  • The Bears cut Boykin from the practice squad Saturday. Boykin stuck around in Chicago on the practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He wasn't elevated to the active roster during the first half of the regular season, and now that he's been cut, he'll look to join a team in need of wide receiver depth and a contributor on special teams. Boykin last saw regular-season action in 2023 with the Steelers, when he played all 17 regular-season games and logged three catches (on four targets) for 17 yards while mostly playing on special teams.

  • Miles Boykin: Staying with Chicago
    By RotoWire

Boykin landed on the Bears' practice squad Wednesday. The wide receiver was let go by the team Tuesday despite a strong training camp and preseason. Given his performance in camp, Boykin's signing to the practice squad is perhaps not a surprise, though he faces an uphill battle for a roster spot during the regular season due to Chicago's depth at wide receiver. The 2019 third-round pick of the Ravens spent time on multiple practice squads in 2024 but never appeared in a regular-season game.

The Bears released Boykin on Tuesday. Boykin put together a strong training camp and preseason with Chicago, but he was always facing an uphill battle to earn a spot on the 53-man roster due to the team's depth at wide receiver. He'll be a candidate to end up on the Bears' practice squad.

  • Bears' Miles Boykin: One grab in win
    By RotoWire

Boykin recorded an eight-yard reception in the Bears' 29-27 preseason win over the Chiefs on Friday. Boykin has had a strong camp for the Bears, placing him on the roster bubble as the team looks to set its 53-man roster. Despite his solid play in August, Boykin will likely settle in as the No. 6 receiver if he makes the team.

  • Boykin (ankle) was held out of practice Sunday with an ankle injury, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. Boykin was unable to give it a go at practice Sunday, which places some doubt on his chances to play in the team's preseason opener Aug. 10 versus Miami. The wide receiver signed with the Bears in April after spending the majority of the 2024 campaign with the Seahawks' practice squad, failing to appear in a regular-season game for the first time since 2019.
