Mahomes completed 27 of 44 passes for 260 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in the Chiefs' 30-24 loss to the Chargers on Sunday. He also rushed four times for 45 yards.

Kansas City has suffered a few Arrowhead Stadium losses during Mahomes' tenure as starting quarterback, and this latest one can be pinned partly on his shoulders. The star quarterback threw a particularly ill-timed interception off his back foot with the game knotted at 24-24 and 1:55 remaining, leading to what eventually would be the Chargers' game-winning touchdown. Mahomes' other pick came in the first quarter off a deflected pass and on an acrobatic snag by rookie Asante Samuel, while his three scores went into the hands of the unlikely trio of Jody Fortson, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Mecole Hardman. Mahomes and the Chiefs now will look to shake off a rare second consecutive loss and even their record in a road battle versus the Eagles in Week 4.

Jackson (illness) is active for Sunday's game in Detroit, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

There was never much doubt after a return to full practice participation Friday, though the Ravens did list Jackson as questionable on their final injury report. He gets one of his better matchups of the season, albeit with standout LT Ronnie Stanley (ankle) inactive for a second straight week. Jackson overcame Stanley's absence as well as a pair of interceptions in the Week 2 win over Kansas City, with his 16 carries for 107 yards and two TDs leading the Ravens to a narrow victory.

Dalton (knee) could miss an additional game or two beyond Week 4, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Dalton has already been ruled out for Week 3, but the Bears haven't put him on injured reserve, with Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reporting Saturday that there's at least some chance for the veteran QB to avoid multiple absences. It now appears that's the less likely outcome, even if IR isn't on the table at the moment. With Dalton recovering from a bone bruise in his left knee, Justin Fields will make his first NFL start Sunday against Cleveland.

Jackson (illness) is expected to play Sunday against the Lions, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Though listed as questionable by the Ravens, the QB practiced fully Friday after sitting out Thursday's session. Official confirmation of Jackson's Week 3 status will arrive prior to the first wave of kickoffs Sunday, with Baltimore facing Detroit at 1:00 ET.

Dalton (knee) -- who has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Cleveland -- is not expected to miss significant additional time and could return as soon as Week 4 against the Lions, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.

Justin Fields took over after Dalton got hurt in Week 2 against the Bengals, but the rookie first-round pick struggled to move the offense. While Fields will have the opportunity to make his first career start against the Browns, his time as the starter will likely be short-lived; Chicago hasn't given any indication that Dalton's spot atop the quarterback depth chart is in jeopardy at this point.

Sinnett was promoted to the active roster Saturday.

Sinnett suddenly enters Sunday's game in a pivotal backup role after Tua Tagovailoa (ribs) was placed on injured reserve. Veteran castoff Jacoby Brissett struggled in his 2021 debut last week, but it's hard to imagine a scenario where Sinnett would play over Brissett unless the latter succumbs to some sort of injury.

Brissett could be in line to start additional games beyond Week 3 after Tua Tagovailoa (ribs) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Brissett looked dreadful in relief of Tagovailoa last week, completing just 60 percent of his 40 passes for a measly 169 yards to go along with a pick. Another game like that might have the Dolphins looking for alternatives at quarterback, although it seems like the team is anticipating the minimum three-week injured reserve stint for the franchise signal caller, which might render the notion a moot point. Provided Brissett is able to play at the level one would anticipate given his status as a veteran, it should be a relatively good matchup against a vulnerable Raiders defense come Sunday.

Tagovailoa (ribs) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

This designation is a bit surprising considering coach Brian Flores suggested earlier this week the second-year quarterback was "day-to-day" after suffering broken ribs in the Week 2 blowout loss to the Bills. In any case, Tagovailoa will miss at least the next three games after landing on injured reserve. Jacoby Brissett is slated to start Sunday's contest against the Raiders, but given the severity of Tagovailoa's injury, it's possible the Dolphins could look to a number of options outside the organization in order to improve the team's depth at quarterback.

Driskel reverted to the Texans' practice squad Friday.

Driskel was elevated from Houston's practice squad to serve as depth at quarterback with Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) sidelined Thursday. Although he didn't appear in Thursday's loss to the Panthers, he'll be an option to rejoin the active roster while Taylor remains on injured reserve.

Jackson (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Detroit despite returning to practice Friday as a full participant.

Jackson is dealing with a non-COVID illness, while a quartet of Baltimore defenders have been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The team also has some injury concern on offense -- LT Ronnie Stanley (ankle) is out and WR Marquise Brown (ankle) is listed as questionable -- but Jackson at least seems on track to play, facing a young Lions defense that's struggled about as much as expected so far. While an absence would be surprising, fantasy managers should still check back Sunday morning before the Ravens' 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
