Seigler was diagnosed with a right trapezius contusion following his removal from Wednesday's game against the White Sox, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Seigler initially seemed to have suffered a head injury after sliding into Kyle Teel's knee guard during a play at the plate in the third inning, though it appears his upper back took most of the damage. Seigler can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Contreras was removed from Wednesday's game against the White Sox with a left foot contusion, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Contreras fouled a ball off his foot during his at-bat in the top of the third inning, and although he managed to finish the plate appearance, he later took himself out of the game in the bottom of the frame. The initial diagnosis suggests he avoided a fracture, though the Red Sox could hold him out for a game or two so he can recover. Romy Gonzalez entered Wednesday's game as Contreras' replacement and would be the favorite to start at first base if an absence is needed.

Caissie was removed from Wednesday's game against Seattle due to right calf tightness, Craig Mish of FanDuel Sports Network Florida reports.

Caissie was taken out of the game in the second inning before recording an at-bat. The severity of his injury remains unknown, though the team could provide some clarity in the near future. In the meantime, Griffin Conine will take over as Miami's right fielder.

Dingler was removed from Wednesday's game against the Athletics due to an apparent right thumb injury, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Dingler took a foul tip off his right thumb in the first inning. He's gone back to the clubhouse to undergo more tests on his injury, and the Tigers should have an update on Dingler during or shortly after Wednesday's game. Jake Rogers will take over at catcher for the rest of the contest in Dingler's absence.

The Padres selected Rengifo's contract from Triple-A El Paso on Wednesday.

With Samad Taylor (oblique) moving to the injured list Wednesday, the Padres will turn to Rengifo to bolster the club's infield depth. The 29-year-old was released by Milwaukee in June after slashing just .205/.280/.254 across 209 plate appearances, but he's gone 8-for-25 with two home runs, seven RBI and five runs scored in six games with El Paso since signing a minor-league deal with San Diego.

Kurtz was removed in the second inning of Wednesday's game against the Tigers due to illness, per Martin Gallegos of MLB.com.

Per Gallegos, Kurtz appeared to jam his hand while attempting to field a throw in the first inning. However, the Athletics have announced that the first baseman's removal was due to an illness, which is an ongoing issue in the team's clubhouse, per Jason Burke of Roundtable.io. Jeff McNeil took over for Kurtz at first base.

The Padres placed Taylor on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a right oblique strain.

Taylor was taken out of Tuesday's game early after tweaking his oblique, and although he said before Wednesday's contest that he was day-to-day, per Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune, the Padres will ultimately place him on the IL and keep him out through the All-Star break. Luis Rengifo was selected from Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move to replenish the Padres' bench depth.

Machado (foot) isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Arizona.

Machado was in a considerable amount of pain after fouling a ball off his foot Tuesday, so he'll get a rare day off Wednesday to recover. Sung-Mun Song will start at the hot corner with Machado on the bench, and Miguel Andujar will work as San Diego's designated hitter.

France isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

France will miss a second consecutive start Wednesday after going just 1-for-16 with five strikeouts across his last four games. Gavin Sheets will start at first base while France sits, opening up left field for Jase Bowen.
