Jonathan Taylor RB | IND
Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Another disappointing effort in win
Taylor rushed seven times for 12 yards and brought in both his targets for 25 yards in the Colts' 34-17 win over the Titans on Thursday night.
Taylor once again struggled to get anything going on the ground, and he notably checked in third in carries behind Nyheim Hines (12) and Jordan Wilkins (eight). The rookie committed a fumble that was returned for a touchdown in the Week 9 loss to the Ravens, so his continued diminished role Thursday may be partly attributable to that miscue. Taylor has now logged single-digit carries in back-to-back games for the first time as a pro, leaving his fantasy prospects mixed ahead of a Week 11 interconference matchup against the Packers on Sunday, Nov. 22.

Nyheim Miller-Hines RB | NO
Colts' Nyheim Hines: Shines as lead back in win
Hines rushed 12 times for 70 yards and a touchdown and brought in five of six targets for 45 yards and another score in the Colts' 34-17 win over the Titans on Thursday night.
Hines outpaced backfield mates Jordan Wilkins and Jonathan Taylor by four and five carries, respectively, and he was easily the most efficient of the trio while gaining 5.8 yards per rush. The third-year pro's number of rushing touches represented a season high, and he now has three receiving touchdowns overall in the last three games courtesy of his 13-yard scoring grab in the second quarter Thursday. Hines' strong night notwithstanding, it's difficult to pin down coach Frank Reich's running back usage from week to week, leaving the speedy back with nebulous fantasy prospects going into a Week 11 interconference showdown against the Packers on Sunday, Nov. 22.

Derrick Henry RB | BAL
Titans' Derrick Henry: Eclipses 100-yard mark in loss
Henry rushed 19 times for 103 yards and brought in one of two targets for six yards in the Titans' 34-17 loss to the Colts on Thursday night.
Henry's numbers were about the only bright spot for the Titans on a forgettable night overall, with the star running back posting his fifth 100-yard effort of the campaign. Henry appeared to have his shoulder lightly examined on the sideline at one point in the second half, but any time he missed appeared to simply be due to rest purposes. The Pro Bowl running back has now averaged over 5.0 yards per carry against the Colts' normally stingy defense the last three times he's faced Indianapolis dating back to last season, and he'll look for similar success against a Ravens team he trampled for 195 yards in January's AFC Divisional Round Game when the Titans take on Baltimore in a Week 11 showdown on Sunday, Nov. 22.

Austin Ekeler RB | WAS
Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Progresses to running
Ekeler (hamstring/knee) has progressed to straight-line running, per the running back's personal Instagram.
Ekeler has been sidelined since suffering a Grade 2 hamstring strain and hyperextended knee in his left leg Week 4. Expected to be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks, the latter end of that timetable coincides with this Sunday, but the Chargers have yet to open his 21-day window to be activated from IR. Still, because Ekeler noted "the time draws near" in his social media post, he appears to be closing in on his return to action.

Travis Homer RB | PIT
Seahawks' Travis Homer: Limited by knee injury
Homer (knee) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
With Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) still missing practice, Homer is the most experienced 'healthy' member of the backfield. Still, Homer's practice reps were capped Thursday after a full session one day earlier. Considering the situation, Friday's injury report could add clarity to the breakdown of the Seahawks' Week 10 backfield, which may again be paced by DeeJay Dallas if Carson and Hyde are sidelined and Homer is inhibited by his health concern.

Anthony McFarland RB | MIA
Steelers' Anthony McFarland: Can't practice Thursday
McFarland (illness) was a non-participant during the Steelers' practice session Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
This development is damaging news to the prospects of McFarland suiting up Sunday against Cincinnati, as Dale Lolley of DKPittsburghSports.com notes that coach Mike Tomlin has a tendency to sit rookies who miss practice throughout the week. McFarland fielded five offensive touches for a total of 22 scrimmage yards last Sunday at Dallas, but a sudden appearance on the injury report places the 21-year-old's status in question for Week 10.
-
Matt Breida RB | SF
Dolphins' Matt Breida: Another limited practice
Breida (hamstring) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
Breida's back-to-back limited sessions are certainly emblematic of recovery progress, given that he couldn't practice in any capacity last week. He can't yet be considered a lock to suit up against the Chargers on Sunday, though it does seem like Breida could be trending in the right direction. Health permitting, Breida will work to rejoin a backfield that was led by Jordan Howard and Salvon Ahmed last week.
-
Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Cardinals' Kenyan Drake: Limited again Thursday
Drake (ankle) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Drake maintained his activity level from Wednesday's session as he seeks to get past a slight tear of a ligament in his ankle and return to action. There's no telling if he's doing enough to appease the Cardinals' medical staff, but Friday's injury report could hint at whether an appearance is possible Sunday against the Bills. Chase Edmonds is in line for an expanded role if Drake is unable to go this weekend.
-
David Montgomery RB | HOU
Bears' David Montgomery: Can't practice Thursday
Montgomery (concussion) is not participating in Thursday's practice.
Montgomery suffered a concussion during Sunday's loss to the Titans, and he'll thus need to fully clear the league's five-step protocol for head injuries before being cleared to retake the field. That the Bears' next matchup will come in the form of a Monday night tilt against Minnesota will provide Montgomery an extra day for recovery, but he'll almost certainly need to resume practicing in some capacity Friday or Saturday for any chance of playing Week 10.
