Jordan Love QB | GB
Packers' Jordan Love: Starting Saturday afternoon
Love (shoulder) will start Saturday's preseason game against the Bills, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Love is returning from a shoulder injury but nonetheless is expected to play the entire first half. Coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that the second-year QB might even play into the third quarter.

Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Airs it out Friday
Prescott (shoulder) completed three passes of 25 yards or more during Friday's practice, DallasCowboys.com reports.
He hit Malik Turner on a go route for about 45 yards and also connected with Michael Gallup and Cedrick Wilson over the middle for completions of about 25 yards, giving further proof that his shoulder injury won't be an issue Week 1 against Tampa Bay. He won't play in Sunday's preseason finale, but with Prescott also fully recovered from the ankle injury that cut short his 2020 campaign, the 28-year-old appears poised for a healthy start to 2021.

Nick Mullens QB | JAC
Nick Mullens: Let go following Minshew trade
Mullens was cut by the Eagles on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The Eagles paid a conditional sixth-round pick to acquire Gardner Minshew from the Jaguars on Saturday, all but confirming Mullens' dreadful preseason would leave him on the chopping block. With only a handful of days until the start of the regular season, it's likely Mullens could find a home on another team's practice squad.

Gardner Minshew QB | ARI
Eagles' Gardner Minshew: Traded to Philly
Minshew was traded to the Eagles from the Jaguars for a conditional sixth-round pick Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
It appears as if the quarterback competition orchestrated by coach Urban Meyer paid off as the Jaguars were able to land a sixth-round pick, which could turn into a fifth depending on how much Minshew plays on his new team. It's a curious move on the side of the Eagles considering Joe Flacco was supposedly locked in as the team's top backup, but the move to acquire Minshew might mean the veteran Super Bowl winner could slide down on the depth chart. It's hard to imagine the 2019 sixth-round pick will challenge Jalen Hurts for the starting spot, but Minshew is a cheap asset who has proved to be a relatively quality backup during his handful of starts thus far in his career.

P.J. Walker QB | SEA
Panthers' P.J. Walker: Nondescript third outing
Walker completed five of 10 passes for 83 yards in Friday night's 34-9 preseason win over the Steelers.
Walker played behind starter Sam Darnold and ahead of competitor Will Grier, but he didn't do much to distinguish himself. In contrast, Grier found the end zone with an uncharacteristic 24-yard touchdown run. Following a couple impressive performances from Grier, it remains to be seen whether Walker's incumbent status will be enough for him to hold onto Carolina's second-string job ahead of Week 1's matchup against the Jets.

Will Grier QB | CAR
Panthers' Will Grier: Scores on ground
Grier completed five of seven passes for 47 yards and rushed three times for 22 yards and a touchdown in Friday night's 34-9 preseason win over the Steelers.
Grier played behind Sam Darnold and P.J. Walker, with the latter's 5-for-10 night for 83 passing yards most relevant as Grier competes to serve as the former's backup. Although his passing performance wasn't too different from Walker's, Grier surprised with a rare 24-yard touchdown scamper to begin the fourth quarter. After two straight impactful showings, it'll now be interesting to see whether Grier has done enough to unseat Walker for the No. 2 job ahead of Carolina's season opener against the Jets.

Zach Wilson QB | NO
Jets' Zach Wilson: Doesn't see field Friday
Wilson didn't play in Friday's preseason tie against the Eagles.
The decision to hold out the 2021 second overall pick comes as no surprise after bad weather delayed the start of the game by about half an hour and left poor field conditions behind. Wilson seemingly had little left to prove in exhibition play after a couple dazzling performances already -- per Next Gen Stats, he was a perfect 5-for-5 for 94 yards and a touchdown on throws of 10-plus air yards in preseason action. The 22-year-old will be under center Week 1 when the Jets begin the regular season against Carolina.
-
Jalen Hurts QB | PHI
Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Doesn't play in preseason finale
Hurts didn't see a snap in Friday's preseason tie against the Jets.
Heading into the contest, coach Nick Sirianni hadn't indicated whether his starting QB would see any action, but the decision ended up being made for him as storms delayed the start of the game by half an hour and left the field in somewhat poor condition, giving the Eagles no reason to risk an injury for Hurts. The 23-year-old will begin his first full season as the starter in Week 1 against Atlanta.
-
Jake Browning QB | TB
Vikings' Jake Browning: Struggles again in preseason finale
Browning was just 2-of-8 passing for 41 yards in Friday's preseason loss at Kansas City.
Browning had drawn praise in camp, but he struggled in all three preseason games. The Vikings may look to sign a veteran quarterback to back up Kirk Cousins with 2021 third-round pick Kellen Mond having an uneven preseason.
-
Kellen Mond QB | NO
Vikings' Kellen Mond: Improves in preseason finale
Mond was 16-of-23 passing for 196 yards with an interception and a lost fumble in Friday's preseason loss at Kansas City. He added five carries for 40 yards.
Despite the turnovers, Mond improved in his third exhibition game as he led the Vikings to their only two touchdown drives of the preseason. With Jake Browning struggling in the preseason, Mond could open the regular season as the backup to Kirk Cousins despite an uneven exhibition slate.
