The Astros optioned King to Triple-A Sugar Land after Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Orioles, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

King will head back down to the Triple-A level for the first time since 2024 after he surrendered a solo home run while striking out a batter over one inning Sunday. The southpaw has now surrendered eight runs over five innings in his last four appearances with Houston, bringing his ERA to 3.40 and his WHIP to 1.31 over 42 appearances on the season. He'll look to iron out his command at Triple-A and could return to the big club in short order.

Altuve went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Orioles.

Altuve doubled and scored in the third inning before adding a solo shot in the eighth. It continued a recent power surge for the 36-year-old, who's gone deep four times in his past nine games while tallying a hit in seven contests during that stretch. On the season, he's slashing .235/.304/.409 with 12 homers, 28 RBI, 47 runs scored and two steals across 330 plate appearances.

Gray (12-1) earned the win Sunday against the Rays, allowing one run on five hits and four walks in six innings. He struck out five.

Despite issuing a season-high four walks, Gray's winning ways rolled on Sunday. The veteran right-hander extended his streak of quality starts to nine, giving up one run or zero on seven occasions during that period. Gray has a career-best 2.48 ERA to go with a 1.12 WHIP, 90:28 K:BB and an American League-high 12 wins over 101.2 innings in 2026. His next appearance is slated to come at home against the division-rival Blue Jays.

McClanahan (8-6) took the loss Sunday against the Red Sox, allowing six runs (four earned) on five hits and three walks in five innings. He struck out three.

Two runs went unearned in the third inning, when Jahmai Jones first scored on a passed ball by Hunter Feduccia, and then Wilyer Abreu came across for another run on a throwing error by Junior Caminero. The three punchouts tied a season low for McClanahan, who also matched a season worst in runs allowed in an outing to forget all around. The southpaw is set to carry a 3.07 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 85:31 K:BB over 91 innings into a favorable home matchup against Cleveland.

Taylor secured the save Sunday against Toronto, allowing two hits and no walks in a scoreless ninth inning.

Taylor continues to stake his claim for more ninth-inning work in Chicago's bullpen. The right-hander has successfully converted three consecutive save opportunities, submitting four scoreless frames during that stretch. Taylor sports a 2.74 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 67:17 K:BB with five saves in eight chances over 49.1 innings, and he figures to continue sharing the closer role with Sean Newcomb based on matchups.

Schlittler (9-6) took the loss in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader, allowing three runs on six hits, no walks and a hit batsman over 4.1 innings against the Dodgers. He struck out eight.

Schlittler generated a game-high 20 whiffs and recorded eight strikeouts, but the Dodgers were able to string together hits and chase the right-hander after 98 pitches (69 strikes) before he could complete five frames. After uncharacteristically issuing four walks in his last start July 11 against the Nationals before the All-Star break, the 25-year-old didn't hand out a free pass Sunday, marking the ninth time he has done so in 2026. Schlittler will take a stellar 2.20 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 145:25 K:BB across 123 innings (21 starts) into his next outing, which is tentatively scheduled for Friday against the Phillies.

Coleman was promoted to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.

Coleman will make the jump to the Triple-A level after posting a 2.88 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 37 strikeouts over 25 innings in 18 appearances with Double-A New Hampshire this season. If the southpaw impresses with Buffalo, there's a strong chance that Coleman will get a shot with the major-league roster this year.

Yamamoto (10-6) earned the win in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader, allowing two runs on four hits and no walks over nine innings against the Yankees. He struck out seven.

Yamamoto was stellar, throwing the first regular-season complete game of his MLB career on 102 pitches (69 strikes). It came at an opportune time with the Dodgers set for a bullpen game in the second half of Sunday's doubleheader. While he entered the All-Star break on a sour note by giving up a season-high six runs July 11 against the Diamondbacks, the right-hander has been remarkably consistent and effective, allowing two or fewer earned runs in 12 of 18 starts this season. Yamamoto will take a 2.78 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 113:25 K:BB across 119.2 innings into his next outing, which is lined up for next weekend against the Mets.

Yesavage (4-5) took the loss Sunday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out nine.

Yesavage overpowered the Chicago bats at times, generating a whopping 21 whiffs on the afternoon, and he hung on for a quality start after the White Sox plated a pair of runs in the sixth inning. The nine punchouts were a season high for the right-hander, who has now logged three quality starts in his past four outings. Yesavage has been wild occasionally, walking at least five in four of his last nine appearances, but he's still maintained a healthy 3.78 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 78:41 K:BB over 81 innings this year.

Burke (7-4) notched the win Sunday against Toronto, allowing no runs on two hits and one walk in 6.2 innings. He struck out five.

Burke was dominant Sunday, scattering two singles across 6.2 shutout innings. The 26-year-old right-hander is on an excellent run on the mound, tossing at least 5.1 frames while yielding two runs or fewer in six consecutive starts and posting a sterling 47:6 K:BB during that span. Burke will take a strong 3.20 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 120:34 K:BB over 112.1 innings into his next scheduled outing against Houston.
