The Brewers transferred Priester (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Saturday.

Priester has been on the shelf all season while recovering from symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome, so his move to the 60-day IL was merely procedural. The right-hander remains in the midst of a rehab assignment, but he's shown little sign of regaining the form that made him a vital part of the Milwaukee rotation in 2025. After struggling to a 21.60 ERA and 3.60 WHIP over 10 innings in six rehab starts between High-A Wisconsin and Triple-A Nashville from April 22 through May 27, Priester recently had his assignment transferred to the Arizona Complex League. He was once again lacking in command in his second appearance in the ACL on Monday, spotting just 35 of his 73 pitches for strikes over 2.2 innings while generating four punchouts and yielding three earned runs on one hit and five walks. He also hit a batter and threw three wild pitches.

Montgomery is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta.

Montgomery started the previous four games and went 3-for-11 with a double, a homer and three walks over the past three contests, but he'll take a seat for Tuesday's series opener. Luisangel Acuna is picking up a start at shortstop while prospect Braden Montgomery makes his MLB debut in the outfield for Chicago.

High-A Vancouver sent Casey (broken hamate) to the Florida Complex League on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment, Geoff Pontes of Baseball America reports.

He played in just one game at High-A before suffering the injury at the beginning of this season. Casey, who slashed .281/.439/.531 with three home runs and four steals in 23 games as a 22-year-old at Single-A last year, should return sometime in the coming weeks.

Crawford (hand) is still waiting for the results of a CT scan he underwent Tuesday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Crawford was hit on the right hand by a pitch last Friday and placed on the 10-day injured list Monday. The injury designation provided Monday was a contusion, but that could change depending on the results of the CT scan. The swelling in Crawford's hand has subsided, but he is still unable to grip a bat. The Mariners could have an update on the shortstop's status later Tuesday.

Bucknam will miss all of 2026 and some of 2027 recovering from elbow surgery, Geoff Pontes of Baseball America reports.

The Jays' fourth-round selection in last year's draft, Bucknam will have to wait until at least next summer to make his pro debut.

The Cardinals activated Church (shoulder) from the injured list Tuesday, Jim Hayes of FanDuel Sports Network Midwest reports.

After landing on the IL on May 22, Church will return to St. Louis having missed over two weeks of action. Before hitting the injured list, the 25-year-old slashed .247/.282/.390 with five homers and 18 RBI. St. Louis optioned Victor Scott in order to make room for Church, who will play center field and bat ninth for the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Pierce is on the 7-day injured list at Single-A Charleston due to an undisclosed injury.

He missed time earlier this season with a calf strain, per Ian Cundall of Baseball America, so it could be an aggravation of that injury. Pierce, the No. 14 overall pick in last year's draft, is hitting .252 with four home runs, six steals and a 28.6 percent strikeout rate in 34 games at Single-A.

The Red Sox reinstated Whitlock (knee) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

The right-hander has been dealing with knee inflammation for the past couple weeks but is ready to rejoin the big-league roster after a short stay on the shelf. Whitlock has been filling a high-leverage relief role for Boston this season and should reclaim that role now that he's healthy. He's posted a 3.20 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB across 19.2 innings with a 3-1 record and 10 holds in 20 appearances.

The Red Sox optioned Seigler to Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday, reports Ian Browne of MLB.com.

Seigler's stint with the big-league club will be short-lived after he was called up June 3. The 26-year-old recorded just four plate appearances in two games for the Red Sox. Boston will activate Garrett Whitlock (knee) from the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move.

Griffin (elbow) is scheduled to resume throwing Wednesday, Jason Mackey of MLB.com reports.

Griffin will do some light throwing Wednesday as he begins a throwing progression. The rookie is coming back from a flexor strain in his right elbow, and the Pirates have refrained from offering a timeline for Griffin's return to the active roster. It's not clear whether the team is considering bringing Griffin back sooner to serve only as a designated hitter initially.
