The Bears claimed Holtz off waivers from the Redskins on Wednesday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.

Holtz entered the league in 2016 as an undrafted rookie out of Pittsburgh, and he made his NFL debut for the Redskins in Week 1 since Jordan Reed (concussion) was out. The Bears appear to be looking for similar depth for Trey Burton (groin) in their Week 2 matchup versus the Broncos.

Dickerson (quadriceps) did not practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Dickerson sat out Sunday's season-opening loss to the Cowboys and still isn't fully healthy. He'll likely need to return to practice Thursday or Friday to have a shot at suiting up Week 2 versus the Bills.

Kroft (foot) was limited at practice Wednesday.

Though he was inactive for the Bills' Week 1 win over the Jets, Kroft was seen going through a workout on the field prior to the contest. That activity coupled with his involvement in Wednesday's session is an encouraging sign, but Kroft's availability for Sunday's game against the Giants is still up in the air. If Kroft remains out for another week, Dawson Knox and Tommy Sweeney would be next in line for targets at tight end.

Henry's (knee) tibia plateau fracture could keep him sidelined for around 4-to-6 weeks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

With Henry out for at least the next few games, Virgil Green and Sean Culkin are next up in the team's tight-end pecking order. Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com notes that long-time Charger Antonio Gates "has not closed the door on a potential return," but it's unclear if Los Angeles intends to reach out to the 39-year-old.

Henry suffered a tibia plateau fracture to his left knee in Sunday's 30-24 overtime win over the Colts, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.

A timeline for Henry's return to action hasn't yet been determined, but it's clear that he's going to miss some game time. Next up on the Chargers' depth chart at tight end is Virgil Green, though it wouldn't be shocking if the team reached out to Antonio Gates if the veteran is interested in a reunion.

Oliver (hamstring) won't participate in Wednesday's practice, Phillip Heilman of The Athletic reports.

The rookie third-round pick missed Week 1's game versus the Chiefs, and he's trending toward the same status for Sunday's game versus the Texans. He'll need to get on the field in some capacity by Friday's practice in order to play, otherwise James O'Shaughnessy and Geoff Swaim will continue manning the top tight-end spots.

Smith caught his lone target for seven yards and added a 10-yard carry during Sunday's 43-13 win over the Browns.

Smith ended Sunday with 37 offensive snaps, eight more than Delanie Walker, but those snaps weren't nearly as valuable as Walker's for fantasy purposes. Walker averaged one touch per 5.6 snaps and scored twice, while Smith ended with a touch every 18.5 snaps and no scores. Walker has a well-established rapport with quarterback Marcus Mariota that Smith doesn't share. He's a poor option week to week.

Fumagalli was not targeted during Monday's 24-16 loss in Oakland.

The sophomore Wisconsin product was a distant third in snaps in his NFL debut, trailing rookie Noah Fant (52 snaps) and veteran Jeff Heuerman (21 snaps). The division of snaps may adjust in the coming weeks as Fant grows in comfort in the offense and Heuerman (shoulder) heals up, but Fumagalli is unlikely to get enough action to be of fantasy relevance week to week.

The Redskins waived Holtz on Tuesday, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.

Holtz was promoted to the active roster in time for the season opener Sunday and he managed to see 14 snaps on special teams. The 26-year-old's release is likely indicative of Jordan Reed's (concussion) status for Week 2. If Holtz clears waivers, he would likely be a good candidate to return to Washington's practice squad.

Minnesota waived Dillon on Tuesday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.

Dillon was active for Sunday's season opener against Atlanta, but he didn't see the field. The 22-year-old was waived to make room for center Brett Jones.
