Kene Nwangwu RB | NYJ
Jets' Kene Nwangwu: Officially placed on IR
The Jets placed Nwangwu (hand) on injured reserve Saturday, Ethan Greenberg and Eric Allen of the Jets' official site report.
Nwangwu is dealing with a hand injury, and with New York having just four games remaining on the regular-season slate and already eliminated from playoff contention, his campaign has come to an end. The fourth-year tailback will finish his first season with the Jets with no offensive touches over two games, but he made an impact as a returner, taking a kickoff 99 yards to paydirt in the Week 13 loss to Seattle. Xavier Gipson will likely take over as the Jets' lead kick returner with Nwangwu now sidelined.

Tony Pollard RB | TEN
Titans' Tony Pollard: Likely to suit up Sunday
Pollard, who is questionable for Sunday's matchup versus Cincinnati due to an ankle injury, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Pollard entered the weekend deemed questionable after missing the Titans' first two practices of the week before upgrading to limited participation Friday. The veteran running back looks like he'll be able to play through the ankle injury and avoid missing his first game of the season, though official word on his status won't arrive until Tennessee posts its inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Pollard needs 63 rushing yards to reach the 1,000-yard mark on the ground for the third consecutive campaign.

Travis Homer RB | PIT
Bears' Travis Homer: Available to play Monday
Homer (head) is available and will suit up for Monday's game against the Vikings.
Considering that D'Andre Swift (groin) is questionable for Monday and Roschon Johnson (concussion) is out, Homer could be in line for a bigger role out of the Bears' backfield. The six-year veteran has appeared in nine games this season, tallying three carries for 16 yards and three catches (on three targets) for 11 yards.

George Holani RB | SEA
Seahawks' George Holani: Promoted to active roster
Holani was elevated from the practice squad Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Packers, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Holani was active for the Week 14 contest against the Cardinals, catching his lone target for minus-1 yard, and he should add depth in the backfield once again Sunday. Holani is slated to serve as the Seahawks' No. 3 running back behind Zach Charbonnet and Kenny McIntosh once again, as Kenneth Walker (calf) is doubtful and unlikely to suit up Sunday.

Mike Boone RB | MIA
Panthers' Mike Boone: Elevated from practice squad
The Panthers have elevated Boone from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
The Panthers will be without Jonathon Brooks (knee), Miles Sanders (ankle) and Raheem Blackshear (chest), so Boone will operate as the No. 2 running back behind Chuba Hubbard on Sunday. Boone has four carries for seven yards across two games this season.
-
Raheem Blackshear RB | NYJ
Panthers' Raheem Blackshear: Downgraded to out
Blackshear (chest) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
The absence of Blackshear considerably limits the backfield options for the Panthers, as Jonathon Brooks (knee) and Miles Sanders (ankle) are also on injured reserve. Mike Boone, who was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, is expected to serve as the backup to Chuba Hubbard, although Velus Jones could also compete for touches.
-
Breece Hall RB | NYJ
Jets' Breece Hall: Expected to suit up Sunday
Hall, who is questionable for Sunday's matchup versus Jacksonville due to a knee injury, is likely to play, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Hall missed last Sunday's loss to Miami due to the knee issue and sat out the Jets' first two practices this week. However, he returned to a full session Friday and now seems set to return to action against the Jaguars. Both Braelon Allen (11 carries for 43 yards and four catches for 38 yards) and Isaiah Davis (10 carries for 40 yards with a touchdown and three receptions for 27 yards) got increased opportunities last week, but unless Hall's workload is managed Sunday, neither is expected to see the same type of workload this Sunday.
-
Emari Demercado RB | KC
Cardinals' Emari Demercado: Moves to IR
The Cardinals placed Demercado (back) on injured reserve Saturday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
Demercado has been dealing with a back injury since late November, though he had been able to play through the issue until this week. He was ruled out Friday for Sunday's matchup against New England, and one day later the 25-year-old running back has landed on IR. Demercado isn't eligible to return during the regular season, so Arizona would need to get hot and make the playoffs in order for him to have a chance of suiting up again during the current campaign.
-
D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Bears' D'Andre Swift: Listed as questionable for Monday
Swift (groin) is listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Vikings.
Swift managed to practice in limited fashion Saturday, an upgrade after failing to practice either of the past two days. That's effectively the same cadence the fifth-year back had last week before ultimately suiting up against the 49ers, where he tallied just 38 yards on 14 carries and barely factored in the passing game. Chicago's offense fell woefully behind in that contest almost immediately, but it's possible the Vikings will put their divisional rival in a similar game-script bind come Monday. Roschon Johnson (concussion) is already ruled out, so if Swift was ultimately unable to play then Travis Homer projects to see a heavy workload, with Darrynton Evans also factoring in.
-
Roschon Johnson RB | CHI
Bears' Roschon Johnson: Out once again
Johnson (concussion) has been ruled out and will not play Monday against the Vikings.
Johnson has now missed the past two contests due to a concussion suffered during the Thanksgiving game against the Lions. With D'Andre Swift (groin) once again questionable for the contest, Travis Homer and Darrynton Evans could see additional looks.
