Kroft caught a career-high three passes for 31 yards and scored for the first time as a pro in Sunday's 24-14 win at San Francisco.

Kroft did a good job filling in for starter Tyler Eifert, who missed the game due to a concussion. If Eifert is forced to miss another game next week at Denver, Kroft would likely see a handful of targets from second-year QB AJ McCarron.

Escobar suffered a torn right Achilles in Saturday's loss to the Jets, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Escobar finishes the season with just eight catches for 64 yards and a touchdown. He was not targeted before suffering the injury in the fourth quarter.

The Dolphins signed Thomas off the practice squad and to the active roster Wednesday, reports the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.

It looks like the Dolphins may have been worried that another team would poach Thomas from their practice squad so they signed him rather than risk losing him. Teams like Baltimore, Houston, and Dallas could all be in the market for a young QB to tutor. Thomas won't see any playing time with Miami but rather carry a clipboard behind Ryan Tannehill and Matt Moore.

Pettigrew (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.

After Pettigrew sustained a torn ACL Sunday at St. Louis, the move is merely a bookkeeping measure by the Lions intended to open up a spot on the 53-man roster. The organization will use it to sign a tight end, Bear Pascoe, who is known for his blocking.

Coffman re-signed with the Seahawks on Tuesday, NFL Network's Rand Getlin reports.

Coffman, a third-round selection in the 2009 NFL Draft, has spent time in the Tennessee and Seattle organizations this season. He'll merely provide depth as the No. 3 or 4 tight end, and he only has 14 receptions in 36 career games.

Pettigrew suffered a torn ACL during Sunday's game against the Rams, NFL.com reports.

Pettigrew's rookie season in 2009 was ended prematurely by a torn ACL, so the 30-year-old's latest knee injury Sunday is something he's experienced before. No matter, Pettigrew won't be pleased by having his season ended early, and his seven catches (on 15 targets) for 67 yards and one touchdown this season evidence his steeply-declining production. With Pettigrew out, the Lions will hope even more that second-year tight end Eric Ebron can capitalize on added reps.

Quarless (knee) did not play in Sunday's victory over the Cowboys.

Quarless resumed practicing a couple weeks ago, but he was apparently not ready for game action just yet, as he remained on short-term injured reserve for Week 13. There is a chance he could be activated for the Packers' next game Sunday against the Raiders, which would mark his last opportunity to return for the rest of the season.

Supernaw caught 1-of-2 targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 30-8 loss to the Jets.

Supernaw is essentially a non-factor in Tennessee's offense -- he has just three receptions for 32 yards despite suiting up for all 13 games this season.

Bell caught all three of his targets for 49 yards in Sunday's loss to the Browns.

Bell got the start with Vance McDonald (concussion) unable to suit up. He made good on the opportunities he received, but simply didn't get enough targets to have a big fantasy game. His size and athleticism make him an intriguing player to track down the road, but right now, it is tough to trust the rookie, especially with the likelihood of McDonald returning next week.

Ertz caught five passes for 98 yards in Sunday's win over the Bills.

Ertz caught the longest pass of his career in the fourth quarter, a 41-yard catch-and-run that set up the Eagles' game-winning field goal. Quarterback Sam Bradford continues to find Ertz in the air, and with the Eagles' offense clicking better than it has all year, Ertz has space to work among the team's weapons and get open. His production has been improving all season long.
