• Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Racks up 116 yards Monday

  Barkley rushed 22 times for 95 yards and caught four of five targets for 21 yards in Monday's 22-21 loss to Atlanta. Barkley failed to replicate the three touchdowns he produced in his Eagles debut last week, but the superstar running back still provided fantasy managers with strong results off of 26 combined touches. The 27-year-old is averaging 124 yards from scrimmage through two contests while serving as the Eagles' primary RB. Those hoping for a bounceback season from Barkley in 2024 have to be feeling good about their decision heading into a Week 3 matchup against the Saints.

• Eagles' Saquon Barkley: No snaps in preseason opener

  Barkley didn't end up playing in Friday's preseason win over the Ravens. Reporting earlier in the day suggested that the Eagles would give their offensive starters, including Barkley, one series in the team's preseason opener, but that proved not to be the case. Instead, Kenneth Gainwell got the start in the backfield, while Kendall Milton wound up leading the team in carries and rushing yards and Lew Nichols scored Philly's only rushing touchdown in the third quarter. Barkley could instead see some preseason action Thursday against the Patriots.

• Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Suiting up Friday

  Barkley is in uniform ahead of Friday's preseason game at Baltimore, Bob Brookover of The Newark Star-Ledger reports. With quarterback Jalen Hurts expected to log a possession in the Eagles' exhibition opener, it comes as no surprise that the team's biggest offseason addition within the skill positions also will be available. Once Barkley and the rest of the starters hit the sideline Friday, Kenneth Gainwell, Will Shipley, Lew Nichols, Tyrion Davis-Price and Kendall Milton will handle backfield duties for Philadelphia.

• Giants' Saquon Barkley: Could talk with Eagles, Texans

  The Eagles and Texans are interested in signing Barkley, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports. While numerous other teams presumably have some level of interest, it sounds like Houston and Philadelphia are among the more serious candidates at the start of the free-agent negotiating period Monday afternoon. Barkley is widely viewed as the best RB among a strong group of free agents at the position, though it seems D'Andre Swift (Bears) and Tony Pollard (Titans) are ahead of him when it comes to reaching verbal agreements with suitors. Barkley figures to come out ahead of them financially, of course.

• Giants' Saquon Barkley: Finds end zone twice in Week 18 win

  Barkley carried the ball 18 times for 46 yards and two touchdowns and caught both his targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Eagles. The running back led the charge in the upset win, scoring two-yard and three-yard TDs in the second quarter as the Giants raced out to a 24-0 lead before halftime. Barkley failed to reach 1,000 rushing yards on the season, finishing with 962 yards on 247 carries for a lackluster 3.9 YPC, but he ended the campaign on a high note with five rushing TDs in the last five games. The 26-year-old will be one of the more attractive free-agent options at his position this offseason.
