The 49ers signed Bradley to a one-year contract Thursday, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Hunter Dekkers QB | NO
Hunter Dekkers: Cut by New Orleans
The Saints waived Dekkers on Thursday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
New Orleans doesn't have the reps to give Dekkers, as the team is trying to sort out its starting quarterback situation by giving second-round rookie Tyler Shough, Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener meaningful snaps this summer. Dekkers will try to find work as a camp arm elsewhere.

Jake Haener QB | KC
Saints' Jake Haener: Gets run with first-team offense
Haener (oblique) worked with the first-team offense at Wednesday's practice, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Haener suffered a multi-week oblique injury back in May but is healed and receiving work with New Orleans' offensive starters. New coach Kellen Moore has made it clear that all three of Haener, Spencer Rattler and second-round rookie Tyler Shough will get run with the first team at least through the first preseason game. Haener appeared in eight regular-season contests last season, making one start, and completed 18 of 39 passes for 226 yards (5.8 yards per attempt), one touchdown and one interception.

Shedeur Sanders QB | CLE
Browns' Shedeur Sanders: Faces top defensive unit Wednesday
While working with the second-team offense, Sanders went up against the Browns' top defensive squad during Wednesday's practice, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
With Kenny Pickett sidelined indefinitely with a hamstring injury, Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Sanders have been handling the team's QB snaps in practice. For now, Flacco continues to see most of the first-team reps in Pickett's absence, while Gabriel has occasionally sprinkled in with the top unit. Sanders has yet to work with the starting offense thus far.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Rams' Matthew Stafford: Confidence for Week 1
The Rams remain confident that Stafford (back) will be available Week 1, though he remains absent from practice Wednesday and the team has not provided an expected timetable for his return to the field, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Head coach Sean McVay has referred to Stafford only as "week-to-week" while acknowledging that internally Los Angeles has "a plan in place," but he at least said Tuesday he feels "very confident" that the veteran quarterback will take the field Sept. 7 versus the Texans for the Rams' regular-season opener. "What I don't want to do is set a timetable with you guys and then for whatever reason as we're continuing to gain information, that changes," McVay said. In the meantime, Jimmy Garoppolo will continue to handle first-team quarterback reps. It remains to be seen whether Stafford will be back on the field in time to participate in joint practices ahead of Los Angeles' first two preseason games, which will be against the Cowboys on Aug. 8 and the Chargers on Aug. 16.

Anthony Richardson QB | IND
Colts' Anthony Richardson: QB competition remains close
The Colts' quarterback competition in training camp between Richardson and Daniel Jones remains tight, Stephen Holder of ESPN reports.
On that subject, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports that coach Shane Steichen calls the ongoing job battle "neck and neck." After what Zak Keefer of The Athletic describes as "sloppy starts" in training camp from both signal callers, he notes that Richardson was sharper during the team's first two padded practices while displaying improved accuracy on his throws in that span. Ultimately, Steichen has indicated that a decision on who will draw the Week 1 start will come down to consistency, both in terms of preparation and performance, and it figures to be some time before that call is made.

Justin Fields QB | NYJ
Jets' Justin Fields: Practicing with toe shield
Fields is practicing with a plastic shield on his cleat to protect his dislocated toe, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
"We get our feet stepped on all the time at practice, so it just felt normal at first when I got stepped on. But I tried walking off and it just felt weird, like something was stuck in my toe," Fields said. "I didn't know what to think. I just knew something was wrong. ... Luckily, they said it was just dislocated." Fields has returned to team drills this week, and there's been zero concern out of Jets camp that the quarterback is dealing with any sort of long-term issue. Fields should be under center for the Week 1 opener.

Justin Herbert QB | LAC
Chargers' Justin Herbert: Won't play in Hall of Fame Game
Coach Jim Harbaugh said Tuesday that "traditional" starters, such as Herbert, won't suit up for Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Lions, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
This comes as no surprise, as the Chargers will have three more opportunities for their top talent to get in some reps before Week 1. In Herbert's place, Trey Lance will get the nod under center over presumed No. 2 QB Taylor Heinicke. As for Herbert and the rest of the starters, their next chance for exhibition action will arrive Sunday, Aug. 10 versus the Saints.

Trey Lance QB | LAC
Chargers' Trey Lance: Will start Hall of Fame Game
Lance will start Thursday's preseason opener against the Lions in the Hall of Fame Game, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
The 25-year-old kicked off training camp as Los Angeles' third-string quarterback behind Justin Herbert and Taylor Heinicke, but he'll get a chance to start the team's preseason opener. Undrafted rookie DJ Uiagalelei will likely work as Lance's backup. Almost all the Chargers' key starters on both sides of the ball figure to be held out of action Thursday, but Lance could get a chance to work with a handful of intriguing pass catchers such as 2025 fifth-round wideout KeAndre Lambert-Smith, 2024 seventh-round receiver Brenden Rice and 2025 fifth-round tight end Oronde Gadsden. Lance's rushing abilities also make him a candidate to rack up production even if his passing skills don't impress.
