Springs (3-3) allowed four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five over five innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Cardinals.

Springs was blitzed as the Cardinals rallied for four runs in the first inning. The Athletics got three back in the next frame, but they never pulled even, leaving Springs to take the loss even after he settled in to avoid further damage. He's gone five starts without a win, allowing 19 runs over 24.1 innings in that span. For the season, he's at a 4.22 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB through 49 innings over nine starts. The southpaw's next outing is projected to be a favorable home matchup versus the Giants over the weekend.

Wetherholt went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and a second run scored in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Athletics.

Wetherholt homered four times over his last six games in April before his power dried up to start May. He didn't have an extra-base hit over the previous nine contests, and he's batting a meager .200 (8-for-40) with a 4:8 BB:K this month. The infielder is at a .242/.356/.427 slash line with eight homers, 22 RBI, 32 runs scored, five stolen bases and five doubles over the first 41 games of his big-league career. While consistent contact is still lacking at times, Wetherholt has shown a good enough eye at the plate to stay at the top of the Cardinals' lineup all year.

Perez (2-5) took the loss against Minnesota on Tuesday, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out eight batters over six innings.

Perez did well outside of the fifth inning, when he gave up three runs on a walk and two hits (including a Ryan Jeffers homer). However, that was more than enough for Minnesota to pull out the win in a game in which Twins starter Bailey Ober recorded his first career shutout. On a positive note for Perez, he posted his third quality start of the campaign and tied a season high with eight punchouts while showing improvement over the five-run dud he labored through his last time out. Perez is in line to make his next start at Tampa Bay this weekend.

O'Brien walked one and struck out none in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Athletics.

O'Brien blew a save Sunday versus the Padres, but he bounced back in this outing. The closer has been a little shaky lately, as all three of his blown saves on the year have come in his last nine outings, though he's picked up a save in each of his other six appearances in that span. O'Brien has maintained a 2.70 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 23:2 K:BB while converting 12 of 15 save chances through 20 innings this season, closing out half of the Cardinals' 24 wins. If he can limit mistakes, O'Brien should continue to see plenty of closing opportunities.

Pallante (4-3) allowed three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings to earn the win over the Athletics on Tuesday.

Pallante has alternated wins and losses over his last six outings. He was able to get by with less than his best work Tuesday, as he threw 51 of 85 pitches for strikes before turning things over to the bullpen. This was the first time since April 6 that he didn't allow a home run. Pallante is at a 4.46 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 33:19 K:BB through 42.1 innings over eight starts this season. He is projected for a home start versus the Royals his next time out.

Ober (4-2) earned the win over Miami on Tuesday, allowing two hits and striking out seven batters without issuing a walk over nine scoreless innings.

Ober was in complete control throughout Tuesday's outing, limiting the Marlins to just two baserunners on a pair of singles. He retired the final 16 batters he faced and needed only 89 pitches to complete his first career shutout. It was also just the third complete game of Ober's six-year MLB tenure. After struggling to a career-worst 5.10 ERA and 1.30 WHIP over 27 starts last season, the right-hander has pitched much better so far in 2026. He has a 3.46 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 39:15 K:BB across 52 innings spanning nine starts.

Andujar went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and two total RBI in a loss to the Brewers on Tuesday.

Andujar collected both of the Padres' extra-base hits -- a solo homer in the sixth inning and a run-scoring double in the eighth. The performance was a needed turnaround for Andujar, who had gone 1-for-15 over his previous four contests. He's been working as San Diego's primary DH, starting 10 of the team's past 11 games at that position.

Ortiz went 2-for-3 with a home run and an additional RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 victory versus the Padres.

Ortiz opened the scoring in the contest with a solo homer in the third inning. The infielder added an RBI on a sacrifice fly in the fourth. Ortiz badly needed this positive performance, as he entered Tuesday with no long balls and a .181 batting average through 94 plate appearances on the season. He's seen his playing time fluctuate but has started four of the Brewers' past five contests.

Springer went 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Rays.

Springer has his average back over the Mendoza Line with the multi-hit night, his second in his last three contests and just his third since returning from the injured list April 29. Springer is slashing just .209/.287/.330 with two home runs, eight RBI, seven runs scored, one stolen base and a 9:20 BB:K across 102 plate appearances this season. After a career-best season in 2025, Springer was always a regression candidate at 36 years old, but his .128 ISO entering Tuesday was easily the lowest of his career. His BABIP is more than 100 points lower than last season.

Meidroth went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Royals.

Meidroth delivered the biggest swing of the night in the fifth inning, taking Stephen Kolek deep for a three-run homer that capped Chicago's five-run frame and gave the White Sox a lead. The blast was his third homer of the season as the infielder continues a strong stretch at the plate. Since the start of May, Meidroth is batting 13-for-39 (.333) with seven runs scored and a 10-game hitting streak. He's now slashing .277/.345/.399 with three homers, nine doubles, eight RBI and 26 runs scored across 167 plate appearances.
