Derrick Gore RB | WAS
Derrick Gore: Reverts to practice squad
Washington reverted Gore to its practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Gore was elevated to the active roster for Thursday's loss to Chicago and served as the Commanders' third running back in the place of Chris Rodriguez (illness). Gore played seven snaps on offense and 18 on special teams without registering any stats. He could be elevated again to face Atlanta in Week 6 if Rodriguez needs to miss a third straight game.

Kyren Williams RB | LAR
Rams' Kyren Williams: Cleared to play
Williams (hip) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Philadelphia.
Williams hurt his hip in an overtime win over the Colts last week but never was expected to miss Sunday's matchup with the Eagles. He progressed from non-participation Wednesday to limited Thursday to a full practice Friday to close out the week. Ronnie Rivers took 11 touches for 57 yards from scrimmage last week, but overall Williams has dominated his team's RB snaps, carries and targets in a way that few other backs around the league can claim. It's the type of workload that keeps him on the RB1 map even with the Rams potentially down two starting offensive linemen (RG Joe Noteboom - out, LT Alaric Jackson - questionable) against one of the better defensive fronts in the league.

Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Packers' Aaron Jones: Limited in practice again
Jones (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Friday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Jones returned from a two-week absence last Thursday and got only six touches for 14 yards in a 34-20 loss to the Lions. He's well on his way to suiting up again this Monday in Las Vegas, where he'll presumably occupy a much larger role. Ryan Wood of USA Today noted Friday that Jones' hamstring injury didn't seem to be slowing him down at practice, with the RB sprinting and running full-speed routes without any sign of an issue.

Javonte Williams RB | DAL
Broncos' Javonte Williams: Full practice, listed as questionable
Williams (quad) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets after practicing fully Friday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
After missing Wednesday's practice and being limited Thursday, Williams upgraded to full participation Friday, which has the running back trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Look for added context regarding his Week 5 status to arrive late Saturday or early Sunday once national reporters like Adam Schefter of ESPN and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network provide their weekly pregame injury updates.

Elijah Mitchell RB | NE
49ers' Elijah Mitchell: Won't play Sunday night
Mitchell (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday night's game against Dallas, Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee reports.
Christian McCaffrey figures to dominate backfield snaps in any case, given that Sunday's game could end up making the difference between a bye week and a wild-card game in January. Mitchell had 19 touches over the first three weeks of the season before the knee injury sidelined him, but even that limited workload largely was earned in the late stages of blowouts. Most of the fantasy appeal at this point is based on what Mitchell might do in the event of a McCaffrey injury, rather than any hope of the San Francisco backfield supporting two fantasy starters at the same time (something that looked possible at one point last winter).

Zack Moss RB | CIN
Colts' Zack Moss: Role could shift if Taylor plays
Moss could move to a timeshare or backup role Week 5 against the Titans with Jonathan Taylor (ankle) listed as questionable for Sunday's game.
Taylor still needs to be activated from the reserve/PUP list, but a decision on adding him to the active roster will come Saturday. If Taylor is activated and deemed healthy enough to play, it's not clear how much playing time he'll get. Moss could work anywhere from a small backup role to being the primary running back again if Taylor is eased into action.

Jonathan Taylor RB | IND
Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Deemed questionable for Sunday
The Colts list Taylor (ankle) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Taylor was able to practice fully this week, but in order for the running back to play this weekend, the Colts must activate him from the reserve/PUP list ahead of Saturday's deadline to do so in advance of Week 5 action. Per Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star when asked if Taylor would play Sunday, coach Shane Steichen said, "We'll see." The fact that Taylor has been deemed questionable by the team suggests that it's not a lock that he'll be activated to face Tennessee, but if he does end up suiting up he'd reenter a backfield that's been led capably out of the gate by Zack Moss, a context that could potentially result in an initial timeshare.
-
Keaontay Ingram RB | KC
Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Questionable for Week 5
Ingram (neck) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Bengals, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Ingram missed Wednesday's practice before managing back-to-back limited sessions to wrap up Week 5 prep. It remains to be seen whether or not his absence is contained to one game or extends to two, but his availability won't be confirmed until 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. If Ingram is sidelined again, Emari Demercado will serve as the Cardinals' No. 2 running back behind James Conner.

Saquon Barkley RB | PHI
Giants' Saquon Barkley: Questionable after another LP
Barkley remained limited at practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Miami, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The combination of a 'questionable' tag and three straight limited practices gives Barkley a real chance to play, whereas last week he was a long shot heading into Monday Night Football. If nothing else, the schedule is more favorable for fantasy managers this week, with Big Blue scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff in Miami. There's a chance Barkley plays less than usual if he suits up, as it'll be his first game back from a right high-ankle sprain and could feature an additional challenge in the form of hot weather in southern Florida. On top of that, the Giants have ruled out their starting left tackle (Andrew Thomas - hamstring), starting center (John Michael Schmitz - shoulder) and top interior O-line backup (Shane Lemieux - groin).

Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Listed as questionable
Stevenson (thigh) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints after practicing in a limited fashion this week.
Stevenson is one of 10 players listed as questionable by New England, but the fact that the running back practiced all week would seem to give him a solid chance of being available for Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. If, however, Stevenson ends up limited or out this weekend, added Week 5 opportunities would be available for Ezekiel Elliott, with Ty Montgomery available in a change-of-pace role.
