• Dolphins' Quinn Ewers: No limitations during OTAs

  Ewers (knee) has been participating fully in 7-on-7 drills during OTAs, Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald reports. Per Kelly, Ewers has been performing well, connecting with tight end Ben Sims and rookie undrafted free-agent wide receiver Donaven McCulley. As the offseason progresses, Ewers will continue to compete with 2025 sixth-rounder Cam Miller and rookie undrafted free agent Mark Gronowski for the Dolphins' backup QB role.

• Dolphins' Quinn Ewers: Hurt in season finale

  Ewers (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Patriots. Ewers got injured in the fourth quarter with the Dolphins trailing by a significant margin. Prior to getting hurt, he completed 16 of 23 passes for 137 yards, one touchdown and one interception while rushing once for nine yards. The rookie seventh-round pick started the final three games of Miami's season, posting a 3:3 TD:INT prior to picking up the injury.

• Dolphins' Quinn Ewers: Another encouraging showing Sunday

  Ewers completed 14 of 22 passes for 172 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and added four rushes for five yards in the Dolphins' 20-17 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by Miami. Ewers operated in what was mostly a game-manager role, but he flashed with a 63-yard touchdown pass to a wide open Theo Wease in the first quarter to answer an early Buccaneers touchdown before adding an 11-yard scoring strike to Greg Dulcich with just under two minutes remaining in the first half. The rookie signal-caller also managed to avoid turnovers altogether, and through his first two career starts, Ewers has completed 65.0 percent of his passes for 485 yards with a 2:2 TD:INT as the Week 18 road regular-season finale against the Patriots approaches.

  Ewers completed 20 of 30 passes for 260 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions and rushed twice for five yards in the Dolphins' 45-21 loss to the Bengals on Sunday. The rookie seventh-round pick held his own -- albeit in a relatively favorable matchup -- in his first NFL start, arguably offering more of a spark at times than deposed starter Tua Tagovailoa. Ewers didn't take any sacks, but both of his second-half interceptions led to Bengals touchdowns. Ewers spread the ball around well while connecting with nine different targets overall, and he's likely to remain the starter for a Week 17 home matchup against the Buccaneers next Sunday.

• Dolphins' Quinn Ewers: Remains emergency No. 3 QB

  Ewers (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday's game against the Steelers but will serve as the Dolphins' emergency third quarterback. Ewers will handle his usual role as Miami's emergency third-string quarterback, meaning he will only be eligible to take the field Monday if both Tua Tagovailoa and Zach Wilson are forced out of the game. The only snaps Ewers has taken during the regular season thus far came Week 7 against the Browns.
