  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Looks unlikely to play Sunday

Kamara (ankle) isn't expected to play Sunday against the Falcons, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Kamara didn't practice this past week, with previous reports suggesting that the running back was viewed as a game-time decision for the contest. Confirmation of Kamara's Week 18 status will arrive once the Saints' inactives are posted 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, but if he is indeed unavailable, Jamaal Williams would be a candidate to serve as New Orleans' lead back, while Taysom Hill, Kendre Miller (ankle/illness) and practice-squad call-up Jordan Mims would also be in the mix for added snaps versus Atlanta.

  • Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ

Bears' Khalil Herbert: Likely to play Sunday

Herbert (back/personal) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Packers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Herbert remains listed as questionable for the contest, but he looks like he'll be formally cleared to play when the Bears release their inactive list approximately 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. He was added to the Bears' Week 18 injury report Thursday after practicing as a limited participant and then missed Friday's practice entirely, but the expectation is that Herbert will be ready to handle the lead role out of the backfield for Chicago. Herbert has delivered his best two rushing performances of the season over the past two weeks in wins over Arizona and Atlanta, carrying 38 times for 236 yards and two touchdowns.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Trending toward game-time call

Kamara (ankle) remains listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Falcons and is viewed as a game-time decision, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Saints head coach Dennis Allen suggested as much after Friday's practice, but at this stage, Kamara may be more likely than not to sit out the regular-season finale after he was listed as a non-participant on each of the Saints' three practice reports this week. Kamara will presumably be put through a pregame workout before the Saints make a determination if he's fit to play through the ankle sprain, but even if the running back is deemed active ahead of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, he could handle a more limited role than usual. Jamaal Williams would serve as New Orleans' lead back if Kamara isn't available Sunday, while Taysom Hill, Kendre Miller (ankle) and practice-squad call-up Jordan Mims could also be in the mix for carries behind Williams.

  • Isiah Pacheco RB | DET

Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Unlikely to play Sunday

Pacheco (quadricep/shoulder) remains questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers but isn't expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Pacheco closed Week 18 prep with a pair of limited practices and likely would be able to handle his usual role as the Chiefs' lead back Sunday if necessary, but the coaching staff appears content to hold him out while Kansas City is already locked in as the No. 3 seed in the AFC playoffs. Rapoport suggests that Pacheco might only be used in an emergency, so the Chiefs could still elect to keep the 24-year-old active for the contest, even though he's not expected to play. Clyde Edwards-Helaire and La'Mical Perine look poised to absorb all of the snaps at running back in the regular-season finale.

  • Zack Moss RB | CIN

Colts' Zack Moss: Healthy finish to solid season

Moss (forearm) carried the ball six times for 30 yards and was not targeted as a receiver in Saturday's 23-19 loss to the Texans.

Jonathan Taylor (ankle) literally carried the offense with a 30/188/1 rushing line Saturday, but his brief exit near the end of the third quarter allowed Moss to earn a few extra carries as the Colts' primary backup. The latter was returning from a two-game layoff from an injury of his own, so it was a positive sign to see him produce in a limited role to end the season. Moss was an early season stud in fantasy while filling in for Taylor -- who was holding out over a contract dispute -- producing 445 out of the backup's 764 rushing yards this year over his first four games. Moss should be a desirable free agent this upcoming offseason after averaging 4.3 yards per carry and producing 986 combined yards and seven touchdowns in a hybrid backup/starting role with the Colts.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Not expected to suit up Sunday

Mostert (knee) is unlikely to play in Sunday's game against Buffalo, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Mostert entered the weekend with a questionable tag after managing just one limited practice during Week 18 prep. Despite the stakes of Sunday's matchup versus the Bills -- the winner will take the AFC East title -- the running back appears in line to miss his second straight game to close out the regular season. The Dolphins have already clinched a playoff spot, so it bears wondering whether Mostert would attempt to play Sunday had Miami been facing a win-or-go-home scenario. Regardless, Pelissero suggests that Mostert "should be ready" once the postseason begins. In Mostert's likely absence Sunday, De'Von Achane should see the bulk of work out of Miami's backfield, while Jeff Wilson may also log a fair amount of offensive snaps.

  • Texans' Devin Singletary: Scores vital touchdown

Singletary rushed the ball 24 times for 63 yards in Saturday's 23-19 win over the Colts. He added one reception on one target for two yards.

Singletary was the only Texans running back to record a carry in the game. He was highly inefficient with the opportunity, as he averaged only 2.6 yards per rush and his longest gain went for only seven yards. Nevertheless, he scored the game-winning touchdown with just over six minutes remaining on a three-yard scamper into the end zone. Singletary will enter the postseason as Houston's clear lead back and should get a heavy workload regardless of the team's wild-card round matchup.

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Valiant effort to end campaign

Taylor (ankle) finished with 30 carries for 188 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for eight receiving yards in Saturday's 23-19 loss to Houston.

It's incredible to think that Taylor could have had an even bigger rushing night had he not missed a portion of Saturday's action due to an ankle injury. The star tailback carried a stagnant Indianapolis offense throughout the contest, generating his first game of 100-plus rushing yards this season in the process. The Colts' season came to a disappointing end after the offense failed to convert on fourth-and-one while keeping Taylor -- who gained the previous nine yards on three straight rushes -- on the sidelines. The 24-year-old will conclude a holdout-shortened season with 894 yards from scrimmage and eight total touchdowns across 10 active games. Taylor was clearly playing through the ankle injury he sustained, so more news is likely to come on that front as the Colts prepare to enter the offseason.

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Back in Saturday's game

Taylor (ankle) returned to Saturday's game versus the Texans, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.

Taylor initially was deemed questionable to return due to a heel injury, but immediately before he reentered the contest he was deemed doubtful with an ankle injury. He now will look to build upon the 23 touches for 173 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD he had before hitting the locker room for half of one quarter.

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Exits with heel injury Saturday

Taylor departed Saturday's game against the Texans due to a heel injury, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.

Taylor looked like his vintage self before heading to the locker room near the end of the third quarter, reeling off 165 yards on 21 carries and hauling in both targets for eight yards. His contributions on the ground included a 49-yard touchdown run, as he outran the entire Houston defense. Zack Moss likely will lead the Colts backfield for as long as Taylor is sidelined, with Tyler Goodson getting any RB reps that linger.
