Podziemski ended with 18 points (8-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Thursday's 99-98 loss to the Suns. While most of his teammates struggled with their shot and finished with a negative differential, Podziemski scored efficiently and recorded a team-best net rating of plus-15. He hit some tough, clutch shots down the stretch and did a nice job of pushing the pace, but unfortunately, the end result was another loss for the Warriors.

Podziemski remained out of the starting lineup despite the absence of Stephen Curry (quadriceps), but that didn't stop him from drilling five triples and flirting with a triple-double off the bench. Over his last nine games, Podziemski has averaged 14.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.3 steals in 26.8 minutes per contest.

Podziemski will come off the bench Saturday against the Cavaliers, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports. Podziemski is coming off a dud, posting six points (2-8 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one steal across 20 minutes in a loss to the 76ers on Thursday. The Warriors need a spark and will turn to Pat Spencer and Buddy Hield in the backcourt.

Podziemski moved to the starting lineup due to the absence of Stephen Curry (quadriceps) and posted a decent line, although his shooting numbers left a lot to be desired. Podziemski seems to be finding a new gear on offense and has scored in double digits in six of his last eight contests. He should remain in the starting lineup as long as Curry is out, but with the way he's been scoring, it wouldn't be odd if he ended up moving to the first unit on a permanent basis in the future.

Over his last five starts, the 22-year-old guard has averaged 14.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists across 31.4 minutes per contest.
