a run during his three-game rehab assignment at Triple-A Omaha.

Tyler Stephenson C | CIN
Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Sitting down Saturday
Stephenson isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs.
Stephenson has amassed six hits across his last four games, but the Reds will keep him in the dugout for the start of Saturday's contest. Jose Trevino will replace him behind the plate and bat seventh.

Bo Bichette 3B | NYM
Mets' Bo Bichette: Dealing with sore legs, ankle
Mets interim manager Andy Green said Saturday that Bichette is dealing with soreness in his legs and his right ankle, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Bichette's soreness helps to explain why he has been left out of the starting lineup since the Mets began their series against Boston. Green noted that Bichette is available off the bench, but the 28-year-old infielder may also sit out Sunday's game to give him more time to fully "reset" ahead of the second half. If that ends up being the case, Zack Short would be likely to pick up another start in the infield.
-
Jacob Young CF | WAS
Nationals' Jacob Young: Absent from lineup
Young isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.
Young went 1-for-4 with a stolen base during Friday's loss and will now retreat to the dugout to begin Saturday's events. Daylen Lile, Dylan Crews and James Wood will start across the outfield with Young on the bench.
-
Keibert Ruiz C | WAS
Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Getting breather Saturday
Ruiz isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.
Ruiz will get a chance to rest his legs after slugging a home run during Friday's series opener. Drew Millas will replace him behind the dish Saturday and bat eighth.

Romy Gonzalez DH | BOS
Red Sox's Romy Gonzalez: On bench Saturday
Gonzalez isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.
Gonzalez went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts Friday to snap what had been a seven-game hitting streak, and he'll now move to the bench Saturday. His absence will give Andruw Monasterio a start at first base.
