Riley went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo homer during Friday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Yankees.

Neither team scored through the first seven innings, but Riley broke that drought with a solo homer in the eighth. It was the 14th home run of the season for Riley, who has reached base safely in six of his last seven games, going 9-for-23 with seven RBI and five extra-base hits in that span.

Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Atlanta's 3-2 loss to the Yankees on Friday.

The veteran first baseman has been heating up at the plate, having smacked five solo home runs over his last seven games while going 10-for-25 in that span. Olson is up to 33 long balls on the year, tied with three other players for second most in the majors behind Yordan Alvarez (35).

Tawa went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers.

Tawa has played well in August, going 9-for-27 (.333) over seven games this month. He's added five RBI and a 1:7 BB:K while seeing the bulk of the playing time at first base, though Tyler Locklear and Ildemaro Vargas are also in the mix for time at the position. Tawa is batting .234 with a .686 OPS, six home runs, three steals, 26 RBI, 21 runs scored and eight doubles across 179 plate appearances this season, so his recent hot streak isn't likely to last the rest of the year.

Arenado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers.

Arenado is up to 17 homers on the year, including three over six games in August. He's added a 3:5 BB:K so far this month. The third baseman is hitting .241 with a .752 OPS, 54 RBI, 54 runs scored, 20 doubles and three stolen bases across 110 contests this season and should continue to see steady playing time.

Iglesias took a blown save in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Yankees, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out two across two-thirds of an inning.

Neither team could score through the first seven innings of Friday's game, but Iglesias was brought in for the ninth to protect a two-run lead after solo home runs from Austin Riley and Matt Olson. Iglesias struck out two of the first three batters he faced, but he proceeded to allow the next three Yankees on base, including an RBI double from Austin Wells and an RBI single by Ben Rice, tying the game at 2-2. It was the third blown save chance of the season for Iglesias in 27 attempts, and he's given up two earned runs in both of his last two outings. He has a 3.02 ERA and 1.20 WHIP over 41.2 innings on the year.

Waldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers.

Waldschmidt was clutch Friday, taking Edwin Diaz deep for a walk-off blast in the ninth inning. Over six games in August, Waldschmidt has gone 7-for-20 (.350) as he makes a case to stay involved in the lineup even when Jordan Lawlar (hamstring) returns from the injured list. Waldschmidt is batting .292 with a .748 OPS, two homers, 15 RBI, 22 runs scored, 13 doubles, one triple and six stolen bases over 51 contests this season. While the numbers are strong, the outfielder is benefiting from a .427 BABIP that has largely cancelled out his 32.0 percent strikeout rate.

Johnston went 0-for-2 with two RBI on Friday against the Cardinals.

Johnston didn't have a great performance, but he did make a pair of productive outs. He grounded out in both the second and fourth innings with a runner on third base, marking his first RBI since July 21. Johnston is hitting just .140 across 14 games since the All-Star break, which has caused him to start losing playing time, as he's appeared in the lineup only 11 times in the team's last 18 contests.

Mahle did not factor into Friday's decision against the Yankees, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out nine across six scoreless innings.

Mahle was acquired by Atlanta from San Francisco on Sunday, and the 31-year-old right-hander was given the nod to start in Friday's series opener. He looked good with his new team, matching a season high in strikeouts while recording his fourth quality start in 19 games this season. Mahle has a 4.83 ERA and 1.36 WHIP over 100.2 innings this year, and his next start is lined up for next week at home against the Mets.

Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Rays.

Rodriguez has gone 10-for-25 (.400) with two homers and two steals during his seven-game hitting streak. His blast Friday prevented the Mariners from getting shut out, but it came with two outs in the ninth inning. The outfielder is hitting .260 with a .752 OPS, 18 homers, 15 steals, 51 RBI, 54 runs scored and 16 doubles across 106 contests and is trending up in August, though the Mariners' meager offense could still make it tough for him to accumulate ample RBI.

Fried did not factor into Friday's decision against Atlanta, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out seven across 6.1 scoreless innings.

Fried got into a bit of hot water in the first inning after allowing three Atlanta batters on base, though he managed to escape the inning unscathed. He allowed just two more baserunners over the rest of his outing, generating 14 whiffs on 90 pitches (57 strikes), though he came away with the no-decision as both teams failed to score until the eighth inning. It was Fried's first quality start since he was activated off the IL in late July, and the 32-year-old southpaw has a 2.88 ERA and 0.97 WHIP over 81.1 innings this season. His next start is lined up for next week at home against the Mariners.
