Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Practices fully Wednesday

Winston (ankle) practiced in full Wednesday, Carmen Vitali of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

During the Bucs' Week 11 loss to the Saints, Winston sprained his left ankle when New Orleans defensive end Trey Hendrickson landed on his leg at the 5:24 mark of the fourth quarter. On the next play, Winston tossed his third of four interceptions on the day, with Marcus Williams taking the pick back 55 yards to the house. Because his practice reps remained intact Wednesday, Winston's health doesn't appear to be a question. On the other hand, he's thrown multiple picks in four of the last five games and leads the NFL with 18 interceptions, making him a risky play on a weekly basis.

  • Lions' Matthew Stafford: Sidelined at practice Wednesday

Stafford (back) did not practice Wednesday.

Stafford is considered week-to-week due to fractured bones in his back and appears on track to remain sidelined for a third straight contest Week 12. The veteran signal-caller is nursing a six-week injury, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, though he won't necessarily need to sit out for that entire length of time. In any case, Jeff Driskel is expected to continue suiting up under center as long as Stafford is unable to go.

Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Puts in full practice Wednesday

Trubisky (hip) practiced fully Wednesday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.

Trubisky was impacted by a right hip pointer during the Bears' Week 11 road loss to the Rams, which forced coach Matt Nagy to swap him out for Chase Daniel for the final possession of the contest. Afterward, Nagy called Trubisky the team's starting quarterback, if healthy, according to Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune. Prior to Wednesday's session, Nagy told Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times that Trubisky was "day-to-day," but the quarterback's ability to handle every rep seems to have quelled any questions about his status. As long as Trubisky maintains a similar level of activity throughout the week, expect him to be under center Sunday versus the Giants.

    Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Labeled day-to-day

Coach Matt Nagy said Wednesday that Trubisky (hip) is day-to-day, Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Nagy declined to confirm whether Trubisky will participate in Wednesday's practice. The third-year quarterback suffered a right hip pointer late in the second quarter of Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Rams, with the injury ultimately playing a part in Nagy's decision to pull Trubisky from the contest with 3:31 remaining in the fourth quarter. Nagy reiterated that Trubisky will remain the Bears' starting quarterback if healthy, but in the event that the 25-year-old is unable to recover in time for Sunday's tilt against the Giants, veteran Chase Daniel would be the next man up.

Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Doesn't appear injured

Winston (ankle) didn't show any signs of injury at Wednesday's practice, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.

Winston came out of Sunday's 34-17 loss to the Saints with an ankle sprain, but he should be fine for Week 12 at Atlanta. It remains to be seen if the Bucs list him on their first injury report of the week, which will be released later Wednesday.

  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Struggles through the air

Mahomes completed 19 of 32 passes for 182 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Monday night's 24-17 win over the Chargers. He also rushed five times for 59 yards.

Mahomes had a pretty tame performance by his otherworldly standards, with his 63 first-half passing yards marking a career low. He was also picked off prior to halftime, now giving him two interceptions on the season. Fortunately, he responded in the second half with a 23-yard touchdown to Travis Kelce, and his output on the ground actually marked his personal best to date. Although he's clearly over his recent knee injury and now has the bye week to rest further, Mahomes saw top wideout Tyreek Hill exit early Monday with a hamstring issue, so he may be down a dynamic weapon when he looks to bounce back in Week 13 versus the Raiders.

  • Lions' Matthew Stafford: Still considered week-to-week

Coach Matt Patricia said Stafford remains "week-to-week" ahead of Sunday's game against the Redskins, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.

It was previously revealed that Stafford has a six-week injury due to fractured bones in his back, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, although that doesn't mean the veteran signal-caller will sit out for the entire six weeks. Patricia's announcement Monday puts Stafford on track to miss a third straight game Week 12, so Jeff Driskel is expected to start under center against the Redskins.

Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Will start Week 12, if healthy

Coach Matt Nagy said Monday that Trubisky (hip) would "absolutely" remain the Bears' starting quarterback Week 12 versus the Giants if cleared to play, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.

While he was slogging through an unproductive outing in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Rams, Trubisky suffered a right hip pointer late in the second quarter, when he was sacked by Los Angeles' Troy Hill. Chicago's training staff determined Trubisky was fit to play in the second half, but Nagy noted the quarterback's hip stiffened up in the fourth quarter. Nagy decided to pull Trubisky with 3:31 remaining, opening the door for veteran Chase Daniel to direct the final drive of the night. With the coach stressing that the decision to pull Trubisky early had nothing to do with his play, the struggling signal-caller looks like he'll be back out there against the Giants if the hip doesn't prove to be a major concern.

  • Drew Lock QB | SEA

Broncos' Drew Lock: 'Unlikely' for Week 12 activation

Coach Vic Fangio said it's "unlikely but possible" Lock (thumb) is activated from injured reserve in advance of Sunday's game at Buffalo, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports.

In the event Lock does elevate to the 53-man roster, he'll be the backup to current starting quarterback Brandon Allen. Lock is expected to continue working with the scout team this week, much like he's done since he was designated for return from IR last Tuesday. The Broncos have two weeks remaining to make a decision on Lock, but in the meantime Brett Rypien will serve as the team's No. 2 QB.

Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Dealing with hip pointer

Coach Matt Nagy relayed Monday that Trubisky suffered a right hip pointer on a second-quarter sack in Sunday night's 17-7 loss to the Rams, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

After the sack, Trubisky was able to stay in the game, but eventually he was replaced by Chase Daniel with 3:34 remaining in the fourth quarter. It remains to be seen if Trubisky will be able to play Week 12, but we should have a better idea of his status for this coming Sunday's tilt against the Giants once the Bears resume practice.
