Rutschman went 2-for-2 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Saturday's Grapefruit League game against Atlanta.

It was the first big fly of spring training for Rutschman, who's now gone 4-for-15 (.267) with a double and two walks over his first 15 at-bats of the spring. The switch-hitting backstop was a big disappointment in 2025, as evidenced by a career-worst .673 OPS across 365 regular-season plate appearances, but Rutschman is all set to reprise his role as Baltimore's top catcher in 2026. Although top prospect Samuel Basallo (abdomen) does present some competition for action behind the dish, he's more likely to serve as the Orioles' primary designated hitter.

De Vries was removed from Saturday's Cactus League game against the Giants due to stomach issues and possible dehydration, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

De Vries grounded out to second base in his lone plate appearance before being pulled, but he isn't expected to miss much time going forward. De Vries received an invitation to spring training from the Athletics after being acquired from the Padres in late July in a trade that centered around Mason Miller being sent to San Diego. De Vries was promoted to Double-A in mid-August and appeared in 21 games for Midland, where he posted a .910 OPS with two steals, five home runs and 16 RBI across 103 plate appearances.

Garcia was taken out of Saturday's Cactus League game against the Angels due to an illness, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Garcia had diminished velocity and poor command over his pitches Saturday, but his performance turned out to be a symptom of illness rather than a physical injury. He'll take the time he needs to recover and should be back pitching in the Cactus League relatively soon.

Garcia struggled with his command during his appearance Saturday, as he hit two batters and walked another before getting a visit from the training staff and exiting the game. It's unclear what exactly is bothering the 25-year-old lefty, but the team will take a closer look at him and likely offer an update after the game.

Hiura was removed from Saturday's Cactus League game against the Cubs after getting hit on the hand by a pitch, Jack Vita of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Hiura was pulled immediately after taking a 97-mph sinker off his hand in the fifth inning. The severity of his injury is unknown, but the Dodgers should provide more information in the near future and will likely give him at least a day or two off to recover.

Manager Aaron Boone said Saturday that Bellinger's back "went out on him a little bit," Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.

Boone added that Bellinger is expected to sit out the Yankees' next few Grapefruit League games before returning Tuesday, so it doesn't sound like an issue that will impact his Opening Day status. The 30-year-old outfielder is 4-for-9 with an RBI and a run scored through his first three exhibition matches.

Marte signed a one-year contract with the Royals on Saturday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Marte is coming off his most efficient season in three years, as he finished 2025 with a .270/.335/.410 slash line to go with nine homers, 34 RBI, 37 runs scored and seven steals in 329 plate appearances. That being said, the 37-year-old outfielder hasn't appeared in more than 100 games since 2022, and he likely isn't slated for a full-time role in Kansas City either. Instead, he'll presumably work in tandem with Jac Caglianone in right field and Carter Jensen at DH, filling in for one of the two against left-handed starters.

Arquette underwent core muscle surgery Friday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Arquette paused his offseason workouts after suffering a left groin injury. His discomfort returned after he restarted his activities during spring camp, so he went under the knife to address the issue. He'll require 4-to-6 weeks of rest before resuming baseball activities.

Crawford (shoulder) will take live at-bats Saturday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Crawford's shoulder has never been considered a threat to his Opening Day availability, as the Mariners previously said they're simply taking a cautious approach with ramping up the veteran infielder. He's expected to make his first Cactus League appearance of the spring Tuesday as a DH and begin playing in the field the following week.

Sproat allowed one earned run over 1.1 innings in Friday's spring game against the White Sox. He gave up three hits, struck out three batters and walked one.

Sproat made his first start since being acquired from the Mets and tossed 35 pitches while hitting 99.8 mph with his fastball, per Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Sproat is in the mix for a spot at the back end of Milwaukee's rotation, though it may be a bit until roles are sorted out.
