  • Josh Allen QB | BUF

Bills' Josh Allen: Throws two picks Sunday night

Allen completed 13 of 25 pass attempts for 218 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while adding 49 rushing yards on six attempts in a 27-17 win over Green Bay on Sunday.

Allen suffered his worst fantasy point total of the season despite getting his team a win on national television. The 13 completions marked a new low for the year, but the superstar quarterback made those completions count with a strong mark of 8.7 yards per attempt despite the two picks and low completion percentage. Allen will look to return to his usual spot among the week's top fantasy performers in a road matchup against the Jets next Sunday.

  • Commanders' Taylor Heinicke: Leads game-winning drive

Heinicke completed 23 of 31 passes for 279 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 17-16 win over the Colts. He added six rushes for 29 yards and a touchdown.

Heinicke capped an impressive comeback win with a one-yard run off right guard into the end zone late in the fourth quarter to put the Commanders ahead for good. He completed a key 33-yard pass to Terry McLaurin earlier in the drive and peppered his star receiver with deep targets throughout the game -- also connecting for gains of 42 and 18 yards. In two games since taking over as the Commanders' starter, Heinicke has combined to complete 43 of 64 passes for 480 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.

  • Sam Ehlinger QB | DEN

Colts' Sam Ehlinger: Efficient in first start

Ehlinger completed 17 of 23 passes for 201 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Commanders. He rushed the ball six times for 15 yards.

Ehlinger made his first NFL start, and the team predictably turned to a fairly conservative offense. Nevertheless, he showed the ability to distribute the ball effectively, connecting with three different receivers for gains of at least 20 yards. One surprise was Ehlinger's lack of effectiveness as a runner, as he racked up at least 375 rushing yards in each of his four years in college as a starter at Texas. While this performance was encouraging overall, Ehlinger will face a stiff test in Week 9 as the Colts will head to Foxboro to take on the Patriots.

  • Geno Smith QB | NYJ

Seahawks' Geno Smith: Big fourth quarter in win

Smith completed 23 of 34 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Giants. He added 26 rushing yards on five carries.

The game was a tight defensive battle until the fourth quarter, when Smith broke open a 13-13 tie with a 33-yard TD strike to Tyler Lockett. The veteran QB has tossed multiple touchdowns in six of eight games so far this season en route to a sharp 13:3 TD:INT, but in Week 9 he faces a Cardinals secondary that kept him out of the end zone entirely in their first meeting.

  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Giants' Daniel Jones: Shut down by Seahawks

Jones completed 17 of 31 passes for 176 yards and added 20 rushing yards on six carries in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Seahawks.

The Giants' offense couldn't get much going in Seattle, and while Jones has had plenty of lackluster passing performances this season, this time he wasn't able to compensate with his legs. He'll head into a Week 9 bye having failed to reach 200 passing yards in six of eight games so far, with a season high of just 217 yards, as Saquon Barkley remains the clear focal point of the New York attack.

  • Kenny Pickett QB | CAR

Steelers' Kenny Pickett: Can't get going against Eagles

Pickett completed 25 of 38 passes for 191 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 35-13 loss to the Eagles.

Pickett turned in another performance filled with mistakes and inefficiency. He averaged just 5.0 yards per attempt and has yet to surpass a mark of 6.3 in any of the four games he's started this season. Pickett also threw his eighth interception of the season late in the fourth quarter with the game well out of reach. Volume may be the one positive to take away from Pickett's performance, as he has now thrown 52, 44 and 38 passes in his three full games this season. However, for that to matter, he'll need to greatly improve his decision-making and ability to connect down the field with his receivers.

  • Davis Mills QB | HOU

Texans' Davis Mills: Falls back to earth in Week 8

Mills completed 17 of 29 passes for 152 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Titans. He also picked up eight rushing yards on three carries.

Coming on the heels of his first 300-yard performance last week, Mills barely reached half that total, though he salvaged his performance a little with a three-yard TD toss to Dameon Pierce with 17 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Mills will face an even tougher challenge in Week 9 at home against the undefeated Eagles.

  • 49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: Efficient against Rams

Garoppolo completed 21 of 25 pass attempts for 235 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-14 win over the Rams.

Garoppolo was nearly perfect against a Rams defense loaded with talent, moving the ball with ease and even taking the top off the secondary on a couple of well-placed deep shots. The 30-year-old had a touchdown vultured by new teammate Christian McCaffrey on a halfback pass to Brandon Aiyuk, so fantasy managers will have to live with the "hockey assist" on a would-be third score. Seemingly unwanted by both his team and fantasy managers to begin the year, Garoppolo has quietly put up strong results with 1,691 passing yards and 11 touchdowns to four interceptions through seven games (six starts) heading into the upcoming bye week. Jimmy G and the 49ers will resume play against the Chargers on Nov. 13.

  • Malik Willis QB | MIA

Titans' Malik Willis: Does little in first start

Willis completed six of 10 passes for 55 yards and an interception while adding 12 rushing yards on five carries in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Texans.

The 2022 third-round pick didn't look ready for prime time in his first career start and failed to make an impact with his arm or his legs. Fortunately for Willis and the Titans, Derrick Henry was once again trampling the Texans defense into the dirt, and they didn't need the rookie QB to do much. Ryan Tannehill (ankle) could be ready to return next week, but if he isn't Willis will need to raise his game significantly in a road matchup against Kansas City.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Rushing TD saves quiet fantasy day

Stafford completed 22 of 33 pass attempts for 187 yards and a touchdown and rushed twice for a loss of one yard and another touchdown in Sunday's 31-14 loss to the 49ers.

Stafford scored his first rushing touchdown since 2016, saving what would have been a down fantasy day in terms of passing stats. The bad news for the veteran signal-caller is that Cooper Kupp (ankle) left the game late, so Stafford could be without his top wideout -- and seemingly only reliable receiver -- next Sunday against the Buccaneers. With or without Kupp, it will be a tough matchup for Stafford against a defense that ranks sixth in yards allowed to opposing quarterbacks (194.0 per game).
