Clayton Tune QB | GB
Cardinals' Clayton Tune: Moving back to backup role
Tune will return to a backup role after Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed Friday that Kyler Murray (knee) will start Sunday's game against the Falcons, Donnie Druin of SI.com reports.
Gannon had already hinted Monday that Murray was tracking toward the Week 10 start, but the Cardinals didn't make Murray's return to the lineup official until they had a chance to evaluate him in practices this week. With his surgically-repaired knee evidently checking out fine, Murray should remain atop the depth chart the rest of the way, even while the 1-8 Cardinals play out the string on a losing season. After Arizona traded Joshua Dobbs to Minnesota on Oct. 31, Tune stepped in to make his first NFL start Week 9 but struggled mightily in a 27-0 loss to the Browns, completing 11 of 20 passes for 58 yards and two interceptions while adding 28 yards on the ground and also losing a fumble.

Tyrod Taylor QB | NYJ
Giants' Tyrod Taylor: Expects to return this season
Taylor said Thursday that his rib injury is "not season-ending in my mind," Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Earlier this week, Giants head coach Brian Daboll was non-committal about Taylor playing again this season, but the quarterback stated Thursday that nobody in the organization has indicated that his campaign could be over. Taylor is on IR and isn't eligible to play until Week 14 versus Green Bay, and there could be little motivation for New York to expedite his return in what is looking like a lost season, as the club currently sits in last place in the NFC East at 2-7. Daniel Jones tore his ACL this past Sunday versus the Raiders and is out for the remainder of the campaign, so undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito is set to take the helm behind center for the foreseeable future.

Kyler Murray QB | MIN
Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Confirmed as Week 10 starter
Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said Friday that Murray will start Sunday's game against the Falcons, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
The Cardinals have delayed Murray's return for a couple weeks now but will put him back under center after a disastrous outing from rookie QB Clayton Tune in the Week 9 loss to Cleveland. While it's unclear if he'll initially be as much of a rushing threat as he was in past seasons, Murray at least figures to help the Arizona passing game and offers hope for any fantasy managers counting on WR Marquise Brown or TE Trey McBride. The return to action for Murray comes exactly 11 months after he suffered an ACL tear Dec. 12 last year.

Tyson Bagent QB | CHI
Bears' Tyson Bagent: Quiet night in Week 10 win
Bagent completed 20 of 33 passes for 162 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed six times for 12 yards in the Bears' 16-13 win over the Panthers on Thursday night.
Bagent mostly played the role of game manager, with his longest completion of the night a 16-yard connection with DJ Moore. The rookie once again unsurprisingly focused on Moore and Cole Kmet the most in terms of his targets, and he also completed six safe passes to running backs Roschon Johnson and D'Onta Foreman. Bagent has picked up some valuable experience while filling in for Justin Fields (thumb) over the last four-plus games, but the latter could be back under center for a Week 11 divisional road battle against the Lions on Nov. 19.

Bryce Young QB | CAR
Panthers' Bryce Young: Struggles again in Week 10 loss
Young completed 21 of 38 passes for 185 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed three times for 18 yards in the Panthers' 16-13 loss to the Bears on Thursday night.
Young fell short of the 200-yard mark through the air for the second straight contest, and although he avoided turnovers after a three-interception tally Week 9, he still was mostly ineffective. The Panthers punted in six of their first seven possessions, and their longest march, a 15-play drive in the fourth quarter, ended in a missed would-be game-tying 59-yard field-goal attempt. Young will have an uphill battle trying to right the ship in a Week 11 home matchup against the Cowboys on Sunday, Nov. 19.

Justin Fields QB | KC
Bears' Justin Fields: Sitting out again Thursday
Fields (thumb) is listed as inactive Thursday against the Panthers.
Since the Bears cleared Fields to practice last Friday, he's been listed as a limited participant on four consecutive injury reports. Still, he was doubtful to play the last two games and predictably wasn't able to suit up on either occasion. With a fourth straight absence on tap, Fields again will yield quarterback duties to undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent. Next week, Fields will aim to gain clearance to play for the first time since dislocating his right thumb Week 6 ahead of an NFC North road matchup with the Lions on Sunday, Nov. 19.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Misses Thursday's practice
Tannehill (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Tannehill worked in a limited fashion Wednesday, making it unclear if his absence from practice a day later is indicative of a setback or simply a case of workload management. In any case, Tannehill's Week 10 status only affects the Titans from a depth perspective, with Will Levis having been named the team's starting quarterback moving forward.

Jaren Hall QB | SEA
Vikings' Jaren Hall: Missing for another practice
Hall (concussion) isn't slated to practice Thursday, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
While Hall is sidelined for a second straight practice, the Vikings are left with Joshua Dobbs and practice squad members Sean Mannion and Tanner Morgan as their three available quarterbacks. Head coach Kevin O'Connell has already suggested that Dobbs is being prepared for the start Sunday against the Saints, and at this stage, Hall doesn't look as though he's on pace to clear the five-step concussion protocol in time to serve as Dobbs' backup this weekend. With that in mind, look for the Vikings to elevate one of Mannion or Morgan to the roster prior to game day.

Carson Wentz QB | MIN
Rams' Carson Wentz: Officially on active roster
The Rams officially signed Wentz to their active roster Wednesday, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports.
After a rollicking Tuesday in which the Rams waived Brett Rypien and cut Dresser Winn from the practice squad, reports emerged indicating that Wentz was in line to sign with the team. It wasn't clear until one day later that Wentz in fact was joining the active roster rather than the practice squad to serve as the backup to Matthew Stafford moving forward. Rypien's uninspiring performance this past Sunday at Green Bay may have been the impetus for the move, and Wentz now seems destined to serve as the No. 2 quarterback following the Rams' Week 10 bye, considering head coach Sean McVay expressed confidence Monday in Stafford's ability to play in the team's next outing Nov. 19 against the Seahawks, per Jackson. Such an outcome isn't guaranteed, so Wentz might not be far away from seeing his first game action since Week 17 of last season.

Jaren Hall QB | SEA
Vikings' Jaren Hall: No activity Wednesday
Hall (concussion) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.
Hall's early departure this past Sunday paved the way for Joshua Dobbs' heroics in an eventual 31-28 victory in Atlanta. The rookie quarterback was diagnosed with a concussion, and with Hall a spectator for the Vikings' first Week 10 practice, he may not be ready to serve as Dobbs' backup Sunday against the Saints. With Kirk Cousins (Achilles) out for the season and Nick Mullens (back) still on injured reserve, practice-squad member Sean Mannion may get the No. 2 assignment instead of Hall if the latter doesn't clear the five-step protocol in advance of Sunday's game.
