Walls (undisclosed) was removed from Monday's game against the Tigers in the third inning, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Walls missed time last week due to a left hamstring injury, but it's unclear whether his removal from Monday's game is related to that same issue. Oliver Dunn will operate at shortstop in place of Walls for the rest of the contest. The Rays should provide an update on Walls during or shortly after the game.

Ober (elbow) has a mild flexor strain and will be shut down from throwing for 10-to-14 days, reports Dan Hayes of The Athletic.

Ober will not throw for around two weeks after exiting Saturday's start against Pittsburgh with what is now determined as a mild flexor strain. Minnesota is slightly optimistic about the injury due to his UCL still being intact, though he'll still be sidelined for the foreseeable future given the shutdown. Through 12 starts this season, Ober has recorded a 6-3 record with a 4.59 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 46:18 K:BB.

Meckler is out of the lineup for the series opener against Colorado, reports Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com

Meckler will ride the bench for the second consecutive game after starting the previous five games. Jose Siri will once again replace Meckler in left field and bat seventh in the order.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo told reporters Monday that Mena underwent surgery on his right shoulder and will be sidelined for the rest of the season, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.

Mena sustained a teres major strain in his right shoulder in June of 2025, which caused him to miss the rest of that season. He opened 2026 on the 60-day IL and was cleared to resume his throwing program in mid-May. However, it appears Mena suffered another setback in his recovery, and his shoulder injury is severe enough for him to undergo a season-ending procedure. The hope for the Diamondbacks is that the surgery will have the 23-year-old fully healthy for the start of spring training in February.

White Sox manager Will Venable said Monday that Murakami (hamstring) stayed back in Chicago during the team's road trip and was given a platelet-rich plasma injection, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.

Murakami landed on the 10-day injured list Saturday and is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks of action with a Grade 2 right hamstring strain. The hope is that the PRP injection helps aid the healing process, but he will be sidelined several weeks regardless.

The Rangers placed Martin on the 15-day injured list Monday with a right shoulder impingement.

Martin -- who turns 40 on Tuesday -- returned from a biceps injury in late May but wasn't sharp in four outings, allowing four runs with a 0:2 K:BB over four innings. He'll be eligible for activation in mid-June, but it's unclear how long he might be sidelined.

The Rangers transferred Garcia (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

The Rangers made a number of transactions Monday, and moving Garcia to the 60-day IL opened a spot on the 40-man roster for left-hander Robby Ahlstrom, who was called up from Triple-A Round Rock. Since being placed on the 15-day IL in late April due to left rotator cuff inflammation, Garcia has been doing light work in his throwing program since early May. He's not eligible to be reinstated from the IL until late June, but the Rangers will have a better sense of Garcia's recovery timeline once he progresses to throwing bullpen sessions.

The Rangers recalled Curvelo from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.

Curvelo has made four appearances out of the Texas bullpen this season, allowing three runs with a 3:2 K:BB covering five innings. He will be used in a middle relief role.

Rumfield (shoulder) is not in the Rockies' starting lineup against the Angels on Monday.

Rumfield is dealing with right shoulder inflammation, which caused him to be scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Giants. He's not ready to return for Monday's series opener, so Edouard Julien will start at first base and bat seventh against the Halos.

Vientos is not in the Mets' starting lineup against the Mariners on Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Vientos will get a breather after going 3-for-12 with one home run, three RBI and three runs scored during the Mets' three-game weekend series against the Marlins. Jared Young will start at first base while MJ Melendez serves as the designated hitter for Monday's series opener.
