Hoyer (concussion) has not been cleared by the league's concussion protocol, and Brandon Weeden will get the start Sunday against Tennessee, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.

Hoyer was held out of last week's game against Indianapolis, as T.J. Yates got the start, only to be relieved by Brandon Weeden later in the contest. With Hoyer still unavailable, the Texans will go with Weeden as their starter Sunday afternoon.

Hoyer has still not cleared the league's concussion protocol and appears on track to be out for Sunday's game against Tennessee, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

In such a scenario, Brandon Weeden would get the start Sunday, with B.J Daniels serving as the Texans' backup with Hoyer unavailable. That said, CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora is reporting that Hoyer is progressing and the team believes he's on track for a Week 17 return.

We'll continue to monitor Hoyer's less-than-secure Week 16 status, but if he can't play Sunday against the Titans in the Texans' 1:00 ET kickoff, Brandon Weeden would be in line to start at QB for the team this weekend.

If Hoyer can't play Sunday against the Titans, Brandon Weeden would be in line to start at QB for the Texans this weekend. Note that the Texans are off on Christmas Day, so it's possible that Hoyer's Week 16 status won't be updated again before Saturday.

Morris was signed by the Colts on Thursday, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.

Morris was residing on the Eagles' practice squad, but with Andrew Luck (abdomen/kidney) already ruled out heading into Week 16 and Matt Hasselbeck hampered by a litany of injuries, the Colts opted to bring the 23-year-old on the roster as the No. 3 quarterback.
