Waldschmidt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Jody Jackson of DBacks.tv reports.

Jorge Barrosa will cover center field in place of Waldschmidt, who had started the last 12 games while slashing .211/.318/.289. Though he's held a near-everyday role in center field since being recalled from Triple-A Reno on July 9, he could soon be pushed to a corner spot with Jordan Lawlar (hamstring) in the midst of a rehab assignment and trending toward a return from the 60-day injured list during the upcoming week.

Myers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Myers will ride the pine for Sunday's series finale after starting in each of the Reds' previous three contests. TJ Friedl will man center field and bat eighth for Cincinnati.

Kwan went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Padres.

With runners at the corners in the seventh inning, the Guardians ran a double-steal with Chase DeLauter taking off for second base and Kwan scoring on the throw. Kwan has hit safely in 13 of the last 14 games, posting a .411/.493/.500 slash line and scoring 12 runs. He's experienced a remarkable turnaround in 2026. After being dropped to ninth in the order and holding a .206 batting average on June 22, Kwan has slashed .368/.449/.461 in 43 games since.

Stephenson is absent from Sunday's lineup against the Marlins.

Stephenson, who went 1-for-8 with two strikeouts during the first two games of the series, will sit out Sunday's finale. Jose Trevino will take over behind the plate and bat seventh for the Reds.

The Tigers designated Cruz for assignment Sunday.

After appearing in two games for the Tigers in June, Cruz went unused during his latest stint in Detroit after being called up from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday. He'll wind up giving up his spot on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster to outfielder Brett Callahan, whose contract was selected from Toledo. The 28-year-old Cruz will now be subject to the waiver process, but if he goes unclaimed, he'll stick around in the organization and report to Triple-A.

The Tigers selected Callahan's contract from Triple-A Toledo on Sunday. He'll start in left field and bat seventh in the series finale versus the White Sox.

Trei Cruz was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. The 24-year-old Callahan opened the season at Double-A Erie and posted an .879 OPS in 59 games to earn a bump up to Triple-A, where he slashed .271/.351/.338 with one home run and nine steals across 151 plate appearances and saw time at all three outfield spots. He could get a look in a semi-regular role until the banged-up Tigers get healthier.

Mullins is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

The Rays will keep Mullins and fellow left-handed hitters Liam Hicks, Richie Palacios and Victor Mesa (hamstring) on the bench while southpaw Trevor Rogers toes the rubber for the Orioles. Jonny DeLuca will cover center field and bat sixth.

Marte (knee) will start at second base and bat cleanup in Sunday's game in Atlanta, Jody Jackson of DBacks.tv reports.

Marte was lifted early in Friday's 2-0 win due to knee soreness, prompting the Diamondbacks to keep him on the bench for Saturday's 10-3 victory. The 32-year-old's knee appears to have responded well to the day of rest, so he'll settle back into his usual spot in the field and batting order in the series finale. Before his early exit Friday, Marte had been on a heater at the plate, going 7-for-15 with two home runs, one double, two walks, five RBI and four runs over his previous four contests.

Palacios is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Lefty Trevor Rogers is toeing the rubber for the Orioles, so Palacios will give up his spot at second base to Jorge Mateo. Palacios has logged just 41 plate appearances versus lefties all season, slashing .189/.268/.270 with a 26.8 percent strikeout rate in that split.

Holderman was removed from Saturday's 6-1 win over the Padres due to right wrist inflammation, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports. He was credited with a hold while hitting a batter and retiring the other two hitters he faced.

Holderman was removed with two outs in the seventh inning after throwing a wild pitch. He was allowed a few warmup pitches before Guardians manager Stephen Vogt decided to lift him from the game. Vogt classified Holderman's injury as a day-to-day concern following Saturday's contest, but the right-hander will likely be evaluated further before he Guardians decide if he'll require a stint on the injured list. Holderman, who was shut down for six weeks last season due to a similar injury, has been a bright spot in the bullpen in 2026. He holds a 2.39 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 46:17 K:BB over 49 innings and has collected six wins, one save and 10 holds across 49 appearances.
