Ragans underwent UCL repair surgery on his left elbow Wednesday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

It was unknown what type of procedure Ragans would need when the Royals announced last weekend that he was scheduled for surgery. Now confirmed to have undergone UCL repair surgery, the 28-year-old southpaw will officially miss the remainder of the season and is likely to remain out until at least midway through the 2027 campaign. He'll close the book on 2026 after putting up a 4.84 ERA and 1.42 WHIP alongside a 45:23 K:BB through 35.1 innings over eight starts.

Perez is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays due to a sore left elbow, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

The severity of Perez's elbow injury isn't fully known, though the Royals were concerned enough to keep him on the bench Thursday and call up Luke Maile from Triple-A Omaha to provide an extra option at catcher behind Carter Jensen. Perez will exit the lineup for the first time since June 11, ending a stretch of 18 consecutive starts during which he slashed an ugly .216/.227/.311 with one home run, four RBI and seven runs.

The Dodgers optioned Barnes to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

After giving up seven earned runs in seven bulk-relief innings Wednesday, Barnes will be sent back to Triple-A to make room for a fresh arm in the form of Paul Gervase. The 30-year-old Barnes has now given up 10 runs over 12 innings in the majors this season, but he remains an option to rejoin the big club later in the year to provide length out of the bullpen.

The Rangers signed Voth to a minor-league contract Thursday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Voth elected free agency after being designated for assignment by the Twins on June 24. The right-hander has only appeared in three games at the major-league level between the Twins and Blue Jays in 2026. He has made 11 starts in the minors this season. He has yet to go past five innings pitched in his minor-league starts and has appeared only as a reliever in the majors this year.

The Dodgers recalled Gervase from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Gervase has turned in a 3.60 ERA and 1.44 WHIP through 25 innings with Oklahoma City and hasn't given up a run in nine innings across his last seven outings. He'll now return to Los Angeles to give the Dodgers a fresh arm capable of handling multiple innings out of the bullpen, replacing Charlie Barnes.

The Rangers signed Espinal to a minor-league contract Thursday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The Dodgers designated Espinal for assignment June 16 after they got Tommy Edman back from an ankle injury. Espinal slashed .375/.385/.542 with a home run and five RBI across 16 games in his final month of play for the Dodgers (May 13 to June 13).

The Rangers optioned Santos to Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday.

Santos will head down to Triple-A after making his MLB debut Wednesday, when he gave up two earned runs on two hits and a walk while striking out one batter across two innings. His move to Triple-A will work as somewhat of a promotion, as he spent most of the first half at Double-A Frisco, posting a 7.44 ERA and 1.78 WHIP over 42.1 frames. Ben Peoples was selected to the active roster in a corresponding move.

The Rangers selected Peoples' contract from Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday.

The Rangers acquired Peoples on Tuesday in a trade with the White Sox, and he'll now get an opportunity to make his MLB debut with Texas after posting a 2.39 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 37.2 innings at Triple-A. Winston Santos was optioned to Round Rock in a corresponding move.

Misiorowski (9-4) took the loss Thursday against the Reds, allowing five runs (one earned) on five hits across five innings. He struck out 10.

While Misiorowski logged double-digit strikeouts for the seventh time this year, he gave up a season-high five runs (albeit just one was earned) in an eventual 7-2 defeat. Misiorowski surrendered a solo homer to Sal Stewart in the first inning before the Reds tacked on four unearned runs in the fourth, capped by a Jose Trevino three-run shot. Misiorowski still leads all qualified pitchers in ERA (1.47), WHIP (0.78) and strikeouts (156) through 17 starts (104 innings) this season. He'll look to get back in the win column his next time out, currently scheduled to come on the road in St. Louis.

Burns (10-1) earned the win Thursday over the Brewers, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out four.

After giving up a season-high five runs in his last outing, Burns rebounded with a strong effort Thursday to grab his 10th win. Burns has now held opponents to two runs or fewer in 15 of his 17 starts this season. His ERA sits at 2.40 with a 1.08 WHIP and 116:31 K:BB across 97.2 innings. Burns is currently slated for a home matchup with the Phillies his next time out.
