Bucky Irving RB | TB
Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: No return to practice
Irving (shoulder) didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough.
His absence comes as no surprise after multiple reports last week suggested Irving wasn't expected to play in Weeks 5 or 6. Rachaad White filled in with an 81 percent snap share and 18 touches in a Week 5 win at Seattle, producing 71 total yards and a pair of touchdowns along the way. Early signs point to a similar role for White this Sunday against San Francisco, although the Buccaneers haven't said anything to rule Irving out just yet.

Tyjae Spears RB | TEN
Titans' Tyjae Spears: Limited in practice
Spears (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports.
This is likely just maintenance for the ankle injury that sent Spears to injured reserve for Weeks 1-4. He returned this past Sunday to play 25 percent of offensive snaps in a 22-21 win at Arizona, taking four carries for 14 yards and finishing without a target on a 26 percent route share. Spears could earn more work as the year progresses, but Tony Pollard has a strong case to remain the lead runner and also get a decent chunk of the pass snaps. The Titans head to Las Vegas this weekend for a matchup between last-place teams.

Cam Skattebo RB | NYG
Giants' Cam Skattebo: Could share work with Tracy
Skattebo will have more competition for playing time with Tyrone Tracy cleared to return from a shoulder injury for Thursday's game against the Eagles.
Over the past three weeks, Skattebo averaged a 67.9 percent snap share, 16.7 carries and 5.7 targets per game, producing 315 total yards (105 per game) and a touchdown in the process. His workload projection declines with Tracy back in the lineup, but to what extent is unclear. Back in Week 2, when Tracy was healthy, Skattebo played 53 percent of snaps and took 13 touches for 59 yards and a TD in an overtime loss at Dallas (Tracy had five carries and five targets on a 42 percent snap share). One week later, Tracy got seven carries and three targets on the first two drives against Kansas City, only to miss the rest of the game (and the following two weeks) with a shoulder injury. That's when Skattebo started to dominate New York's backfield work, although his efficiency declined in Weeks 4-5 after a big night versus the Chiefs in Week 3. The big pictures is that Skattebo's workload floor for Week 6 is much lower than what his recent numbers might seem to suggest.

Miles Sanders RB | DAL
Cowboys' Miles Sanders: Limited in practice Wednesday
Sanders (knee/ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Sanders didn't practice at all prior to being ruled out for Dallas' win over the Jets in Week 5, so it's notable to see that he was upgraded to limited activity. If the veteran running back is able to gain clearance in time to suit up Sunday against the Panthers, he'll join Jaydon Blue as a reserve option behind No. 1 running back Javonte Williams.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Injures ankle at practice
Coach Kellen Moore said Kamara hurt his ankle in practice Wednesday, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Per Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football, Kamara officially was limited Wednesday, and Moore added that it's a "little something." Kamara's status thus bears watching as the week goes on to get a sense of his odds to suit up Sunday against the Patriots. If Kamara is inhibited or sidelined this weekend, Kendre Miller would take on an expanded role in the Saints offense.

Jaylen Warren RB | PIT
Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Logs full practice
Warren (knee) practiced fully Wednesday.
Warren was inactive for the Steelers' 24-21 win over the Vikings in Dublin on Sept. 28, but following his team's bye week, the running back is poised to return to action Sunday against the Browns. In Warren's absence in Week 4, Kenneth Gainwell carried 19 times for 99 yards and two TDs and caught all six of his targets for 35 yards, an effort that should keep him involved in Pittsburgh's Week 6 offense. However, assuming no setbacks, Warren should reclaim his lead role this weekend. In three games to date, he's logged 43 carries for 132 yards and caught 11 of his 12 targets for 142 yards and a TD.

Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR
Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Still not practicing
Hubbard (calf) didn't practice Wednesday.
Hubbard hasn't practiced since initially showing up on the Panthers' first Week 5 injury report last Wednesday due to a calf issue. On a positive note, he was seen working on the side this Wednesday, per David Newton of ESPN.com, so his health appears to be improving. In the end, though, Hubbard likely will need to mix into drills Thursday and/or Friday in order to have a chance to play Sunday against the Cowboys. With Hubbard out this past Sunday versus the Dolphins, fellow RB Rico Dowdle reeled off 206 yards and one touchdown on 23 carries to go with three catches (on four targets) for 28 yards.

Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR
Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Working on side field Wednesday
Hubbard (calf) is present at practice Wednesday and working on the side field, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Hubbard didn't practice at all en route to being ruled out Week 5 against the Dolphins, and he may be listed as a non-participant again Wednesday if his reps on the side field aren't enough to qualify as 'limited' activity. With Rico Dowdle having gashed Miami to the tune of 206 rushing yards, of course, Carolina has no reason to rush Hubbard back before he's fully healthy. If Hubbard is forced to sit out again during Sunday's matchup against the Cowboys, Dowdle will get another chance to take advantage of a vulnerable opposing defense.

Tyler Goodson RB | IND
Colts' Tyler Goodson: Misses Wednesday's practice
Goodson (groin) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Goodson sustained a groin injury in the Colts' Week 4 win loss to the Rams and hasn't returned to practice since. The Iowa product has played just 24 snaps (16 on special teams, eight on offense) across two appearances this season, rushing twice for six yards. He likely needs to upgrade to at least limited practice Thursday or Friday to have a chance at suiting up for the Week 6 matchup against the Cardinals.

Jaylen Warren RB | PIT
Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Practicing again
Warren (knee) is practicing Wednesday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.
Warren has a sleeve over his injured knee but appears to be going through drills at full speed. He returned to practice Monday after a Week 5 bye and Week 4 absence. Kenneth Gainwell stepped up with 25 touches for 134 yards and two TDs in the Week 4 win over Minnesota, potentially earning a larger role moving forward (relative to his limited usage in Weeks 2-3).
