  • Trevor Siemian QB | ATL

Bears' Trevor Siemian: Struggles after hot start

Siemian completed 14 of 25 passes for 179 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 31-10 loss to the Jets. He added eight yards on four rushing attempts.

Siemian got off to a strong start, completing three of five passes for 62 yards on the opening drive to set up a 22-yard Cairo Santos field goal before adding another 58 passing yards on the following possession, including a four-yard touchdown pass to Byron Pringle to take a 10-7 lead. New York's defense woke up after that, holding Siemian and the Bears in check the rest of the way. His final pass was an interception on 1st-and-goal, after which the Jets ran out the final 5:04. If Justin Fields (shoulder) feels good enough to play against the Packers in Week 13, Siemian will be back on the bench, but keep in mind that Chicago could play it safe with the second-year starter's injury by having Fields sit out through the Bears' Week 14 bye.

  • Joe Burrow QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Leads Bengals to gritty win

Burrow completed 22 of 37 passes for 270 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in the Bengals' 20-16 win over the Titans on Sunday. He also had nine carries for 32 yards.

It wasn't a banner fantasy day for Burrow, but he protected the ball (zero turnovers) and was only sacked once, despite not having the services of Ja'Marr Chase (hip) and Joe Mixon (concussion). He'll have to put up bigger numbers next week when the Bengals host the Chiefs.

  • Bears' Justin Fields: Has chance to return in Week 13

Coach Matt Eberflus said after Sunday's 31-10 road loss to the Jets that Fields (shoulder) remains "day-to-day" and will have a chance to play next Sunday against the Packers, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. "We think that he's getting better," Eberflus added.

Near the end of a Week 11 loss in Atlanta, Fields suffered a separated shoulder that included partially torn ligaments in his left, non-throwing arm. The injury resulted in a cap on his practice reps Wednesday through Friday, but it wasn't enough to gain clearance for game action. Eberflus elaborated on the decision Sunday, telling Cronin that Fields "did not have the strength to protect himself in the game properly and perform the way he wanted to perform." Fields may not need to log a full practice during Week 13 prep in order to suit up next weekend, but it would help his case as he seeks to return to action. Working in place of Fields this Sunday, Trevor Siemian completed 14 of 25 passes for 179 yards, one touchdown and one interception and recorded four carries for eight yards.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Impressive in home win

Tagovailoa completed 22 of 36 passes for 299 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the Dolphins' 30-15 win over the Texans on Sunday.

Tagovailoa helped the Dolphins to points in five of their six first-half possessions, leading to a 30-0 lead that eventually facilitated an early exit for the star quarterback. While he was on the field, Tagovailoa did an exemplary job of distributing the ball, hitting nine different pass catchers for completions overall, including reserve tight end Durham Smythe for his one touchdown pass. The 2020 first-round pick's three-game streak of multi-touchdown efforts was snapped, but he'll take the surging Dolphins into a Week 13 road showdown against the 49ers with an elite 19:3 TD:INT and no less than 261 passing yards in any of his last five contests.

  • Mike White QB | CAR

Jets' Mike White: Three TDs in impressive debut

White completed 22 of 28 passes for 315 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 31-10 win over the Bears. He added two rushing yards on three attempts.

Called upon to make his season debut with Zach Wilson benched, White immediately produced the Jets' first opening possession touchdown drive of the season. He completed six of seven passes for 69 yards on the drive, capped by an eight-yard touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson. In the second quarter, White connected with Elijah Moore for a 42-yard gain leading to a botched field-goal attempt, then found Wilson for a 54-yard touchdown to take a 14-10 lead. White finished the first half with 16 completions on 20 attempts for 235 yards and two touchdowns as the Jets took a 17-10 lead into the locker room. The dominant Jets defense took over after that, though White chipped in with a 22-yard touchdown pass to Elijah Moore. It's safe to say White can be treated as New York's starter until further notice, so expect to see him under center against the Vikings in Week 13.

  • Trace McSorley QB | WAS

Cardinals' Trace McSorley: Won't play Sunday

McSorley (illness) is inactive Sunday against the Chargers.

McSorley missed practice Friday due to the illness, and he's still apparently feeling under the weather. However, with Kyler Murray back under center and Colt McCoy still considered the team's No. 2 quarterback, McSorley's absence should not impact the team Week 12.

  • Trevor Siemian QB | ATL

Bears' Trevor Siemian: Draws Week 12 start

Siemian started at QB for the Bears on Sunday against the Jets, Courtney Cronin of ESPN reports.

With Justin Fields (shoulder) unavailable, Siemian had been expected to start Sunday, but after he injured an oblique muscle during warmups, the Bears announced that Nathan Peterman would draw the assignment instead. Evidently, Siemian felt better as kickoff approached, and he ended up starting the contest after all. Fields' next chance to suit up will arrive next weekend, when Chicago faces Green Bay in Week 13.

  • Trevor Siemian QB | ATL

Bears' Trevor Siemian: Week 12 starter TBD

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network relays that Bears media relations told reporters that it's a game-time decision between Siemian and Nathan Peterman as to who will start Sunday's game against the Jets.

With Justin Fields (shoulder) inactive for the Bears' Week 12 contest, Trevor Siemian had been in line to start, but he suffered an oblique injury during pregame warmups. Peterman was then named the team's starting QB, but now it's a game-time decision regarding who will get the nod.

  • Bears' Nathan Peterman: May not start after all

Peterman and Trevor Siemian (oblique) are both in consideration to start Sunday's game against the Jets, with the Bears set to make a game-time decision on which quarterback will take the first snap of the day, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

After top quarterback Justin Fields (shoulder) was officially made inactive earlier Sunday, Siemian had been positioned to start, but the Bears announced 45 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff that Peterman would pick up the start after Siemian injured his oblique in warmups. Siemian later returned to the field for warmups and took some reps with the first-team offense, however, suggesting his injury might not be severe enough to keep him from playing, according to Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune. No matter whether Peterman or Siemian gets the nod Sunday, the fantasy prospects for all Bears pass catchers will likely be lower than if Fields were directing the offense.

  • Bears' Nathan Peterman: Pressed into starting role

Peterman will start Sunday's game against the Jets.

With Justin Fields (shoulder) inactive for the Week 12 contest, Trevor Siemian had been in line to start, but Siemian suffered an oblique injury during pregame warmups and will now serve as the Bears' backup quarterback. Peterman, who was elevated from the practice squad Saturday, thus represents a lineup option for those originally planning to utilize Siemian or who are otherwise scrambling for a signal-caller in Week 12. In 10 career regular-season appearances with the Bills and Raiders, Peterman has completed 52.6 percent of his passes for 4.2 yards per attempt and a 3:12 TD:INT.
