  • Jets' Justin Fields: May miss Week 14

Coach Aaron Glenn said Friday that Fields is dealing with a sore knee, and "there's a chance" he'll be inactive Sunday against the Dolphins, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.

Fields has served as the Jets' backup quarterback to Tyrod Taylor the last two games, but a knee injury that resulted in a limited practice Thursday now is threatening his availability for Week 14. If Fields ends up sitting out this weekend, practice-squad member Brady Cook will serve as the No. 2 behind Taylor.

  • Jared Goff QB | DET

Lions' Jared Goff: Eclipses 300-yard mark in win

Goff completed 25 of 34 passes for 309 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions while rushing twice for minus-2 yards in the Lions' 44-30 win over the Cowboys on Thursday night.

Goff put together a solid all-around performance in a game where he had the benefit of the lead for the majority of the time, averaging 9.1 yards per attempt on the way to his third 300-yard effort of the season. The veteran signal-caller completed five passes of 20-plus yards overall, with Jameson Williams, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs serving as his top three targets and Isaac TeSlaa on the receiving end of his one touchdown pass (12 yards). Goff boasts an impressive 70.1 percent completion rate and elite 26:5 TD:INT heading into a Week 15 road clash against his old Rams squad on Dec. 14.

  • Dak Prescott QB | DAL

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Racks up yardage in loss

Prescott completed 31 of 47 passes for 376 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions while adding three rushes for 14 yards in the Cowboys' 44-30 loss to the Lions on Thursday night. He also threw a two-point conversion pass and committed a fumble recovered by Dallas.

Prescott lost CeeDee Lamb to a concussion early in the third quarter, but that didn't deter the standout signal-caller from a season-high yardage total on his way to his third straight 300-yard game. Game script also worked toward supporting a heavy-volume night for Prescott, whose number of pass attempts was his second highest of the season. Prescott connected with eight different targets overall, and Ryan Flournoy (42 yards) and Jake Ferguson were on the receiving end of his one touchdown pass and two-point conversion toss, respectively. Prescott and his teammates will continue their quest to eventually punch a postseason ticket in a Week 15 Sunday night home clash against the Vikings on Dec. 14.

  • Justin Herbert QB | LAC

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Limited practice Thursday

Herbert (left hand) was limited at practice Thursday.

Herbert, who underwent surgery to stabilize a fracture in his left (non-throwing) hand Monday, sported a cast while tossing passes during Thursday's session, per Kris Rhim of ESPN.com. The QB now has two more chances to practice fully before injury designations for this coming Monday night's contest against the Eagles are posted, but on Wednesday, Herbert told Rhim that "the plan is to prepare as if I'm going to play and see how the next couple of days goes." For his part, coach Jim Harbaugh said the Chargers are optimistic Herbert will play versus Philadelphia, but they are preparing backup Trey Lance to start if necessary.

  • Geno Smith QB | NYJ

Raiders' Geno Smith: Turns in full practice Thursday

    Smith (foot) practiced fully Thursday.

Smith was limited at practice Wednesday, but his return to a full session Thursday paves the way for the QB to start Sunday's game against the 10-2 Broncos, a tough matchup that limits his lineup utility to deeper formats with four teams on bye this week. In the Raiders' Week 13 loss to the Chargers, Smith completed 18 of his 23 pass attempts for 165 yards with two touchdowns and a pick, while rushing twice for minus-6 yards and a fumble that Las Vegas recovered.

  • Jets' Justin Fields: Limited with knee

Fields (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

Fields appeared on Thursday's injury report with a knee injury he may have sustained in Wednesday's practice. Now serving as the No. 2 quarterback behind Tyrod Taylor, an absence on Fields' part for Sunday's game against the Dolphins would mean rookie undrafted free agent Brady Cook would serve as Taylor's backup.

  • Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Back to full practice

Mayfield (left shoulder) was a full practice participant Thursday.

Mayfield has been dealing with an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder since the midpoint of a Week 12 loss at the Rams, but he played through the issue this past Sunday versus the Cardinals, completing 18 of 28 passes for 194 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions while turning six carries into 27 yards. He was among five key Buccaneers skill-position players to be limited at Wednesday's walkthrough, but all of him, RB Bucky Irving (shoulder) and WR Chris Godwin (fibula) bumped up to all activity Thursday, while WRs Mike Evans (collarbone) and Jalen McMillan (neck), both of whom were designated to return from IR this week, again operated with a cap on their reps. Friday's injury report will reveal if either or both of Evans and McMillan have a chance to rejoin Tampa Bay's receiving corps Sunday versus the Saints.

  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Practices fully Thursday

Rodgers (left wrist) practiced fully Thursday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Rodgers logged a 'DNP' on Wednesday as he continues to work through a left wrist fracture that he sustained in Week 11, per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com. When asked if he feels like his wrist is healing, and if he anticipates making any tweaks to the cast and stabilizer that he used this past Sunday against the Bills, Rodgers said Wednesday, "Yeah, I hope so. ... It's definitely healing. I appreciate the extra day off." The QB's return to a full practice Thursday sets the stage for him to start Sunday's game against the Ravens, with both teams heading into Week 14 action at 6-6, which puts them atop the AFC North standings.

  • J.J. McCarthy QB | MIN

Vikings' J.J. McCarthy: Out of concussion protocol

McCarthy spoke to the media Thursday, indicating that he's out of the concussion protocol, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.

McCarthy emerged from a Week 12 loss at Green Bay with concussion symptoms and entered league protocol, resulting in him missing this past Sunday's defeat in Seattle. After logging full practices Wednesday and Thursday and subsequently holding a media session, he's gained clearance from an independent neurologist and thus is set to return to action Sunday versus the Commanders.

  • Jayden Daniels QB | WAS

Commanders' Jayden Daniels: Full practice Thursday

Daniels (left elbow) practiced fully Thursday.

As of Wednesday, Daniels hadn't been cleared for contact following the dislocated left elbow that he suffered Week 9 against the Seahawks, with coach Dan Quinn telling Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post that the Commanders were "going to take it all the way through Friday" to determine his potential to return Sunday at Minnesota. A full practice Thursday indicates that Daniels is on a path to do so, and the team's final Week 14 injury report Friday will reveal how he's listed, or if he has a designation at all. Marcus Mariota would start again this weekend if Daniels isn't able to suit up.
