Pena sustained a fracture in his left fibula during Double-A Biloxi's game against Birmingham on Saturday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Pena suffered the injury on a slide into third base and was carted off the field. The 19-year-old required a splint and the use of crutches to get around, but he's expected to begin his rehab program next week. The fracture continues a tough run of injury luck for Pena, who missed a month earlier this season after collapsing in the dugout due to overheating. He was promoted to Biloxi in mid-August and has a .268/.328/.339 slash line in his first 16 contests at Double-A.

White started in center field and went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Saturday's 5-0 win over Baltimore.

White broke open a scoreless pitchers' duel with a two-out, two-run single in the top of the sixth inning. He was making a third consecutive start in center field in place of Ceddanne Rafaela (quadriceps) and has hit safely in all three. White will draw a fourth consecutive start Sunday.

The Guardians recalled Aleman from Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Aleman has appeared in 18 games at the MLB level this season, posting a 3.38 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 22:8 K:BB over 18.2 innings. He has three holds on his ledger but will likely be used primarily in low-leverage situations. Austin Peterson was sent down to Columbus to make room in the Cleveland bullpen.

Leiter (ankle/biceps) is heading to Arizona to resume his rehab, Shawn McFarland of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Leiter experienced biceps soreness during a recent outing, which prompted to the Rangers to put a halt to the rehab assignment. After being shut down for a few days, the right-hander is headed to the team's spring training facility to resume throwing.

Jung (calf) ran the bases Saturday, Shawn McFarland of the Dallas Morning News reports.

This was another step in the right direction for Jung, who had previously run in straight or curved lines but never on the basepaths. If he responds well Sunday, the next steps are a live batting practice session and then a rehab assignment.

The Reds reinstated Ashcraft (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Sunday.

The right-hander has been sidelined since May due to a UCL sprain in his elbow, but he's ready to rejoin Cincinnati's bullpen after a five-outing rehab assignment. Ashcraft had one save and 10 holds with a 3.33 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 32:16 K:BB across 27 innings prior to the injury, but he could be eased back into a high-leverage role.

Abreu isn't in the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup against Milwaukee, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

With the Brewers sending southpaw Kyle Harrison to the mound, the left-handed hitter will begin the game on the bench despite the fact that he has a better OPS against lefties (.907) than righties (.753) this season. Roman Anthony is handling right field in Abreu's place Sunday, while Andruw Monasterio is getting a turn at DH.

Eovaldi (elbow) threw 40 pitches in a bullpen session Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Evoladi threw two sets of 20 pitches during the session, mimicking an up-and-down. The Rangers will monitor how the right-hander feels Sunday and could have him throw a live batting practice session if he recovers well.

Rafaela (quadriceps) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Unless he makes an appearance off the bench Sunday, Rafaela will wind up missing the entire four-game series in Baltimore due to right quad soreness. Eli White will draw another start in center field in place of Rafaela, whom the Red Sox are viewing as day-to-day while remaining optimistic he'll avoid a stint on the injured list, per MLB.com.

Rodriguez went 2-for-4 in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Brewers.

Rodriguez extended an on-base streak to 13 games with a first-inning single. He's gone 17-for-51 (.333) with four walks, two doubles, five home runs, nine RBI and 10 runs scored during the streak. The left-handed batter was recently moved to the leadoff spot against right-handers and has thrived there in a small sample, slashing .321/.345/.679 in six contests atop the order. As the Reds pivot to focus on 2027, Rodriguez should see ample opportunities to make his case for a roster spot over the final month of the regular season.
