  • Tyler Badie RB | DEN

Broncos' Tyler Badie: Minimal production in 2025 campaign

Badie ended the 2025 regular season with eight carries for 23 yards, adding 19 receptions on 31 targets for 141 yards across 16 games.

Badie was mostly an afterthought in 2025, with teammates J.K. Dobbins (foot) and RJ Harvey stealing the show for the vast majority of the season. The second-year running back was used sparingly out of the backfield, primarily as a pass catcher in hurry-up situations. Not surprisingly, Badie played a complementary role behind Dobbins and Harvey this season. After Dobbins landed on IR, teammate Jaleel McLaughlin leaped Badie on the depth chart as well. The 25-year-old Badie will become an exclusive rights free agent this offseason, so if Denver offers him a tender, he'll be back with the Broncos next season. If Denver decides to not make the offer, the Missouri product will become an unrestricted free agent and could join another squad's running-back rotation as a depth option.

  • Chargers' Omarion Hampton: Logs another missed practice

Hampton (ankle) was listed as a non-participant in practice Thursday, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.

Per Smith, offensive coordinator Greg Roman previously noted that Hampton would be "involved some" in Thursday's session, but that didn't equate to the running back -- who also didn't practice Wednesday -- being deemed an official participant. Hampton now has one more opportunity to log practice reps before the Chargers assign injury designations in advance of Sunday night's playoff opener against the Patriots. If he ends up limited or out this weekend, added backfield opportunities would be available for Kimani Vidal, Hassan Haskins and Jaret Patterson.

  • Jaylen Warren RB | PIT

Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Misses practice Thursday

Warren (illness) didn't practice Thursday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

With a 'DNP' to start the practice week, Warren's status now merits monitoring in advance of Monday night's playoff opener against the Texans. The running back has two more chances to practice before the Steelers assign game designations for that contest Saturday.

  • Chargers' Omarion Hampton: Expected to be involved in practice

Offensive coordinator Greg Roman said that Hampton (ankle) will be "involved some" in practice Thursday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.

The Chargers' upcoming injury report will reveal the official participation level of Hampton, who didn't practice Wednesday. As for the running back's status for Sunday's playoff opener against the Patriots, Roman noted, "We're going to wait and see on that. He's working through his process with the medical group. He's engaged. He's ready mentally with the game plan."

  • Jawhar Jordan RB | HOU

Texans' Jawhar Jordan: Skips practice with high-ankle sprain

Jordan didn't participate in Thursday's practice due to a high-ankle sprain, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Though Houston has a longer turnaround for its playoff opener with a Monday matchup versus the Steelers, Jordan was a spectator to begin the week of prep after he was forced out of this past Sunday's regular-season finale against the Colts due to the injury. Before getting hurt, Jordan appeared to have overtaken Nick Chubb as the preferred backup option at running back behind Woody Marks, but the second-year player out of Louisville now looks like he could be at risk of being sidelined for the wild-card round. Jordan will have two more chances to potentially practice this week before the Texans decide whether he'll take a designation into Monday's game.

  • Rasheen Ali RB | BAL

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Modest step forward in 2025

Ali finished the year with seven carries for 24 yards along with nine catches for 68 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets. He also compiled 763 kickoff-return yards.

Ali was more involved in Year 2 than he was as a rookie, but he was still a ways away from making weekly impacts. Baltimore, of course, leans heavily on Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson for much of its rushing attack, so opportunities are inherently limited for depth pieces like Ali. Justice Hill's injury late in the season could have opened a door, but Keaton Mitchell absorbed the bulk of the snaps. Ali enters 2026 with a similar outlook -- established veterans stack the depth chart ahead of him. If Keaton Mitchell is re-signed, Ali will have several hurdles in his way of seeing consistent playing time.

  • Broncos' Jaleel McLaughlin: Modest third season in Denver

McLaughlin ended the 2025 regular season with 37 carries for 187 yards and a touchdown, adding four receptions on six targets for 27 yards across eight games.

McLaughlin played just 85 offensive snaps in eight appearances during the 2025 campaign, playing just 14 total offensive snaps across two contests before Denver's Week 12 bye. The 25-year-old running back only saw his role increase once J.K. Dobbins landed on injured reserve with a foot injury, though his increased playing time did not amount to much in the way of significant production. Down the stretch, head coach Sean Payton hinted we could see McLaughlin get more involved in the rotation behind rookie RJ Harvey, yet Harvey continued to handle the bulk of the backfield work as the season progressed. McLaughlin will enter the 2026 offseason as a restricted free agent, so the Broncos could retain him if they can match an offer from another team. With that said, Dobbins will become a restricted free agent and Tyler Badie is set to be an exclusive-rights free agent this offseason. With Harvey being the only back under contract for next season, the Broncos will have some decisions to make regarding their running back room ahead of the 2026 campaign. If brought back by Denver, McLaughlin would continue to operate as a solid depth piece for the Broncos' rushing attack.

  • Ty Johnson RB | BUF

Bills' Ty Johnson: Remains non-participant Thursday

Johnson (ankle) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.

Head coach Sean McDermott labeled Johnson day-to-day Wednesday, but the running back was unable to practice Thursday after being deemed a non-participant during Wednesday's walk-through. Johnson's last opportunity to practice before Sunday's wild-card round game against the Jaguars will be Friday. If Johnson's unavailable Sunday, Ray Davis could get more opportunities to spell James Cook against Jacksonville's stout run defense.

  • Nate Carter RB | ATL

Falcons' Nathan Carter: Minimal offensive work in 2025

Carter rushed nine times for 60 yards across seven regular-season games in 2025.

Carter, an undrafted rookie from Michigan State, was active for just seven games this season, as he was buried behind Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier in the Falcons' backfield. Seven of Carter's nine carries on the season came in the Week 3 loss to the Panthers, a game in which Atlanta was shut out. With Allgeier set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, Carter could have the opportunity to compete for the Falcons' No. 2 running back role ahead of the 2026 season.

  • Kalel Mullings RB | TEN

Titans' Kalel Mullings: Three carries in 2025

Mullings recorded three rushes for seven yards across nine games for the Titans during the 2025 season.

Mullings was selected in the sixth round of the 2025 draft and managed to stick on the Titans' roster all season. He hurt his ankle in Week 1 and was sidelined until Week 12. Mullings primarily contributed on special teams from there, logging only 12 of his 149 total snaps in his rookie campaign on offense.
