Perez took a no-decision Wednesday against the Padres, allowing no runs on one hit and four walks in four innings. He struck out three.

Making his return from the 15-day injured list with a bruised forearm, Perez fared about as well as Atlanta could have hoped for Wednesday. The 35-year-old southpaw showed some signs of rust with a lack of control -- matching a season high in walks -- but he still turned in his first scoreless start since April 28 against Detroit. Perez will take a 3.38 ERA, his best mark since 2022 with Texas, 1.20 WHIP and a 65:36 K:BB over 85.1 innings into his next scheduled outing in New York against the last-place Mets.

The Yankees returned Jones to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Wednesday's doubleheader against Pittsburgh.

Jones came up from the minors to give New York an extra bat for its twin bill against the Pirates, and he'll now head back to Triple-A after going 0-for-3 with a walk during the matinee. The 25-year-old now owns a .224/.314/.355 slash line through 86 plate appearances in the majors but could still return to the Bronx later in the season if the Yankees' outfield depth is tested further.

Bohm went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 9-5 loss to the Dodgers.

Bohm opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning before driving in a run on a single in the eighth. It was the 29-year-old's fourth multi-hit effort in six games since returning from the All-Star break, a stretch that includes three extra-base hits and six RBI. On the season, he's slashing .225/.283/.374 with 13 homers, 53 RBI, 33 runs scored and a steal across 399 plate appearances.

Rivera (0-1) took the loss Wednesday against the Orioles, allowing four runs on three hits and two walks in two-thirds of an inning. He struck out one.

Rivera couldn't escape a laborious opening frame in the nightcap of Wednesday's twin bill, tossing 41 pitches before his outing mercifully came to an end. Ranger Suarez (groin/illness) is on the cusp of coming off the injured list after being pushed back from starting Wednesday, so Rivera may not be sticking around on the major-league roster much longer. The rookie left-hander has yet to complete four frames in any of his three starts for Boston, recording a 9.45 ERA and 7:6 K:BB across 6.2 innings.

Freeman went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, two runs scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 9-5 win over the Phillies.

Freeman grounded out in the first inning before reaching base in his final four plate appearances. Despite hitting a solid .270 through 17 July games, it was the 36-year-old's first three-hit effort since June 27, and his fourth-inning double was his first extra-base hit in nine games. For the season, he's slashing .289/.373/.480 with 15 homers, 51 RBI, 54 runs scored and four steals across 434 plate appearances.

Marchan was removed from Wednesday's game against the Dodgers due to left knee pain, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Marchan went 0-for-3 before leaving the game in the ninth inning. He's scheduled to undergo imaging during Philadelphia's day off Thursday, and an update on his status is likely to come before the team begins its weekend series against the Yankees.

Bradish (7-9) earned the win Wednesday against the Red Sox, allowing one run on four hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out four.

Staked to an early 4-0 lead, Bradish coasted to victory Wednesday to help snap Boston's 15-game winning streak. The 29-year-old right-hander is enjoying an excellent month of July so far, posting three quality starts en route to a 2.21 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 14:3 K:BB over 20.1 frames this month. Bradish will carry a steady 3.49 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 110:51 K:BB across 113.1 innings into his next scheduled outing in Detroit.

Pages went 1-for-5 with one run scored and two stolen bases in Wednesday's 9-5 win over the Phillies.

Pages posted his first two-steal effort of the campaign, swiping both bags in the eighth inning. The All-Star starter has hit safely in five of six games since returning from the break, though he has also struck out nine times in that span. For the year, he's slashing .268/.333/.459 with 17 homers, 68 RBI, 60 runs scored and 10 steals across 438 plate appearances.

Walls was diagnosed with hyperextended middle and ring fingers on his left hand following Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Walls suffered the injury while sliding into second base in the fifth inning. He was able to play through the injury and finish the contest, but manager Kevin Cash said after the game that Walls will likely sit out Thursday's series finale as a precaution. Ben Williamson will presumably fill in as Tampa Bay's shortstop and could continue to do so if Walls is forced to miss any additional starts.

Rushing got the Dodgers on the board with a solo homer in the third inning before giving them a 3-2 lead with a two-run double in the fifth. It was a much-needed effort for the 25-year-old, who entered the game mired in an 0-for-19 slump dating back to July 7. On the season, he's hitting .247/.338/.474 with 11 home runs, 33 RBI and 32 runs scored across 222 plate appearances.
