• Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Could have returned Sunday, per coach

  Coach Mike McDaniel noted after Sunday's 34-10 win over the Jets that Achane (rib) was available to return to return to the contest in an emergency, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. McDaniel acknowledged that Achane was hurting after exiting the game with a rib issue, but it looks like the running back has a chance to avoid missing further game action, given that he did not suffer a fracture, per Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network. That said, we'd expect Achane's name to appear on Miami's injury report ahead of the team's Nov. 15 game against the Steelers. With Achane logging just seven carries Sunday, Jaylen Wright saw added work, carrying 24 times for 107 yards and a TD, while Ollie Gordon mixed in with five carries for 17 yards and a TD.

• Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Sustains rib injury Sunday

  Achane exited Sunday's game against the Jets with a rib injury. Prior to leaving Sunday's contest, Achane carried seven times for 92 yards and a TD and caught his only target for 13 yards. In his absence, Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon are available to handle Miami's backfield duties.

  Achane has at least 20 touches in five straight games. He is completely game script insulated because of his role in the passing game, but we expect the Dolphins to play from ahead in this game. The Jets are top five in missed tackles this year, with 89, and Fantasy points per game allowed to running backs with 23.58. It should surprise no one if Achane is RB1 overall this week.

  We probably aren't getting 55 points like we did from this spot last week with Jahmyr Gibbs, but this is a blowup spot for De'Von Achane. The Dolphins are favorite at home against the Saints and you should expect 20-plus touches for Achane. He has 55 touches in his last two games, both wins. In full PPR he is my number one running back this week.

  Achane rushed 22 times for 174 yards and two touchdowns and brought in all six targets for 51 yards in the Dolphins' 30-13 win over the Bills on Sunday. Achane was a central figure in the Dolphins' jaw-dropping upset victory, spearheading the offense with 59- and 35-yard touchdown runs on his way to a season-high tally on the ground. The versatile third-year back also notched a second straight six-catch effort, and he's recorded at least 67 rushing yards in five consecutive contests after a season-low 16-yard effort versus the Panthers in Week 5. Achane remains a must-start option in all formats heading into the Week 11 matchup against the Commanders in Madrid next Sunday.
