  • Loveland (concussion) said he "feel(s) very good" and is embracing a larger role heading into his second NFL season, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports. Loveland's role expanded significantly down the stretch in his rookie season, as the 2025 first-round pick caught 28 of 48 targets for 378 yards and two touchdowns over Chicago's last four games, two of which came in the playoffs. He suffered a concussion late in the Bears' NFC divisional-round loss to the Rams, but Loveland's comments indicate he has recovered from that injury and is ready to build on his momentum from last season in a Bears offense that traded away wide receiver DJ Moore earlier this offseason. Moore finished second on the team in receiving yards behind Loveland during the 2025 regular season.

  • Loveland suffered a concussion in Sunday night's 20-17 overtime loss to the Rams in the NFC divisional round, Nicholas Moreano of Marquee Sports Network reports. Loveland reeled in an 18-yard pass in the late moments of the fourth quarter, but he took a blow to the head in the process, and he exited the game. After the loss, head coach Ben Johnson confirmed that the tight end suffered a concussion on the hit. Loveland still led the Bears with 56 receiving yards, reeling in four of a team-high 10 targets in the defeat. Following an impressive regular season, the rookie tight end caught 12 of 25 targets for 193 yards over Chicago's two postseason contests.

  • Loveland secured eight of 15 targets for 137 yards in the Bears' 31-27 wild-card win over the Packers on Saturday. He also caught a two-point conversion pass. Loveland comfortably paced the Bears in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night, and the latter pair of totals also qualified as new career highs. The standout rookie tight end's two-point conversion grab was also key, coming after a Olamide Zaccheaus touchdown catch and bringing the Bears to within a field goal with just over four minutes remaining. Loveland had wrapped up the regular season with a 10-catch, 91-yard, one-touchdown Week 18 effort versus the Lions, so he'll head into next weekend's divisional round with plenty of momentum.

  • Loveland brought in 10 of 13 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown in the Bears' 19-16 loss to the Lions on Sunday. Loveland led the Bears pass catchers across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets, seeing plenty of second-half action as Chicago scored 16 fourth-quarter points to make things interesting. Six of those came courtesy of Loveland, who recorded a one-yard scoring grab with just under five and a half minutes remaining in the contest to narrow a 16-8 deficit. Loveland finished his first NFL regular season by eclipsing 90 receiving yards and scoring a touchdown in consecutive games, leaving him with a 58-713-6 line on 82 targets across 16 games and affording him plenty of momentum heading into the wild-card round next weekend.

  • Bears' Colston Loveland: TEs to start
    By Jamey Eisenberg

Loveland just had a career game in Week 17 at San Francisco with six catches for 94 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets, and he scored 21.4 PPR points. He has now scored at least 10.1 PPR points in four of his past six games, and he should stay hot in Week 18 against the Lions. Two tight ends have scored at least 10.8 PPR points against Detroit in the past five games, and Loveland has top-five upside in all leagues in Week 18.
