Conforto is not included on the Dodgers' wild-card roster.

Conforto was the team's regular left fielder against right-handed pitching throughout the season, but he finished with a .199/.305/.333 batting line in 138 games and the Dodgers have finally decided to pull the plug on him as a starter. The Dodgers could shift Andy Pages to left field, put Tommy Edman in center field and install Hyeseong Kim and/or Miguel Rojas at second base.

Manaea will be evaluated soon to determine whether he will need surgery to remove loose bodies from his left elbow, Andy Martino of SNY.tv reports.

Manaea was diagnosed with loose bodies in his pitching elbow in June, which set back his rehab from an oblique strain at the time. He made his season debut just before the All-Star break, stayed off the injured list from that point forward and finished the year with the elbow feeling well. However, Manaea posted a 5.64 ERA over 12 starts and three relief appearances, and it's possible the elbow was a factor in his struggles. More should be known about Manaea's status in the coming weeks.

Butler will meet with a doctor to determine whether surgery is required to repair a patellar tendon strain in his right knee, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Butler played through the injury for the last couple weeks of the regular season. If he does need surgery on the knee, it's unclear at this juncture how long his rehab would take. Butler finished the 2025 campaign having slashed .234/.306/.404 with 21 home runs and 22 stolen bases over 152 contests.

Strahm's $7.5 million option for 2026 has vested after he passed a physical, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

The option increased from $4.5 million to $7.5 million after Strahn reached an innings-pitched threshold in 2025, and it became guaranteed after the reliever passed a physical. Strahm held a 2.74 ERA and 70:20 K:BB over 62.1 innings this season and will fill a high-leverage role in the Phillies' bullpen again in 2026.

Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski said Tuesday that Rojas is recovering from a quad injury and will not be on the NLDS roster, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Rojas spent the final two months of the regular season at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, but he was under consideration for an NLDS roster spot as a reserve due to his defensive and baserunning prowess. Dombrowski noted that Rojas could be ready to play in time for the NLCS, should the Phillies advance.

The Nationals released Baker on Monday.

Baker was outrighted off the 40-man roster earlier this month and is now out of the organization altogether. Per Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Baker asked to be released in order to pursue an opportunity elsewhere, and that request was granted. Baker slashed .256/.343/.318 with one homer and 26 steals in 107 games with Triple-A Rochester in 2025.

Smith (hand) will be included on the Dodgers' wild-card roster but available only in a pinch-hitting capacity, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Smith has played just one game since Sept. 3 due to a fracture in his right hand but did some live hitting during Monday's team workout without issue. He apparently has not improved enough to catch, at least not on a full-time basis, and with Shohei Ohtani filling the designated-hitter spot, Smith will be used only as a pinch hitter. That leaves Ben Rorvedt and Dalton Rushing to serve as the Dodgers' catchers during the wild-card round.

Harrington missed the final few weeks of the season for Triple-A Indianapolis due to a right groin injury, Dominic Campbell of SI.com reports.

It's the same injury that caused Harrington to go on the 7-day injured list Aug. 10, as he threw one inning Aug. 28 and aggravated the injury and had to exit the start early before being shut down for the season. Harrington, who was in the mix for a rotation spot during spring training, had poor overall results in the majors (15 earned runs in 8.2 innings) and minors (5.34 ERA at Triple-A) while tallying 104.2 total frames across the two levels. He shouldn't have any restrictions in spring training but will face an uphill battle in camp to make the big-league roster.

Singer is not on the Reds' wild-card roster.

Singer started Sunday's regular-season finale, so he likely would have been available to pitch in the wild-card series only in a limited relief capacity. It's possible -- though not a given -- that he'll crack the rotation if the Reds advance to the NLDS.

Hays (back) is on the Reds' wild-card roster.

Hays hasn't started a game since Sept. 20 due to back spasms, but he made a pinch-hitting appearance during Sunday's regular-season finale in Milwaukee and came out of it well enough to be included on his club's wild-card roster. With lefty Blake Snell starting Game 1 for the Dodgers on Tuesday, there's a good chance the right-handed-hitting Hays will be in the lineup.
