Jones carried the ball five times for nine yards and caught both his targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 38-3 loss to the Saints.

The Packers couldn't get anything going offensively in the game and had to abandon their ground game in the second half, rendering Jones almost invisible. He didn't even wind up leading Green Bay in rushing, as AJ Dillon scraped together 19 yards on four carries. Jones should be able to shake off this dreadful performance at home in Week 2 while facing a Lions defense he amassed 311 scrimmage yards and three TDs against in two meetings last year.

Montgomery rushed 16 times for 108 yards and a touchdown while hauling in his lone target for 10 more yards in Sunday's 34-14 loss to the Rams.

Montgomery was the only Chicago player on offense to have any sort of success against a stout Rams defense. In fact, he did most of his damage in the first half before a one-sided game script forced the Bears to begin airing it out. Montgomery did see the lion's share of carries as expected -- with Damien Williams (six carries) being the only other back to run the ball -- so higher-volume games could be in store if the Bears can keep games closer. The Bengals are on tap for Montgomery and the Bears next Sunday.

Edwards-Helaire carried the ball 14 times for 43 yards and caught all three of his targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 33-29 win over the Browns.

The second-year back's longest run went for only nine yards, as the Browns' defense bottled things up on the ground. No other Kansas City back got more than one carry, however, so at least Edwards-Helaire is very clearly the top option in the backfield. Despite the floor provided by his touch volume, he could struggle to post better numbers on the road against the Ravens in Week 2.

Gaskin carried the ball nine times for 49 yards in Sunday's Week 1 victory against the Patriots. He added five receptions for 27 yards.

Gaskin led the Miami backfield with nine carries, though Malcolm Brown and Salvon Ahmed combined for eight carries. He was fairly efficient with those touches, recording gains of 15 yards and an additional carry of eight yards. Gaskin also produced well as a receiver, as he led the team with five receptions and successfully hauled in all of his targets. Though he may not see workhorse volume, Gaskin appears to be set for a significant role in Week 2 against Buffalo.

Chubb carried the ball 15 times for 83 yards and two touchdowns and caught both his targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 33-29 loss to Kansas City.

The 25-year-old found the end zone twice in the first half as the Browns built a 22-10 lead, but the defense couldn't keep Patrick Mahomes down for a full 60 minutes. Chubb saw 17 touches to Kareem Hunt's nine on the afternoon, a ratio that would provide a big boost to Chubb's fantasy potential if it holds for the rest of 2021. He could be poised for another big game in Week 2 at home against the Texans.

Williams recorded 14 rushes for 45 yards in Sunday's Week 1 win over the Giants. He added one reception for -4 yards.

Williams didn't have an impressive regular-season debut based on the box score. However, he mixed in with Melvin Gordon beginning on the team's first offensive possession and ultimately out-carried the veteran 14-11. The Broncos' coaching staff suggested that Williams would play in all situations and game scripts leading up to the contest, and his usage Sunday supported that statement. Williams will now look to improve from a statistical standpoint in a Week 2 matchup against the Jaguars.

Kamara rushed 20 times for 83 yards while catching three of four targets for eight yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 38-3 victory over Green Bay.

While Kamara was ultimately held in check by his standards, he was clearly the centerpiece of the offense as Jameis Winston played off him to throw five touchdowns. Not only did Kamara secure one of them on a tough screen pass near the goal line, the running back also picked up a number of key first downs along the way that kept possessions alive. Meanwhile, Tony Jones played a smaller role than Latavius Murray did the past couple of years, as nearly half of his 11 carries were at the end of the fourth quarter as the Saints were running out the clock. With one of the highest usage rates in the league, Kamara should remain a top fantasy play on the road in Week 2 against Carolina.

Harris carried the ball 23 times for 100 yards in Sunday's Week 1 loss to the Dolphins. He added two receptions for 17 yards.

Harris dominated the Patriots' backfield, accounting for 23 of the team's 30 rushing attempts. He largely handled the duties well, as he picked up 35 yards on the game's first play from scrimmage and also chipped in a chunk gain of 11 yards later in the contest. While the stat sheet reflects a relatively positive opening game for Harris, his box score production could be overshadowed by a fumble late in the fourth quarter that came deep in Dolphins territory and cost the Patriots a chance to win the game. That miscue could cost Harris work heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Jets, though the team lacks a proven option that is capable of serving a similar role.

Gordon carried the ball 11 times for 101 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 1 win over the Giants. He added three receptions for 17 yards.

While Gordon got the first carry of the game for Denver, he alternated work with rookie Javonte Williams for much of the game. However, Gordon got the better end of the stat sheet, in large part due to a 70-yard rushing touchdown that came late in the fourth quarter to clinch a win for the Broncos. Moving forward, it appears that both Gordon and Williams will be heavily involved in the team's rushing offense, which could make it difficult for either to produce consistently in the short term.

Jacobs (illness) has been downgraded to questionable for Monday's game against the Ravens, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.

Jacobs was cleared of a toe injury Saturday, but his status has been thrown back in doubt due to an illness. If the Raiders' early down workhorse is unable to suit up Monday, offseason additions Kenyan Drake and Peyton Barber would split carries in Vegas' backfield, with Drake likely taking on the lead role. A final verdict on Jacobs' status likely won't come down until shortly prior to kickoff.
