Nathan Peterman QB | ATL
Nathan Peterman: Cut loose by Buffalo
The Bills waived Peterman on Monday.
Peterman was horrendous in eight spot appearances during his two-year tenure in Buffalo, posting a completion percentage of 52.3, interception rate of 9.2 percent and three touchdowns on 130 career passes. With the impressive showing from Matt Barkley on Sunday against the Jets and the expected return to health of Josh Allen (elbow) in Week 12 following a bye week, Peterman was on precarious footing. The Bills made the logical move with their 53-man roster, even if it meant admitting defeat with the development of the 2017 fifth-round pick.

Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Listed as non-participant Monday
Rodgers (knee) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Since hurting his left knee in the regular-season opener, Rodgers has been a fixture on Packers injury reports. However, he handled every possible practice rep last week for the first time and proceeded to put up 199 yards and two touchdowns through the air during Sunday's 31-12 win against the Dolphins. Just one day removed from that contest, Rodgers wouldn't have practiced if the Packers had held a session. The decision likely was maintenance-based, but his status should be monitored in advance of Thursday's visit to Seattle.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill: Throws without pain
Tannehill (shoulder) threw without pain Sunday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. "That was the start of their throwing progression after so many off," coach Adam Gase said Monday. "It seemed like it went well. It's not like he's out there throwing 60-yard throws. They have a progression of how they want to do it. They said it was a good first step and he felt good. So that's a positive."
Sunday's session included an unknown number of throws, after which Tannehill didn't feel any discomfort. To date, he's missed five consecutive games with a right shoulder injury related to the capsule that surrounds the joint and rotator cuff tendons. The Dolphins are entering their bye week, so his next chance to return to action is Nov. 25 at Indianapolis. If Tannehill doesn't make the requisite progress, though, Brock Osweiler will continue to direct the offense.

Lamar Jackson QB | BAL
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: No lock for start if Flacco sits
Jackson and Robert Griffin will both be candidates to start if Joe Flacco (hip) isn't available for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.
The Ravens aren't quite ready to evaluate Jackson at the expense of their prospects for making a playoff push, though it isn't clear Flacco (or Griffin) gives them a better chance to win. The hip injury is serious enough to threaten Flacco's availability coming out of a Week 10 bye, setting up an interesting week in Baltimore ahead of a crucial game against a fellow AFC wild-card contender. Whichever quarterback ends up starting will take aim at a slumping Bengals team that fired Teryl Austin from the defensive coordinator position Monday.

Sam Darnold QB | SEA
Jets' Sam Darnold: No lock to be ready after bye
Darnold (foot) is out of his walking boot, but coach Todd Bowles acknowledged Monday that he isn't sure if the rookie quarterback will be ready to play after a Week 11 bye, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
An embarrassing 41-10 loss to the Bills on Sunday ended any slim hope of competing for a wild-card spot and also seems to have put Bowles on the hot seat (if he wasn't already). The Jets don't have any short-term incentive to rush their rookie quarterback into action if he isn't 100 percent healthy, but they may need him in the lineup to get an accurate evaluation of their team before making some big decisions during the offseason. The bye week comes at a convenient time, allowing Darnold to get some rest while his teammates regroup before facing the Patriots on Nov. 25.

Matt Barkley QB | JAC
Bills' Matt Barkley: Set to turn keys over to Josh Allen
Despite Barkley's impressive performance against the Jets on Sunday, head coach Sean McDermott said Monday that quarterback Josh Allen (elbow) will return to the starting lineup when healthy.
Few predicted the kind of success Barkley would find against the Jets in a game that marked the quarterback's first live action since he was with the Bears in 2016. However, Buffalo's top priority is developing its prized rookie, and it's now clear Barkley's one-game renaissance won't deter the team from its long-term plan. While Barkley likely has done enough to establish himself as the clear No. 2 option over Nathan Peterman and Derek Anderson (concussion), he'll only have fantasy value going forward if Allen is forced to miss any more games. With Buffalo on bye Week 11, Allen has roughly two more weeks to bounce back from his elbow injury. McDermott indicated Monday that Allen has already resumed a throwing regimen and is making daily progress in his recovery.

Josh Allen QB | BUF
Bills' Josh Allen: Will start when healthy
Head coach Sean McDermott said Monday that Allen (elbow), if healthy, will return to the starting lineup Week 12 following Buffalo's Week 11 bye.
Allen has been out of commission since Week 6 due to an elbow injury. With Derek Anderson (concussion) also unavailable and Nathan Peterman getting benched after throwing three picks against Chicago, the Bills turned to veteran Matt Barkley to command the offense for Sunday's 41-10 demolition of the Jets. However, despite Barkley's impressive play, Buffalo is still committed to Allen's development, and it's now clear that the rookie will get as many reps as his health will allow. Fortunately, McDermott said that Allen has resumed throwing and is making progress in his recovery, which suggests Allen has decent odds of making a return when the Bills reconvene for a Week 12 game against Jacksonville.

Josh Allen QB | BUF
Bills' Josh Allen: Week 12 start not guaranteed
Coach Sean McDermott says he's undecided on his Week 12 starting quarterback after Allen's (elbow) teammate Matt Barkley led the Bills to a surprise win Sunday over the Jets, Kyle Silagyi of the Bills' official site reports. "Yeah, give me some time here on that," McDermott said. "We'll reassess [Monday] when we get in and look at the film. I'm just proud of the guys, really, the way they battled [Sunday]. The week before the bye, in particular, to be focused and come out with that type of energy says a lot about them."
Allen, who's now missed four games after suffering an elbow injury in the Week 6 loss to the Texans, was close to being ready for Sunday's start, but the team decided to play it safe and roll with the journeyman Barkley, who tossed for 232 yards and two touchdowns (no interceptions) with an impressive 9.3 yards per attempt. Make no mistake, Allen is the long-term starter, but the Buffalo offense showed a spark for one of the only times all season Sunday, with Barkley looking more polished than anyone could have expected in his first start in nearly two seasons. It'll be interesting to see how the Bills manage the practice reps over the bye leading up to a Week 12 matchup against the Jaguars, though one thing's for sure -- Derek Anderson (concussion) and Nathan Peterman won't be starting again anytime soon.

Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Scores twice in victory
Prescott completed 26 of 36 pass attempts for 270 yards and a touchdown, adding nine yards and another touchdown on six carries in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Eagles.
Fresh off a vote of confidence from his owner earlier this week, Prescott led his team to a key division victory in a hostile environment. After a slow start to the year, the 25-year-old has begun to pick things up over his last four games, averaging 242.3 passing yards per game to go along with six touchdowns to just one interception. Not known for his mobility, Prescott has also helped his fantasy stock with 135 yards and three more scores over that four-game span. The signal caller doesn't have the greatest upside, but he could be a sneaky play against a porous Falcons pass defense Week 11.
-
Jared Goff QB | DET
Rams' Jared Goff: Lights up Seahawks secondary
Goff completed 28 of 39 pass attempts for 318 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 36-31 win against Seattle.
With another stellar outing in Week 10 against Seattle, the former No. 1 overall pick continues his dominance of NFC West foes. Since Sean McVay took over as Rams head coach, Goff has averaged 261 yards per game with a 67 percent completion rate in nine interdivision contests (8-1 record). The third-year quarterback is throwing for a career-best 313.4 yards per game this season, while owning a 22:6 TD:INT for the Rams' top-five passing attack. Goff is a shoe-in fantasy QB1 and potential DFS darling for a Week 11 Monday night showdown against Kansas City's No. 28 pass defense (allowing 289 yards per game).
