As training camp approaches, Rhamondre Stevenson and Henderson remain atop the Patriots' RB depth chart, Avery Hill of the Boston Globe reports. Though Henderson and Stevenson are in line to continue to share the rushing load in 2026, both players should still have fantasy utility while working in an offense helmed by Drake Maye. In his first year as a pro in 2025, Henderson recorded 180 carries for 911 yards and nine TDs to go along with 35 catches for 221 yards and a score in 17 regular-season contests. Meanwhile, Stevenson gained 603 yards and seven TDs on 130 carries, while adding 32 catches for 345 yards and a pair of receiving scores. While the looming time share remains an issue for Henderson's weekly fantasy floor, the 2025 second-round pick's playmaking ability makes him the upside play in New England's backfield.

Henderson rushed the ball six times for 19 yards in Sunday's 29-13 loss to the Seahawks in Super Bowl LX. He added three receptions (on three targets) for 26 yards. Henderson's overall struggles to rush efficiently in the postseason continued in the Super Bowl, though the New England offense was stalled for much of the game. His overall production also was inflated by a 24-yard catch and run during the game's final plays. However, he had a fairly even split with Rhamondre Stevenson in terms of touches, and the former did manage long runs of nine and seven yards. Henderson is likely to begin the 2026 season on the smaller end of a backfield split in New England, though he showcased his ability to produce plenty on limited touches throughout his rookie season thanks to his big-play ability -- something that is likely to continue in his sophomore campaign.

Henderson carried the ball 12 times for 25 yards and caught one of two targets for minus-2 yards in the Patriots' 28-16 win over the Texans in the divisional round. The rookie running back's longest gain went for only six yards, and he once again took a back seat to Rhamondre Stevenson, who led New England with 70 rushing yards. Henderson hasn't made much of an impact so far in the playoffs, putting together just 59 total scrimmage yards through the Patriots' first two games, but he'll get another chance to produce a big play or two next weekend in the AFC Championship Game against the Broncos.

Henderson rushed nine times for 27 yards and caught his only target for nine yards in Sunday's 16-3 wild-card game win over the Chargers. Henderson struggled to find running room, with most of his rushing yards coming on a 15-yard carry on his final touch as the Patriots were running out the clock. He ceded most of the backfield touches to the much more efficient Rhamondre Stevenson, who turned 10 carries and four targets into 128 scrimmage yards. After an underwhelming playoff debut, Henderson will get an opportunity to pick up the pace in the AFC divisional round against either the Texans or Steelers while continuing to share backfield reps with Stevenson. Both of those defenses were stout against the run in the regular season and Henderson hasn't contributed much as a pass catcher recently, with only two targets in his last four games.

Henderson rushed 13 times for 53 yards and two touchdowns and wasn't targeted during the Patriots' 38-10 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. Henderson and Rhamondre Stevenson took turns tearing through the Dolphins' permeable run defense, with each back recording a pair of rushing touchdowns. Henderson's two scores came from five and two yards out, his fourth such tally of his rookie campaign. Henderson heads into his first NFL postseason having amassed 911 rushing yards and nine touchdowns at 5.1 yards per carry alongside a 35-221-1 receiving line across 17 regular-season games. Henderson and Stevenson should continue working in a fairly even timeshare beginning with next weekend's home wild-card matchup against the Chargers.
