Jansen (pelvis) will make a rehab appearance for Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Jansen landed on the 15-day injured list May 28 due to right pelvic inflammation. He's progressed enough in his recovery to embark on a rehab assignment, and if all goes well during his appearance Tuesday, he could be reinstated from the IL as soon as Friday. Prior to being deactivated, Jansen posted a 4.80 ERA and 1.20 WHIP while notching seven saves in 11 attempts across 15 innings.

Colorado optioned Shook to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.

Shook joined the Rockies on June 1 and appeared in three games, allowing two runs while posting a 3:0 K:BB over 3.2 innings. He's headed back to the minors in favor of lefty reliever Sammy Peralta, who was called up from Albuquerque to take Shook's bullpen spot.

The Rockies recalled Peralta from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.

Peralta had one appearance with Colorado earlier this season, allowing two runs over two-thirds of an inning against Texas on May 19. He'll now get another chance to show the team what he can do. Righty reliever TJ Shook was optioned to Albuquerque in a corresponding move.

The Diamondbacks optioned Abner to Triple-A Reno on Sunday.

Abner was called up to the big club Thursday after Taylor Clarke landed on the family medical emergency list. In his lone appearances with the Diamondbacks, Abner gave up five runs over 1.1 innings against Washington on Friday. Clarke was reinstated Sunday, so Abner will move back to Reno to open up a spot on the 26-man active roster.

Arizona reinstated Clarke from the family medical emergency list Sunday.

Clarke missed three days while tending to a personal matter. He's now back in the Diamondbacks' bullpen, and lefty reliever Philip Abner was optioned to Triple-A Reno in a corresponding move.

Devenski (illness) was transferred from the 15-day IL to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Devenski landed on the injured list May 7 due to an unspecified illness. He resumed baseball activities in late May and was subsequently said to be nearing mound work, but it appears he needs substantially more time before returning to game action. Devenski is not eligible to be activated until early July, and his 40-man roster spot was taken Sunday by infielder Davis Wendzel.

Perez is not in Sunday's lineup against the Twins due to a right thumb injury, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Perez sustained the injury on a wild pitch that hit him in the thumb Friday. He'll end up sitting for the last two games of the series against Minnesota, but with an offday Monday, the veteran backstop could be back in action for Tuesday's series opener against Texas. Carter Jensen will start at catcher Sunday.

Cruz isn't in Pittsburgh's starting lineup for Sunday's matchup against Atlanta.

Cruz has started June in fine form, posting a .591 OBP with a homer, two stolen bases and seven walks through five games, but he'll get a breather Sunday. Jake Mangum is starting in center field for the Pirates.

Lowe (knee) isn't starting for the Pirates against Atlanta on Sunday.

Lowe fouled a ball off his right knee in the ninth inning Saturday and had to exit the game. He expressed worry about the incident after the game because he fractured his kneecap on a similar at-bat in September of 2023, per Jason Mackey of MLB.com, but a CT scan Saturday revealed that Lowe avoided a serious injury. Still, Lowe is set to miss at least one contest, and he'll have Monday's team off day to get more rest. Nick Gonzales is starting at second base for the Pirates on Sunday, and Marcell Ozuna is the team's DH.

Pittsburgh selected Wendzel's contract from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

Wendzel is a 29-year-old infielder whose lone big-league experience was a 27-game stint with Texas in 2024. He earned his chance with Pittsburgh with a good showing at Indianapolis, slashing .246/.360/.491 with nine homers, 34 RBI and two stolen bases over 211 plate appearances. Wendzel can play all over the infield and will likely fill a utility role while with the major-league team.
