Jake Fromm QB | DET
Bills' Jake Fromm: Sitting out Week 4
Fromm (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
Fromm has yet to see the field this season and that won't change in Week 4 with him inactive. Matt Barkley will serve as the backup for Josh Allen on Sunday.

Will Grier QB | CAR
Panthers' Will Grier: Will be No. 2 QB against Cardinals
Grier is listed as the Panthers' backup quarterback for Sunday's matchup against Arizona, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.
Grier struggled during his 2019 rookie campaign when given opportunities, throwing to a 53.8 percent completion rate with zero touchdown passes and four interceptions in his two starts. Regardless of early turbulence in his career, Grier has still emerged as Carolina's No. 2 quarterback in three of the team's four games this season, while XFL standout P.J. Walker finds himself inactive for Week 4.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Suits up Sunday
Tagovailoa (illness) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

Brian Hoyer QB | LV
Patriots' Brian Hoyer: In line to start Monday night game
Hoyer and the Patriots are now in line to play the Chiefs on Monday night at 7:05 ET, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network relays the Chiefs' latest round of point of care COVID-19 tests came up clear, paving the way for the NFL to proceed with a Monday night rescheduling of the contest, which was originally slated to take place Sunday afternoon. Per ESPN's Mike Reiss, Hoyer is poised to start at QB for the Patriots on Monday in place of starter Cam Newton, who was placed on the reserve/COVID list Saturday. Additionally, Jarrett Stidham is in line to be made active by the team for the first time this season.

Jordan Love QB | GB
Packers' Jordan Love: Shakes off illness
Love (illness) won't carry an injury designation into Monday's game versus the Falcons.
Love was a full participant in Saturday's practice, so he'll be available Monday if necessary. The rookie first-rounder has been a healthy scratch all season, as Tim Boyle has served as the primary backup for Aaron Rodgers.

Brian Hoyer QB | LV
Patriots' Brian Hoyer: No new positive tests for Patriots
Hoyer and the rest of the Patriots other than Cam Newton, all tested negative for COVID-19 on Saturday night, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
If the game is played this week, it'll be moved to Monday or Tuesday night, and Hoyer will start in place of Newton. That no other Patriot tested positive yet makes it more likely the game is played rather than postponed until later in the season.

Jordan Love QB | GB
Packers' Jordan Love: Returns to practice
Love (illness) returned to practice Saturday, Olivia Reiner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
An illness caused Love to miss practice earlier in the week, but he's seemingly healthy now. While that's certainly good news for him, he's still quite unlikely to play a role Monday against Atlanta, as he's behind both Aaron Rodgers and Tim Boyle on the depth chart.

Jarrett Stidham QB | DEN
Patriots' Jarrett Stidham: Won't start against Chiefs
Stidham won't get the call in place of Cam Newton (illness) if the Patriots' Week 4 game against the Chiefs goes ahead, as Brian Hoyer will get the nod instead, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Positive COVID-19 tests on both teams, including Newton, caused the game to be postponed. The NFL hopes to merely delay the game by a day or two, though that was the initial plan regarding the Titans/Steelers contest as well, which eventually got canceled and will be made up during a later week. In either case, Stidham is still not in line to see starting snaps.

Brian Hoyer QB | LV
Patriots' Brian Hoyer: Expected to start
Hoyer will start Week 4 against the Chiefs if the game is merely postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests rather than canceled, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Cam Newton was among those players whose positive tests caused the game to be postponed. Hoyer is ahead of Jarrett Stidham on the Patriots' depth chart and is expected to get the nod in his place. It remains unclear whether or not the game will indeed go forward during Week 4, however. The league hopes to play the game Monday or Tuesday, but a similar plan was initially proposed for the Titans/Steelers contest, which eventually got canceled and will be made up during a future week.
