The Twins recalled Roden from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.

Roden missed time earlier this season with a shoulder injury but has been excellent when healthy, slashing .272/.397/.512 with eight home runs and a 24:25 BB:K over 33 games with St. Paul. The 26-year-old can handle all three outfield spots and could get some looks in center field while Byron Buxton (hip) is sidelined.

Arias underwent surgery June 5 to address a dislocated and fractured left ankle, SI.com reports.

The Guardians haven't provided a timeline for Arias' return, but given the nature of his injury, it wouldn't be surprising if he missed most, if not all, of what's left of the season. The 19-year-old outfielder produced a .291/.397/.462 slash line with five home runs and 21 stolen bases across 190 plate appearances in 43 games with Single-A Hill City before landing on the injured list May 30.

The Twins placed Buxton (hip) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.

Buxton has been in and out of the lineup over the past week with a right hip issue, and he aggravated the injury during Sunday's game against the Yankees. He will be eligible to return at the beginning of the second half, but it's unclear whether Buxton will be ready to go at that time. Ryan Kreidler will likely see the lion's share of starts in center field for Minnesota while Buxton is shelved.

The Mets reinstated Polanco (Achilles/ankle/wrist) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

The 33-year-old is ready to rejoin the Mets after an absence of nearly three months due to Achilles, ankle and wrist injuries. The switch-hitting Polanco is expected to work exclusively as a designated hitter early on after the lengthy IL stint. He played in just 14 games prior to landing on the shelf and batted .179 (10-for-56) with one home run and three doubles.

The Pirates recalled Brannigan from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.

Brannigan was called up for one day earlier this season but did not appear in a game. The 25-year-old is taking the roster spot of the injured Konnor Griffin (finger) and could see some starts at shortstop while Griffin is out, but the majority of those reps are likely to go to Jared Triolo.

Rodriguez (hip) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus Atlanta.

The 26-year-old departed Sunday's win against the Nationals due to the hip issue and will miss at least one start. Henry Davis is working behind the plate Tuesday while Rodriguez recovers.

Ingle is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins.

Ingle is off to a rough 2-for-21 start with 12 strikeouts in his first seven big-league contests, so he'll get a day to regroup. Steven Kwan is in left field and Rhys Hoskins is in the designated hitter slot for the Guardians.

Wesneski (elbow) struck out three and allowed one earned run on two hits and one walk across four innings Sunday in a rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi. He also hit a batter and threw two wild pitches.

After tossing three shutout innings in his first rehab start in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on June 30, Wesneski jumped up a few rungs on the minor-league ladder for his second outing. Wesneski -- who is on the comeback trail after undergoing Tommy John surgery last May -- built up to 46 pitches (29 strikes) in Sunday's appearance, generating seven whiffs along the way. The right-hander will likely need to make two or three more rehab starts before coming off the 60-day injured list, but he may not have a rotation spot with the big club waiting for him once he's activated.

Jung (knee) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels.

The third baseman didn't start Sunday versus the Tigers after fouling a pitch off his knee Saturday, and he'll remain on the bench after Monday's team off day. Ezequiel Duran will shift to the hot corner in place of Jung while Josh Smith and Nicky Lopez start at second base and shortstop, respectively.

Triple-A Sugar Land placed Alexander on its 7-day injured list June 17 due to an unspecified injury.

After the Astros optioned Alexander to Triple-A on May 27, the right-hander made two starts before landing on the shelf. He'll likely remain out through the All-Star break, though an official timeline for his return to the Sugar Land rotation has yet to be established. Alexander owns a 5.32 ERA and 1.61 WHIP across 44 innings at Triple-A this season.
